The best restaurants serving British food in St Helen's Chesterfield East Midlands

We had the 2 courses for 18.95, obviously done at a price. The prawns cocktail starter was a bit of salad with poor quality prawns, tasteless. The 2nd course we had cajun chicken, the chicken was just shown the cajun, very poor quality, with a pile of chips, all tasteless rubbish.

Incredible gluten free menu!! I had chips, battered sausage and curry sauce (gf) the batter was perfectly crispy, the curry sauce was delicious and the chips were tasty too!! My partner (non gf) had chips, fish and mushy peas and he also really enjoyed his and he can be quite hard to please 😂 Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou!! We will be back!

Very good breakfast and exceptionally friendly staff. Our stay was cut short by the effect of the floods. We had planned to have our evening meal here on the strength of the breakfast.

Nicest bacon sandwich in chez xx also nice orange eggs nowt worse than snotty pale eggs this place does a nice tuna sandwich as well but they do cook the bacon lovely and well done

Went on speck for Sunday Carvery and although they were fully booked they found us a table for 2 which we could have for 1.1/2 hrs so service was very good as was the carvery would definitely recommend.

Our jacket potatoes and baked beans were cold. We should have taken them back. When I mentioned it there was no apology, she said 3 times, "you should have brought them back" the tone of voice insinuating that we were in the wrong.

Bought some tomato sausages went to cook them and they all split open turned to mush and to bin them as couldn’t tell if cooked or not waste of £4
