The best restaurants serving British food in Abbey Barking and Dagenham London

This cafe is in the heart of Barking. They cater for a variety of tastes and I love the combination of bacon and salad in the BLT. The salads are always fresh and the serving area is clean. The staff are attentive, but not over bearing. I think this is an ideal English cafe

We ordered orange juice expecting a fresh, natural drink, but instead, we were served a , carbonated orange beverage. This was disappointing, as it was not clearly mentioned anywhere that the juice would be carbonated or pre-bottled. We were looking forward to something fresh and authentic, not a fizzy, processed drink. Clearer communication on the menu or by the staff would have helped manage expectations. I hope the restaurant considers offering freshly squeezed juice in the future.

Haven’t been here for years, decided to have a nostalgia trip to Barking. Wish we hadn’t , although Cristinas remains a little gem. The steak frites are wonderful, beautifully seasoned steak, tasty fries and even the leaves had a pleasant dressing. Excellent service and a good price for such a nice meal. The toilets are spotless , always a bonus

Great friendly local karaoke nights are well supported. Bar staff are great. Home from home for me lol
