We had sunday roast last weekend and it's been a wonderful experience. Food was perfect (best sunday roast i've had so far, dessert also above average), the service lovely, we were nine people and evereything was smooth and on time. We really liked the new upstairs area, intimate and calm. The lady that served us (i think her name was kirst nut i'm not sure) was wonderful, very kind and precise. So evereything very very good, really recommended!

Always such a wonderful time at the C&B! The staff are so incredibly warm and inviting and their food doesn’t disappoint. Whether it’s a summers day sat outside with a pint or a cold winters evening by the fire and a mulled wine, you’re always in for a treat. Also 10/10 pub quizzes - one of the best in London!

I've been now for several times and it s always been amazing. Amazing food and atmosphere. Alex is such a vibe, and possibly a superhero in disguise. She’s the type who can take your order, recommend the perfect drink, and make you laugh all in the same breath.

It was a busy night just before Christmas and there were 2 ppl only working but the service was excellent. The girl I think Alexandra is her name was running like doing the floor and the bar. I had an incredible night.

Horrendous customer service - staff tried to intimidate and patronise me and my friends, forcing us to leave. Charged us £8 each for a pint of Guinness - asked others in the pub who said they paid £7.15. Overheard a member of staff say “charge them 8 each”. With so many amazing pubs in the area, I’d encourage anyone who wants to be respected and welcomed to go elsewhere.

Way too expensive, honestly. £7.5 for an IPA, £5 for a bowl of chips. Plus service.

Very charming victorian pub in a calm street of Notting Hill. We had a delicious lunch here. Great fish and chips, and other traditional British pub dishes. Great ambience and good service.

A typical English pub with its bell at 2245. Good food

We found The Cock and Bottle quite by chance. We peered into the pub and saw a number of empty tables. This is usually not a good sign for us. We entered anyway. From entering, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We soon found a table. The C&B didn't appear busy because many tables had been reserved. Drinks and meals were quickly ordered and the drinks soon arrived at the table shortly after. We all opted for Sunday Lunch, ordering different meats. We certainly weren't prepared for the size of the Yorkshire puddings. Who says the Southerners can't make Yorkshire Puddings. We're from North Yorkshire. The Puddings were impressive. The meal was the best Lunch I had tasted in a very long time. The bill was the same as other outlets in the area. The service was first class. By the time we left the pub was filling up nicely. So glad we ventured in. Thank you Cock & Bottle.

Its really a nice pub near to Notting Hill. I love the vibe there and seating area outside makes it special during sunny days. Even in winter they have heater outside so all good. Staffs were amazing and seating area inside too is better. Will love to visit again.

Went for Sunday Roast (we are from LA and until recently had never even heard that term!) and couldn’t have had a more delightful experience! The two women who served us were exceedingly welcoming, despite the fact that there was some mix up and my online reservation did not get through. Food was so tasty, and lovely atmosphere in outdoor seating across from beautiful old church on one side and adorable dogs (one very old one who was a regular and half blind and deaf, melted our hearts) on the other. A lovely experience all around! A highlight of our trip!

We absolutely loved this place, the Shepherd’s Pie was the best I have had, down to earth honest food. We had a meal for two pre theatre, the service charge being around £11.00. I asked for the service charge to be removed and gave the waitress £20.00, she was totally diligent and as said, the food was great and so was the wine. We will be back. There are so many places in the area to eat that are commercialised and just take footfall, the Cork & Bottle has a different feel to that, its "a find", a gem.

Went for a pint with a friend last night. Looked for somewhere to sit inside, but was told in quite an unfriendly way that everything was already reserved. Fair enough, it's Christmas. I looked around the pub. Nothing going, so we sat outside. I had a load of Too Good to Go baked goods, so I offered my friend a baguette from one of the bags. Halfway through eating it, the same staff member came out and castigated her for eating food not purchased in the pub. I get it and everything, but the whole exchange, on both occasions, was so rude. Beer wasn't bad though.

Completely uninspiring place. Half of the food that is offered on the menu was not available and the food that we got was bad, but expensive. The staff did not really care about this insufficiency as they did not care for us as guests anyway.

Usual pub in the area, decent bouillabaisse ( lots of fish/meat, overal taste muted) - ok drinks/wine. Generally nothing outstanding to distinguish it from other similar places in the area (?)

Awful service, manager is incredibly rude and incapable of taking correct orders- someone in our party’s roasts was really delayed so all our food went cold. Staff were hesitant to offer an alternative- would not recommend unfortunately

This place does a fab Sunday roast - even for vegetarians 🥰 delicious roast cheesy cauliflower with the works. Not the cheapest eat but a very good price for the quality you get!!

A suprising gem - amazing cheeseburger and chips. I live very close-by to this pub but have always been deterred by its ratings. Recently, I was forced to go due to reasons. A member of staff told me they recently employed a catering company to make their food. I was pleasantly surprised by their cheeseburger. It had a nice flamegrilled taste that is rare in London as-well-as all the accompaniments you'd expect with a great American style cheeseburger. The fries are also fantastic. Have been there again since to satisfy that burger craving.

Overcharge on my credit card which a year later was never followed up. Shame because we had a lovely evening.

Low quality of food: we got sausages and mussels with fries. Sausages tasted very average and the sauce didn’t add much; mussels were really hard as if they were frozen several times. Seems like a nice place to grab a drink but wouldn’t recommend the food at all. My rating: 3.0

Joke of a pub!! Charges almost £9 for a San Miguel!!!! Avoid at all costs

Charged £19.24 for a medium glass of rose (£10.25 - i confirmed how much this was, it was nice, so I’m fine with it being this price) and a pint of San Miguel…so this made the beer basically £9…for San Miguel 🤯🤯🤯 Absolute daylight robbery!!

Seriously 12.5% service when I queued at the bar to get my own drinks! Was told “that’s the price at the Cock & Bottle” and “the till adds it automatically”. Nah guys that’s just fraud. Bet the locals don’t pay service.

Beautiful pub, nice people but the beer just tastes that little bit worse when you pay £7.80 for a pint of IPA when the same costs significantly less in almost any other place in London.
