We have had some excellent food in here esp the fish and chips. Its far better quality that some of the more expensive gastro pubs nearby really recommend it

Had an excellent Sunday lunch, Pork with stuffing, apple sauce, roast potatoes and Yorkshire, separate dish of veg, extra gravy. It was really delicious. Such a shame that the pub is closing at the end of the month as no-one will take over the lease. Have been going to this pub for over 40 years, had many family get togethers here & my father who lives in the village will really miss his fish & chips. Hopefully someone will take it over before too long.

We needed somewhere dog friendly with space to park our motorhome that offers good food. A difficult ask perhaps but the Wharf Inn fulfilled all three requirements! Sunday lunch was excellent, the prawns were plump and perfectly cooked and the cheese sauce delightful. We both had the Sunday roast and we were pleasantly surprised with the vegetable selection. I hadn’t intended to order a sweet until I saw the apple crumble with custard. An excellent stop over.
