I came in the Merchant the other day. I didn’t know what to order. The lovely bartender Mitch suggested beer. I have never had beer before so was unsure. But I gave it a try. Turned out I love beer! I went on to drink 10 more! Thanks Mitch!

Booked a table to get a free burger first 100. I understand it was busy etc but it was very unclear in terms of when it was going to be served. Sat at our table for 2 hours with no burger. Influencers who weren’t even in the queue getting served first and a whole venue full of hungry people. Not the staffs fault they were lovely and seemed overwhelmed. Maybe some pre planning might have helped.

Love the new menu. I ordered the Gooey Louie and it was yum 😋 The staff are also very friendly! Will be back soon.

Visited The Merchant on Thursday night. Was a lovely atmosphere and Jada, ( bar staff) was very accommodating to my party's needs. Service always with a smile. There were a few item which weren't available on the menu when we ordered but that didn't dampen our evening as the team looked after us very well with alternatives offered. Thank you all!

Happening here on the off chance they were showing India v England T20 today. They put it on the big screen and put the sound on. Hats off to the barman! Highly recommend to watch sport.

Esta fue una manera fantástica de terminar nuestro viaje a Lindon. El gerente, Charlie, hizo todo lo posible para que nuestra experiencia fuera agradable, y la comida era deliciosa. El pudín de toffee pegajoso era excepcional, así como el pescado y las patatas fritas. Recomiendo encarecidamente si estás en la zona de Clapham y quieres darte un capricho.

I spent New Year's Eve here and was impressed by the bar staff’s excellent service. However, the DJ's outdated playlist was a letdown, and not playing Auld Lang Syne at midnight was a major oversight. Honestly, a Spotify playlist would have been a better choice than DJ Mike.

Lovely place, Mitch was fantastic, he gave great recommendations and service really amplifying the ambience of the pub making it an unforgettable experience.

Great pub in Clapham junction to watch sport.

Good pub to watch sport in - we went in there Saturday and watch rugby and football. They did double book our table for a bit which was annoying so we only got on the table as the football was kicking off however they did give us a round of drinks to make up for it. Be warned - it can get very hot in there when it is busy even in November!

Had a lovely time at the pub. I was seated and served by Mitch, who was very attentive and made sure we had a great night!

I went to the merchant of Battersea for a Christmas party on a Tuesday. I was dubious about the quality of the party given work had selected the single worst day of the week for it- however how wrong I was- Mich and Elise blew my socks off and made the night!! They were so attentive, the quality of the pints was second to none and they always served me with a smile! I can’t recommend this place enough!! Forget Ibiza, forget Pacha, forget Ministry of Sound- The Merchant of Battersea is where it’s at. P.s- can I get a gold card membership for the place? Cheers!

Fantastic night here every time I come! The Merchant won’t let you down! Highlights of the night were definitely Mitch and Elise.. made our night 100x better! Also shout out to the chefs!

I went to the Merchant the other day to watch the Rugby, had such a lovely time! What a place. The service was amazing. Made me feel at home. Big props to the staff, especially Elise, Mitch, and Jada. Will definitely be back!

Great for live music - Will is awesome. Toilets were a bit of a disaster (men’s weren’t working and long q for ladies). Staff satisfactorily friendly.

Cannot speak more highly of the whole team working at the Merchant last night. A challenging few hours for the staff with a young female falling rather unwell onsite. The duty of care and proactive response shown should be standard but it is not always the case in pubs/bars especially on a busy Saturday night. The staff went above and beyond to ensure the best outcome possible for the individual. Their patience and kindness didn’t go unnoticed. A massive thank you to the team, will definitely be returning to soak up the good drinks and enjoyable live music in the future.

Este lugar me cobró dos veces y me dejó fuera de bolsillo de 53 libras. Así que les escribí y aceptaron la responsabilidad y dijeron que me reembolsarían. Pensé muy bien. Todo esto es por correo electrónico. Desafortunadamente Dexter incumplió su promesa de que esto iba y venía. Dijo que lo envió a la oficina central pero él y la compañía pensaron que lo olvidaría. Esto le puede pasar a usted... también a los empleados de este establecimiento de mala reputación... tenga cuidado... si le hacen esto a un cliente piense en que no le pagan su salario. Great bar. The food is good, the atmosphere after work is very pleasant, they have events with live bands, show football (that i dont enjoy but a lot of people do), and is overall very pleasant. Very extensive drink menu as well.

Charlie the bartender was fantastic, just knew exactly when to recommend something; saw we were out of napkins and just brought them over, needed another drink he was there to ask. Just an all round top bloke and really made the place such a fantastic experience. Charlie you’re the best, we’ll be back!

Charlie was in charge and helping my partner and I who only popped in for a drink. He was amazing, we landed up staying for another 6 drinks, a starter , a main and a desert! All his recommendations which turned out to be 10/10 and would literally come back here just to have Charlie’s unbelievable service, professionalism, friendliness and ‘going the extra mile’ attitude again! I loved every minute! Thank you Charlie!!

Watched England semi final for the euros here, excellent atmosphere with loads of screens. Service was great as well despite the pub being packed!!

I visited The Merchant Pub of Battersea on one of their live music nights. During the evening I was subjected to verbal homophobic abuse by 2 young male customers. The first male's accomplice then joined In -he came over and invaded my personal space and started repeatedly touching me while laughing out aloud. I told the second male that homophobic abuse is a hate crime and is taken very seriously by the police and the criminal justice system. The second male's blonde female girlfriend then joined in and started threatening and abusing me. I asked the duty security guard for help and shockingly, not only did he refuse to assist me...he BLAMED ME for being victim to the homophobic abuse!!!!! Thankfully the duty manager then intervened. This is the second time I have been subjected to very upsetting homophobic abuse at The Merchant Pub of Battersea. To my fellow members of the LGBTQIA + community...please beware during The Merchant's live music nights. They have a certain proportion of regular clientele who are nasty and very homophobic at this pub, and are looking to intimidate, threaten and victimise members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I feel very sad that this is the second time this has happened to me at The Merchant Pub of Battersea on the day of PRIDE when the rest of the world is celebrating diversity and PRIDE. Does the owner of The Merchant Pub of Battersea understand that customers whi subject LGBTQIA + customers to homophobic abuse in your pub are committing a serious hate crime.

Good pub to watch the football during the Euros - also dog friendly!

The ambience - electric, the new menu - delightful, the staff - full of personality and life. A great great institution, incredible vibe, exquisite beer (Asahi). I’ll definitely be back (shock).

My friend and I popped into the merchant for a drink after dinner. There was a live band in playing which was great. After the live band they continued to play some music as it was time to start finishing up our drinks as it was closing time. The manager on duty kindly said we could finish our drinks and did not kick us out. Unfortunately I can not remember his name ( date : Saturday 9th of March) thank you to that manager it was very kind of you. Another thank you to Anna one of the bar staff who served us drinks she was super friendly and made an effort to interact with us. She was great and super friendly and should be acknowledge for her service and friendliness with customers as it was not only with us but everyone she served. We will definitely return. Natalia

Good floor staff and very bad food

I love that it has both a no-alcohol beer AND a lower alcohol beer on draft, so I can enjoy a few pints without worrying about drinking too much. Lucky Strike is the considered no-alcohol at 0.5%, and Rosa Blanca is lower alcohol at 3.4%.

The food was disgusting. We ordered various things and the buttermilk chicken was smelly, it smell to off. The calamari were tasteless and the same with the fish and chips. Very disappointed with the food.

We stopped in to watch the Arsenal defeat Brentford and we’re glad to be among other Gunners. Our waitress was great with draft and food orders despite it being busy. Our pub fair was good. I had fish & chips.

Recently refurbished this is a good place to watch sport and has a decent beer selection. Pints could be cheaper.

Great spot - live music, good deals during the week and good spot for friends!! Watched the world cup rugby and the vibe was great!!

We managed to book a table for 12 for the England rugby Semi-Final which is a result in itself (better than the rugby) and despite it being expectedly busy we were well looked after throughout and never without drinks. Great atmosphere to watch the rugby and would definitely recommend. A few of our party also had food and all had positive things to say about what they ate. We were so pleased we left a bottle of Prosecco to the girls that looked after us.

Reiltin was an incredible person and her service was impeccable. I’ve been coming here for years and have never had such good service!!! Thank you!

It's not a bad bar but felt the service was a bit naff. We came in for a few beers and to watch the rugby, big empty space at the back reserved from 5pm so they let us sit there until 4:30pm when they asked us to move to clear and get ready for the group - seemed excessive but alright. But at 6:30pm when the reservation still hadn't turned up and we weren't allowed to go back we decided to bounce. Won't return.
