Horrendous customer service - staff tried to intimidate and patronise me and my friends, forcing us to leave. Charged us £8 each for a pint of Guinness - asked others in the pub who said they paid £7.15. Overheard a member of staff say “charge them 8 each”. With so many amazing pubs in the area, I’d encourage anyone who wants to be respected and welcomed to go elsewhere.

I visited this venue for a ball that was held there by my university. The food was very poor and the drinks were overpriced. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go here as from my experience the chefs can’t care to put much effort into the food they send out.

Disappointed with the food and one of the staff. We went on the first open mic night. Got there early and got a good seat. Ordered some food, but the wrong food arrived, it was going cold by the time the second meal arrived by which time I had figured out who in the pub had ordered what we had delivered and took it to them myself. The food then arrived, my burger was ok but the other meal was just a starter tortillas with cheese and chilli. These are supposed to be large crisps, what we got delivered was the small broken ones from the bottom of the bag, had to be eaten with a spoon. I stopped one of the staff members going past and the look he gave was one of annoyance, like I had just peed on his dog! I asked him when the open mic would start as it was already 30 mins past the advertised start time, he just snorted and said very sarcastically “it’s on down stairs where the loud music is coming from”. No need to take his bad day out on the customers, I had asked very nicely. Apart from that it’s an average British pub, nothing special.

Rather expensive. Also a limited range of drinks for children. Central London prices (£3.85 for a bottled milkshake?!) which may explain why it seemed rather quiet.
