I have been using this Indian for a while and never had a problem till last night. I can honestly say it was the worst Indian I've had. The curry was completely tasteless and clearly missing some key ingredients, the Keema Naan had no meat in it, the Peswari Naan no coconut and the Mixed pickle was still frozen. There's no way I'll be returning completely dissapointed.

Good lovely food . But the barman needs lessons in customer service. I’ve heard many complaints.

Fabulous meal here, the service was brilliant (despite the 33degree heat) hand sanitizer and screens in place. Table service. The food was hot, plentiful and quality brilliant. Both of us had different curries that were equally as nice as each other and starters and sides were lovely too. I am fussy when it comes to curry and always go back to the same curry house (after trying many) but I will certainly order take-away from here and also use the restaurant facility again. :)

I personally wouldn't recommend this place. The chicken was raw in both meals. The onion bhajis tastes like they were cooked with fish in the fryers. All the food was very greasy. The chips were very greasy and from the chip shop next door. Staff were friendly and helpful with our complaint.

We went here a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t impressed by either the service or food. I noticed you used kebab chicken meat from next door which put me off, think I’ll stick to the curry leaf in Cinderford

This was an experience not worth trying again but sharing. We were staying at a place (booked via Air BnB - another story) and our host advised us to try this local restaurant as it was great. Not a bad location, however, a little stuffy and quite close to the front door. Cigarette smoke does drift in from customers smoking outside. After nearly 90 mins of waiting, the food finally arrived. I had a Chilli Chicken and my wife had Dahl Makhani. Neither of these curries was what we expected them to be...all the bad side. I love my curries (as you can imagine) but my Chilli Chicken was like a desert in that it was full of pineapple and sweet stuff. Alas, not a chilli in sight albeit I did ask for the dish to be extra hot. My wife had what I can best describe as "lentil mash"....not very pleasant to look at nor taste. Overall, it's the only place around Ruspidge for a spicy meal. On that basis, you get what you get. Don't expect style nor flavours as you would do in areas where there are more Indian restaurants and hence cooking styles. Of course, the price also reflects the lack of supply in the area of alternative restaurants.

I use these guys all the time, I don’t go anywhere else for our Indian now. We have eaten in the restaurant many times and have had countless takeaways. The food is so carefully cooked it’s like a home cooked meal. Always full of flavour. Staff always friendly - don’t skip this place!

Visited on a saturday evening, nice atmosphere and superb service which was speedy and efficient, friendly staff. Food was lovely but for me the onion bajee lacked a little flavour, chicken korma was lovely and the veg fried rice was excellant as was the stuffed poratha

Each time I have been and its now quite a few, I haven't been disappointed. The fish is beautifully fresh, nice thick flakes of cod. All the flavours are good. Nothing is too much trouble and although the dishes come as a meal on a plate we have extra plates to enable us to share. The fish Pakoras as a starter are one of my favourites. My daugher has popadoms, not the usual tasteless things you buy in the supermarket, with the chutney tray and with them usually onion bagees, again fresh, not over spiced but a nice crisp outside and fluffy in the middle as they should be. for mains we usually have 3, this usually is made up of the Seafood thali, the house fish and the Garlic Bhuna with Cod. all of it comes with lovely fine rice and salad. In addition we have a side of Saag Aloo, has a good amount of spinach and chilli, not just potatoes. The drinks were 2 pints of cola, 3 bottles of Becks Blue and 2 x 1/2 cobra with a glass of chardonnay. Total cost £62 for the 3 of us and we were stuffed. No space for puddings. Good value. Will be visiting again soon. As this also has a fish and chip shop as part of it next door, they cater for kids such as pizza, sausage etc

Fantastic Indian. we both had difference starters and mains - and they were all great. Rice a little different, but tasted good. Jut the right portion size as well - it does;t overtake you like so many do. This is going to be one of our regular haunts from now on.

Found this little restaurant by chance. Very comfortable decor with chilled Indian background music. The menu is not overly extensive, which is great, but enough to suit everyone. My husband and decided to try different dishes both starter and main, we were pleasantly delighted. At last we have found someone in the Forest of Dean that can actually cook Indian food with flair and imagination. Thoroughly enjoyed our food, plus they serve Cobra on tap. Very attentive waiter. Will be making return visit very soon.

Had a take-away for the first time tonight for 3 people and what a surprise. Starters and popadoms, 2 main courses, 2 vegetable side dishes, 2 chapatis and rice for less than £25 and each dish individual. Will certainly be going back.

Faultless and delicious freshly cooked Thai dishes enjoyed immensely, in an informal and unpretentious setting with an intimate and friendly atmosphere. The small restaurant with limited tables allows this great little restaurant to produce freshly made dishes to order in a timely manner under the careful smiling eye of the proud owner 'Ice'! we sat in the small covered outdoor courtyard with our 2 dogs and had a lovely meal. The chicken satay was so fresh and moist and tasty - unlike many I've experienced elsewhere that are dry and tasteless and mass produced. Don't expect 50 menu choices - expect a well chosen selection of perfectly cooked dishes prepared on the premises, to suit mild or spicy palates, meat eaters and veggie / vegan. Highly recommend.
