Locale molto carino e personale gentile. Il mercoledì è una serata hamburger anche se c’è poca scelta. Mi aspettavo meglio ma comunque buono.

Had a lovely pulled pork sandwich which was their special at the time, delicious, can't say much else. Two ladies behind the bar were very entertaining and the other customers were quite social (maybe because it was a bit empty when we arrived) Great pub, coming back even though I don't live here.

First of all, there was a very long queue out the door just to get a drink despite the pub being half empty. After being offered table service by a waiter, we sat down and ordered two bottled Rekorderlig ciders. Once they arrived, we were charged £16! I paid but I thought this was unreasonable so I checked the menu and the price was actually £6.80 per bottle (still very unreasonable). Therefore, we must have paid over £2 in service charge (which we were not told about as no bill was provided) for somebody to bring two bottles of cider from the bar to our table which was less than 5 meters away. Hospitality businesses should stop taking the micky out of its patrons. This left a nasty taste in my mouth I won't be coming back.

I finally managed to take my partner here for the Sunday roast. He can be quite picky, but The Selkirk didn't disappoint. Whenever I ate here, I really enjoyed the food. The portions are not huge, I personally could have done with more lettuce in my chicken caesar salad, but overall the food is really tasty. Everyone was super welcoming and friendly. Service got a bit slow when it got busy, but we weren't in a hurry. We loved the garden and the atmosphere overall.

Came here for the Sunday roast but first ordered the olives and squid. The olives was tasty but very small portion. The squid particularly was what made us leave. The portion size is very small for the price and it was too oily. So we left without getting the Sunday roast as i always take appetisers as an insight to the mains quality. Sadly I dont feel the serving justifies the price.

Booked a table for Sunday eve at 7 pm for roast ( I know it’s a bit late but they advertise kitchen till 9pm) or at least that’s what I’ve asked in the enquiry section of the booking system, they confirmed the booking straight away…went to the pub on the day of the booking and no roast left!! I honestly love this pub but if someone book for roast (it was initially 5 of us then change in to 7) the kitchen should make enough roast for all the booking first no? Mistake can happen of course but then again maybe let the booking know? We left without food of course

Where to start…so my girlfriend and I moved to the area about a year ago and have been in search for a local. Enter stage left, The Selkirk. Greeted by friendly staff, one naturally gravitates towards the garden and as a true Brit, a pub garden is a trump card for any pub. We went for their smaller starter plates and it was lovely at first bite. I have been there numerous times and yet to be remotely disappointed in any dish. Truly some of the best food I’ve had, not just pub food but restaurant food. Last night (Wednesday) was burger night. As a self proclaimed burger connoisseur, the juiciness and simplicity of their normal standard burger almost had me going back for another. I cannot rate this pub highly enough for a weekend boozer, a place to impress the in-laws or somewhere to host an event. 6 stars from me and I look forward to going again!

We decided to give this pub another go. First up we ordered cold beer that was served to us in a boiling hot glass. One of my pet hates. Then we ordered food from the bar and they put 15% on top. I queried why they had overcharged us. It’s 15% service charge. We then received our very expensive £37.50 for a burger and fish and chips. The burger was over cooked and dry. First burger I’ve never been able to finish. They fish looked and tasted on it’s last legs and sure enough 1 hour later girlfriend who ate the fish has an upset stomach.

Disappointed! I’ve wanted to visit The Selkirk for sometime, but such a disappointment! I appreciate it was busy upon arriving at about 6:15PM on a Saturday evening, but for some reason, only one of the two bars were open, where a long queue had formed. That’s fine, I thought, as I am sure they are on it and will clear it quickly. Sadly, that was not the case, where I could see the same people at the head of the queue over five minutes later. Some staff were serving, but more seemed to be wandering around or filling up the water jar on the counter! After over ten minutes of not moving very far, someone mentioned the other bar was now open. Great, so we moved around to the other side to see three people walking from the bar with their drinks. But upon getting to the bar, we were told it was still closed, so back to the end of the original queue again! Over twenty five minutes to finally get a drink in a pub is shocking. I would have left a good twenty minutes earlier, if it was not because we were there for a surprise party! Not a good start. I can’t say I warmed to the pub from that point on, but there was further frustration when ordering food. I am more than happy to pay a tip / service charge, when ordering from a table. But not sure about paying it, when ordering food at the bar! However, I can just about accept it, but to then add the service charge onto the full order, including a round of beers is not acceptable. Apparently I could have refused to pay it, but I was not made aware of it, nor was I given a receipt to show it was on there! So, shocking service, with every opportunity taken to add additional costs into your bill! I can’t say there were many redeeming features. The food was good, but it should be, given it’s not exactly cheap and the actual pub itself is great, so it is such a shame that the whole experience was so bad. If you are looking for a great pub, with a diverse clientele in the wonderfully culturally diverse area of Tooting, then don’t go to The Selkirk. I just found the whole experience rather annoying, frustrating and quite depressing!

Where to begin? I came to Tooting to visit my dad, who brought me down to the Selkirk for a Sunday roast. I’m used to the typical pub fare, but this completely blew me out of the water! I got the classic roast beef dinner and the meat was perfectly done to my specifications, the vegetables were perfectly seasoned, and the Yorkshire pud was appropriately gigantic. A friend had recommended this pub to me so I decided to stop by early on Saturday evening. We arrived between the rugby matches so it was quieter that it probably would have been an hour later and we were able to find a table for our pint. The pub itself is much bigger than I expected and the beer selection was good. We didn't eat any food (or see any) but we will be back to try it out!

Food is really pricey and not many gluten free options. We got a GF salad for £6 that was literally 4 leaves of small lettuce, a couple of slices of cucumber and 1/4 avocado. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good though

Atmosphere is nice, but food prices are too expensive. £18 for fish and chips!! Guinness was below average. Staff very friendly.

I was there on a Saturday night. It is a very busy, vibrant pub, bit loud but not unexpected as they were showing rugby on a screen. I did not have to wait very long to be served and the staff were polite.

I was genuinely delighted to learn that Putney library has launched a new snack bar. I had the pleasure of enjoying a hot chocolate made by a young gentleman, who skillfully prepared it to perfection—not too sweet—and even included a lovely design. This enhancement to the library's, services that brings me considerable happiness.

Recently had my birthday party at the Roundhouse, including 3 live bands. Luigi and his staff did an excellent job. The food was terrific and all the staff were great and the atmosphere was fantastic. A great hub for fantastic live music, excellent food and wonderful staff. Highly recommended!!!

Fantastic experience! The kids loved every second (agreed between 1 and 5) and the team did absolutely everything so that I could relax and enjoy it myself! Thank you!

Well where to begin. Now I know why we stopped going there. Used to be quite regular as I work nearby, first time I'd been for a couple of years ( COVID etc). On the night I visited, they had a huge choice of one ale, Sambrooks Junction, an average ale at best, if you look at the image on the Google listing of beer in a jug, you should be able to see through it, like the one I've attached, the beer I got was worse than the one they picture on the Google listing. The fish and chips were mediocre, you can see from their own picture how many chips you get, these are "triple fried", and some of them had done the full course at least 3 times, stick a fork in and they shatter. Portion of mushy peas in a thimble. Sorry, but disappointed, the first and last time I'll eat here and probably the last time I'll drink here as well. Over priced, only redeeming factors, the decor and the young lady serving in the dining area. Update: 15/10/24 I had the misfortune to be invited to the Wheatsheaf for a couple after work. I was the last to arrive, queued at the bar, tenner in hand, four people who came in after me were served before me, finally I was asked what I wanted, once again they had Sambrooks Junction on, so I asked for a pint, he went off to serve someone else, young guy dyed hair, black shirt, eventually got served by someone else, the beer was far too cold for an ale, cloudy and tasted awful, decided to drink it as I'd waited to long to get it, and probably longer to get it changed, made my mind up to have a Guinness for my next. 3* for food , wanted to order but one of us had to go and find someone to take the order, this was in the restaurant area. Good was of acceptable but not exceptional quality. 1* for service, see above. 3* for atmosphere, all hard surfaces, so noise just bounces off and everyone has too outshout the next table to be heard, that's why we elected to sit in the restaurant area. There are better places, to be polite about it.
