Ordered chicken tikka masala at 7 30pm on day of England semi final. Staff very obliging. Food - very mediocre - strange colour - pink!!!!!!! Not much chicken laced with half a pint of coconut sauce. No vegetables whatsoever! Certainly not appetising. Won’t be going again!

After a disappointing meal with poor service on our last visit, we tried them again this evening, hoping that was a one-off; but won’t be back! The service is usually poor to be fair and they did once try to seat us right outside the toilets, a table we declined. However the food is usually really good and there is a nice atmosphere. We were surprised that the place was almost empty on a Saturday night when we arrived; that should have been a red flag! One of our party didn’t get their meal until the rest of us had almost finished, which was awkward. The kitchen apologised; but didn’t remove it from the bill without our protest. The food was rather bland, lacking any real flavour and nobody came to check on us, or came to take a further drinks order until we were ready to leave. Very poor - such a shame :-(

Great service, BUT 2 different main course curry dishes tasted so bland almost as if they forgot to add any seasoning at all. Prob most tasteless curries we have ever had which was Chicken Passanda - mostly cream, and Chicken Rani Raji. I informed waiter and he insinuated it was our palates..... Shame.

The staff are very friendly and efficient. I ordered Vegetable Noodles and my partner a Vegetable Biryani. We received huge portions of incredibly bland food. The vegetables had very little taste and had the format of mass produced supermarket items rather than freshly prepared. Overall this large portion of bland food meant that neither of us ate much of our orders - lady on the table next to us ate very little of her Biryani either. Would recommend smaller portions of much more interesting taste with fresh veg

We were visiting the area and called in for an early dinner on a week day. We both agreed it was the best curry we'd ever had. (I had vegetarian, my partner had meat.) Delicious flavours and didn't sit heavily as many curries do. If I lived locally, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My friend and I received a friendly welcome and found lots on the menu that look really good. They were also happy to make anything that we fancied but couldn't see. We opted to share a Gurka Special as a starter which was an assortment of King Prawn / Lamb Sekuwa / Tandoori Chicken / Chicken Wings / Chicken Tikka served in hot platter, with some side salad. We enjoyed a pale ale and a cider whilst we ate these and then waited for our main courses. I had Sowadilo Curry (medium) prawn cooked with Mango and spicy sauce and yogurt. My friend had Nepali Lamb Curry (medium) Slow cooked fresh lamb and ginger, garlic, onion, tomato, and masala cooked with spinach. Both with pilau rice and complimentary papadums and dips. We were stuffed. Could not fault the delicious food or the friendly service.

Their Nepalese menu is the best I’ve ever had. Good for dining in and takeaway. Food always cooked from fresh which is never compromised. At times a very busy establishment which is testament to the quality of the food. Dined in and have had takeaways from here often - won’t go anywhere else for a curry.

The food is excellent. There is plenty of choice on the menu of Indian and Nepalese food. In a pub with a nice atmosphere and excellent beers. The staff are friendly and attentive. What's not to like?!!! My wife was raving about this place after a works do the week before. So it sounded the perfect place to go with my friends on our monthly pub meal trip. We weren't disappointed. In an area saturated with Greene King pubs (and similar menus), this was a real treat and a very welcome change. I would definitely recommend it! Oh, and do have a starter. Otherwise, you'll miss a treat.

This is my local curry restaurant and the food is superb. Portions are good (the Tandoori Mixed Grill lasts my partner 2 days) and its lovely and fresh. Really tasty and not oily like other curry places, the meat is high quality and large chunks. Sometimes there is a wait for food as it's really popular, but their estimates as to when it will be ready are usually very close. I can't fault them really.

My wife & I had a 2 night stay here in early September. Our room (at the back of the property) was quiet, spacious and spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds. The four evening meals we chose from a menu of fairly traditional items, were all very tasty and well cooked - perfect after a long day out. Breakfasts were also enjoyable with a good choice of food, to set you up nicely for the day ahead. We found all the staff to be cheerful, friendly and very helpful. Overall an enjoyable stay, ideal for exploring the surrounding area. Great value for money too.

My partner & I arrived promptly at 7:25 for a 7:30 reserved table. We were pointed in the general direction of table 4 which was at the end of the dining room. Having ordered drinks at the bar, I had to go to the bar and remind the staff some 15 minutes later. Eventually said drinks arrived. We placed our order and waited between 20 & 30 minutes for the starters top arrive and when they did, the waitress apologised for the wait. Having waited almost an hour for the mains to arrive, we were on the verge of settling the bill for what we'd received and go home, when the waitress arrived with hot plates, ready for the mains. What annoyed us the most, was that 'takeaway' meals appeared to go out on time but people who were seated after us, were served their entire order before us. Eventually, a 'manager' appeared and apologised for a 'shortage of staff, saying that he had had to deliver the takeaway meals. He told us he was deducting 10% off our bill for our trouble. Although the service was abysmal to say the least, the food was excellent.

Have been a very frequent customer over many years. The last two visits have been very disappointing. The Chicken Madras attracted me back time after time , but the standard now is well below previous visits. The dish is now smaller chunks of chicken resting at the bottom of a bowl of liquid. There was little spice and was generally tasteless. Complained to the manager and he was indifferent to my complaint, offering no concession. I was left feeling as though my business was of little value, wont be going back.

We had a 'fixed' menu which was very tasty, well presented and the service could not have been better. One commented that it could have been 'spicier' - but all agreed very well cooked. We will return

Family and friends gathered for Gina’s birthday celebration meal. We were seated at the lower end. Drinks order taken and delivered. Food orders taken and delivered perfectly. The young waitress double checked everything. She was lovely professional and smiley. We would recommend eating here, food was fantastic. Thank you 10 out of 10

The food was great with great staff to back it up nothing was too much trouble considering there was 18 of us in a Sunday evening. I can’t recommend It enough will be going back again.

Drive past here everytime we go to Gloucester Quays, never been in until today. Won't be the last time, friendly service and food was lovely. I had sausage and onion baguette and you can taste the quality. Comes with a crisp fresh salad and just the right amount of chunky chips. Definitely call in again next time we go to the quays

I have yet to enjoy a curry more than one at or from the White Hart. Bimal is a great host and I have never been disappointed when eating in or getting a takeaway from the pub. Apart from the regular curry dishes, there is a good selection of Nepalese ‘house specials’ which I would definitely recommended as well as a good selection of draught pints.

We had to travel for work, and we really enjoyed staying at this little village pub. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly, the chef had a lovely curry that we had for dinner plus a really nice continental breakfast. The beer was great and reasonable prices. Our bedroom unfortunately was up in the roof which was a bit of a hazard for my partner, being tall he hit his head a few times. But we both had a sound sleep and ready for work the next day.Very beautiful setting. Hidden little gem, thank you

We spotted this lovely place driving past and found positive reviews on Tripadvisor so decided to book. Fantastic decision as it was an amazing find! Beautiful curry and the chicken noodles were delicious. Staff were so friendly and welcoming too. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

Good service, table very sticky ! The Raja Rani lamb was excellent ! I thought the bar prices were very high. I paid 4 pounds 50p for a cider shandy that was mostly lemonade.

This is the second time we have been to this pub in 5 years on our way to the Land Rover experience at Eastnor. We cam back a second time as it was so good the first time that it was a lasting memory and something we wanted to add to our itinerary. We were not disappointed, the quality of food, service and overall hospitality remains superb. The curries are simple but my god, are some of the best we have ever tasted! Recommend going with the Nepalese dishes and watch the portions, they are big!

En general, no es una comida agradable.Solo vimos a un miembro del personal, que como siempre fue muy profesional, pero parece que tenían poco personal y alguien en la cocina que no era el chef original. Me reuní con la familia por primera vez en meses para almorzar. El menú no es enorme, pero la selección es suficiente y los tres pedimos rápidamente. Tuve un par de cosas para llevar desde aquí desde el cierre, absolutamente increíble cada vez. Recomiendo encarecidamente los bhajis de pollo y cebolla con chiles dulces para los entrantes y la parrillada mixta tandoori y las madrás de pollo y champiñones como plato principal. Decided on a Saturday night takeaway and were really pleased with the quality, service and value. The prawn Biryani was probably the best I have had. The meal was great and I would definitely go back again.

I ordered a take away delivery gave my phone number for any difficulties. An hour later no food and no answering the telephone. Extremely disappointed trying so hard to buy and support local businesses but eventually when I got through on the phone it was clear my order was not ready so now not only do I have to cook. I'm really upset that my best intentions have been wasted. Really poor communication I would have accepted a call to say how busy they are and I am pleased the community is supporting them. But not good enough for me sadly.

Really enjoyed our meal. Good food and plenty of it. I took some of mine away for the next day. Friendly staff. Lovely open fire. Ring ahead if you want a take away to avoid waiting.

Regularmente vamos aquí para llevar, nos gusta hacer nuestro pedido y pedir que esté listo en aproximadamente una hora, luego podemos tomar un par de bebidas en el bar antes de llevar nuestra comida a casa para comer. This was our go-to place, both family and friends: excellent hospitality and curries. But we've tried to go twice recently and both times it's been unexpectedly shut on a weekday evening with just a note on the door: nothing on their website nor social media to suggest they'd be closed. Fair enough once for an emergency, but twice? So two wasted journeys and disappointed groups hoping for a curry, including some overseas visitors. If you're going to close the pub on certain nights, please put it on your website and/or social media.

We were recommended the White Hart. We arrived for a 7.30 table and found parking difficult. The place is a pub so it has a good number of drinkers as well as diners which we found a little off-putting as it felt more like pub grub than a restaurant. We sat down and awaited menus etc. The wine list is quite basic and didn't feel like a wine list for this type of restaurant. We ordered a bottle of wine and our food. When we ordered I asked for 6 poppadoms to be had whilst waiting, these never arrived. The starter arrived ONE HOUR after ordering. We asked about the dealy and we were told that the takeaways were taking 45 minutes (this did not help as we were a restaurant diner this was a poor excuse and made us even more disappointed in the response) We ordered the Gurkha Special starter which is £12.95. This was a mixed tandoor type of starter. The prawn was very overcooked, the chicken was OK, the lamb was tasty. It lacked a sauce or dip. For main my partner had a Chicken Tikka Masala which when it arrived looked like chunky tomato soup, and it tasted very bland and the sauce was very runny. It has a funny aftertaste and was just not great! I ordered the Nepalese Lamb Curry which was amazing but after waiting an hour for the starter and then getting our main 10 minutes after it did not make up for the mistakes! The rice was good. The Garlic naan didn't taste of garlic at all. The bill for 2 with a bottle of wine was £60.00 which was OK if it had been better, for the service and quality of food this was expensive in my opinion. The restaurant staff is young and very helpful but the management seems to be lacking. We would not go back.

Friendly staff on greeting surprisingly quiet for a pub during the day. Good points food is fantastic apart from desserts where a tad smaller than the average place. Bad point is there should be more customers in there.

Called by for dinner on spec and was very warmly received. Service was really good and the menu presented a number of enticing options. Opting for Nepali main course dishes we were very pleasantly surprised, food was good, service was excellent. Among the starters the onion baji was outstanding.

A great place to go for a beer and a curry. They offer a wide range of drinks including 2 or 3 cask ales which are always well kept.

Definitely a treat more expensive than a usual Indian restaurant, but certainly worth it the onion bhaji are enormous and the staff are extremely polite and courteous stayed for hours. Will definitely visit again.

After a very pretty morning walk with lovely views over Gloucestershire, a group of 12 of us were reday for a linch at The White Hart. The food was good and served with a smile by one of the owners a former Ghurka. We want to go back try the more adventurous evening menu of Nepalise food.

The Nepalese food is of the highest quality and all of the staff are very friendly. They cater for vegetarians and coeliacs (gluten-free) as well as serving English food. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. They can cater for groups.

Just had supper here. The food was as good as we remembered from 3 years ago. Everything seemed to be freshly cooked, and was really tasty. Will certainly visit again. Certainly worth the 30 mile round trip !

Excelente comida. Lástima las instalaciones para llenar su agua en su autocaravana. Manguera sucia cubierta de grasa rancia vieja, rodeada de contenedores de basura en descomposición. Realmente disfruté de mi estadía aquí hasta la mañana siguiente, antes de salir, encontré prácticas de higiene tan deficientes en la parte trasera del hotel (que supongo que es donde están las cocinas), especialmente porque esta es el área a la que se envía para rellenar el agua. I walk to this charming pub restaurant as often as possible 3 to 4 miles from the docks wonderful . Always made very welcome by great staff ,the lunchtime food and menu is traditional English and is very well presented .The evening is Nepalese and is frequented very regulary by a lot of people who come back again and again the prettiest pub inside and outside for miles. with excellent staff that make you welcome

The serve nepalese food in the evening and it's spot on. The staff are lovely and it's a great little rustic pub. We go there often as I work just around the corner. We even order take away for meetings in the office.

We visited as a group of 4 on holiday, the service was warm and welcoming, the food was delicious and a good atmosphere. We will definately visit again when we return next year.

I was staying in the area and met a colleague here for an evening meal. The food was really nice with good sized portions and good value. Lovely selection of curries available.

We all chose the whitebait to start with which was really tasty followed by the roasts and pie of the day. The vegetables that accompanied the meals was just how I like them, crispy and fresh.

Nothing special from the outside, likewise inside. Service and atmosphere was very average but the food was exceptional. And ultimately that’s what we were there for and will definitely go back.

Four of us ate here yesterday evening. The Nepalese food some in a Ghurkha style was very tasty. The menus was excellent and all that you would expect from an Indian type restaurant. The wine menu was short but covered a good variety of wines at a very good value offering at £13.75 a bottle.

We went as a party of 7 on New Years Eve and had a great time. Good beer and excellent food from their evening curry menu. Portions were far larger than you usually receive and the service very attentive. If we lived closer, this would be a monthly visit at the very least. Excellent place

Wow, been wanting to go here for many years just never got round to it! The place is ran by Gurkhas and I would recommend the Nepalese dishes as they are brilliant but also different! They obviously do the normal curries too! Good service with a smile from all and prices are sensible! Don’t be put off by the tired pub type look, the food is amazing!

A super place. The food, service and beer were so good and the menu so inviting, we had to go back the next evening for another meal. Delicious little lamb dumplings (momos) were delicate and yet so tasty. Curries range from the normal choices to some slightly more specialiality, all of the dishes we had were excellent. What was lovely was the ease with which they created a non spicy dish for the curry hating veggie! Everyone who served us was charming and helpful. We will go back again.

We were passing through Maisemore one day and fancied a beer in a quiet country pub. We pulled into the car park and thought the white hart was a typical English pub, how wrong we were! The bar area is clean and spacious and has all the charm of a village pub but the food!! We were delighted to find the restaurant is Nepalese. The depth of flavour and spicing is amazing. Great quick polite service. The waitresses are very smiley and courteous. What a find! We have been back twice more since and it just gets better each time. Reasonably priced too. 10/10.

Nuestro grupo de cuatro, visitó el viernes por la noche que es muy popular para el curry. El menú promueve Curris nepalesa, aunque el normal los curries indios están disponibles también. Tres de nosotros optamos por especialidades de Nepal y uno atrapado con un Jalfrezi, pero todos convinieron en que sus comidas eran excelentes, condimentadas a el nivel adecuado. El bar tenía dos cervezas y había una selección de cervezas. Una velada muy agradable, y sin duda volveré.

He revisado este antes, pero creo que es necesario actualizar a 5* como he estado un par de veces ya y la comida es bastante excepcional. Visited for a meal with my wife on Saturday evening fantastic service even though they were really busy. Staff really helpful food excellent great nepalese curries thoroughly recommend this great pub restaurant.

Called in with my two children. Staff didn't seem to really want our business. Service was poor, seemed that locals were served first. Onion Bhajis were greasy and mains chicken was either overcooked or old. Definitely wouldn't recommend especially if you have kids.

Me and my friends went there we all had starters and main and I can say it the best Nepalese food I've had in the Gloucestershire area so far very tasty and a well portioned meal and not to pricey.worth a visit.

Only our second try at Nepalese food, loved it. If we lived near by would make it a regular eating place.

Stopped by here for Sunday dinner. The starters where beautiful presented, and tasted good however when the roast comes out the pork was tough, and there wasn't much taste... presentation wasn't great in the mains either.. and lumpy mash!

Went on Saturday night and it was really busy. Good service and excellent food, with good choice of drinks and great atmosphere. Have a,ready recommended it to friends, so will definately return. Excellent prawn curry, rice and bread.

I took my family for a meal on Saturday. The food was amazing and the service first class. We had numerous dishes and all were tasty and beautifully presented. A great restaurant.

Not only is this the village "local" it is also a first class Nepalese restaurant serving a wide range of starters and main courses, in addition to a wide range of beers and spirits, of course. I think there are desserts too, but we were so full we didn't have any. The staff made us welcome as soon as we walked in and the service was attentive without being pushy - we were asked if we would like a pause between courses - we took the chance to pause - the starters aren't small! We would certainly visit again on our next trip to Maisemore. This was my husbands "local" when he was growing up and in those days the only food was a bag of crisps or maybe a picked egg - thankfully it's different now.

1st time to The White Hart and what a great experience,food was fantastic it really was very good , very nice friendly staff and efficient service.This is a nice casual relaxing place to visit and eat with plenty of choice on the menu.
