The best restaurants serving British food in Lubenham Harborough East Midlands

Came out for dinner with my mum for Mother’s Day. We didn’t get to sit altogether even though we had pre booked a table for 9. Had to wait over an hour and half to be asked for our orders on a preset menu. Dinner was served on dirty tables, with the children having to pay the same price as adults. £29.95. Dinner was served with raw veg, cold food. Glasses everywhere, and the toilets disgusting.the management were rude not welcoming. Definitely be not visiting again. The only good thing was the waiter however I feel legally he was not old enough to work!!! But for a young lad was the best thing there!

This building has such character and we love the open fire and the positioning of it overlooking the village. The Sunday buffet had plenty of choice but the meat was cut wafer thin and seemed a bit mean. Customer service was practically non existent. I can’t comment on the menu as we only had Sunday roast buffet and there was a good choice of meat and veg. Good value for money. A good time was had by all. I hope the new owners can make a success of it.

We ordered the beef filled yorkshire pudding, the beef was so over cooked. The whole meal was very bland. The pub is in a beautiful location but had an unpleasant smell when you arrived.
