I have rated this pub 5 out of a possible 5. In short I would advise a trip to this place. I had the ribs as the title of my review states. Mum and Dad paid which was ace - we did offer to pay but wasn’t allowed - aren’t they lovely.

Just had the best Sunday lunch on the Lincolnshire coast! 5* lovely choice of 3 meats and a great variety of vegetables including a yummy cauliflower cheese. It was very well presented, very hot and traditional. Well done everyone!

Popped in for something to eat on passing through Alford. Never been here before and it was lovely. A right hidden gem! It was very busy but all the young staff serving were spot on, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again!

Having visited for Sunday lunch, I was amazed to be told that at 1405 they had run out of Sunday lunches. Not deterred we tried to order a normal meal only to be told that they had run out of those also. It does beg the question if A. they had not ordered enough basic ingredients in the first place or B. they couldn't be bothered to to serve anything off the menus. They did say that we could order a lighter meals or cake so we decided to perceive. What a mistake my partner ordered a bacon and brie ciabatta and I ordered the chicken tikka and mint wrap. My partners meal came and having taken a bite she found virtually no bacon, and what was in the ciabatta was just bacon bits. As for my meal I found only 3 small pieces of chicken and the rest of it lettuce. We paid £28 for this car crash of a meal and feel thoroughly taken advantage of. it goes without saying that we will never visit again.
