My husband and I enjoyed bacon rolls and coffee. Ladies who run it were very friendly. The cafe deserves more customers.

Dirty tables, staff who clearly had never worked behind a bar before, gin and tonic no lemon or lime, run out of branded glasses… really poor, come on it’s not that difficult!

From the moment we arrived the service and the quality of food was excellent.Could not fault it.we had the Christmas meal and all the food served was piping hot and full of flavour. In fact it was the best Christmas dinner we’ve had out for some time.Would definitely go back again.

I agree with previous review this restaurant has no ambience or atmosphere and I agree is lit like a bright cafeteria. Dimmed lighting and candles on tables would create a more intimate setting. Two young waitresses one was very quiet but pleasant, the other had an unpleasant attitude. Food was very lacking. We had cheese afterwards which was fridge cold-we asked for butter and 2 wrapped pats of butter arrived in the waitress’ hand not in a dish. Wine served in a very water stained glass-clearly no steaming and polishing of glasses here. Told waitress we were not happy she said she would tell her manager, we then went to our room. Breakfast was included in our room rate but we couldn’t face it the next morning, so went elsewhere. On check out we were not asked if we enjoyed our stay-says it all. Lack of management and poor staff training.

Visited this restaurant as it offered gluten free breakfasts. I am a coeliac so have to avoid gluten which is found in wheat, oats, barley and rye. All coeliacs know what happens when you eat gluten so I will spare readers the details suffice to say it is akin to food poisoning. After I left the restaurant I was unwell. When I contacted the restaurant later they insisted their products were gluten free and fell back on the old excuse that they do their best to avoid cross contamination but cannot guarantee it. They obviously did not take my complaint that I had been either served gluten or been given a dose of food poisoning when they glibly hoped that it would not deter me from calling again. I think that indicated to me the care taken to avoid this kind of situation. So for all you fellow coeliacs out there - just be aware.
