The best restaurants serving Asian food in Forest of Dean South West

I've been to this restaurant twice now, once with a large group of friends and once for a romantic dinner with my husband. Both times the food was very well prepared, served in a timely fashion and extremely delicious. I think the only let down, if you can call it that, is the bar area can get quite noisy at times.

Takeaway only on two separate nights, quiet midweek and busy Saturday night. Lots of dinners enjoying food on the Saturday, but a very efficient takeaway operation in place. Food is great... Not your ordinary 'Indian', but much more subtle but still with a kick. Nice complimentary onion salad, mint chutney, mango chutney with poppadom. Highly recommended as a locals 'secret'....

Faultless and delicious freshly cooked Thai dishes enjoyed immensely, in an informal and unpretentious setting with an intimate and friendly atmosphere. The small restaurant with limited tables allows this great little restaurant to produce freshly made dishes to order in a timely manner under the careful smiling eye of the proud owner 'Ice'! we sat in the small covered outdoor courtyard with our 2 dogs and had a lovely meal. The chicken satay was so fresh and moist and tasty - unlike many I've experienced elsewhere that are dry and tasteless and mass produced. Don't expect 50 menu choices - expect a well chosen selection of perfectly cooked dishes prepared on the premises, to suit mild or spicy palates, meat eaters and veggie / vegan. Highly recommend.

Not been here was a while usually go to Folk and Spoon. I thought the food was pretty poor compared to how it used to be! Had Cantonese style chicken, was really chewy and tasteless. Prawn Toast was soggy! Think I'll stick to Folk and Spoon .

I have been using this Indian for a while and never had a problem till last night. I can honestly say it was the worst Indian I've had. The curry was completely tasteless and clearly missing some key ingredients, the Keema Naan had no meat in it, the Peswari Naan no coconut and the Mixed pickle was still frozen. There's no way I'll be returning completely dissapointed.
