The best restaurants serving American food in Mid Wales

Proper bacon, proper burgers, homemade deserts. Lovely staff. Not your usual roadside van. 100% recommended. There's nowhere else I'd rather go.

Louise & Sophie were very welcoming for our planned visit. All the food came piping hot- there was 15 of us!! Excellent food, very tasty & reasonably priced too. Louise even put the ice cream machine on for some delicious whippy ‘99’ ices which were lovely. This little diner is spotlessly clean, the decor is a great take on retro. Lovely atmosphere. If you haven’t called in to sample the food then you’re missing out!! We are definitely going back, well worth a visit.

First time back here for 3 years In B.C before covid Had a nice refurb since then Very glam Limited menu with about 5 main course choices but that can be better than overloading it Park is for residents but visitors are welcome Also Dog freindly even sell treats and toys for dogs Quiet when we come and deserves to be busier

stunning views towards pen-y-fan , lovely to sit out on a gorgeous day , most stunning burger ever and delicious fries and yummy coffee , lovely friendly staff , clean and nice decor .

I love it! Everything was wonderful

Went for a Birthday meal with the wife and I was really disappointed with the meal I had. I ordered the 10oz Aberdeen Angus Fillet steak cooked medium. When the meal arrived the plate looked really disappointing. Two small 5oz fillets that were only just about warm. A small piece of Onion Cake. One small quarter of a tomato and some pea shoots and to make it worse the Bone Marrow sauce I ordered was cold and congealed. The steak has a small pat of butter on top that didn't melt at all and it was the same when I moved it on to the plate as this was also cold. I mentioned this to Tom the waiter who felt the plate and agreed that it was cold. My wife wanted a glass of Prosecco to go with her meal so when we asked the waiter who delivered our chips he said that he wasnt trained to do that but would ask someone else. In the end half way through her meal we had to ask a Floor Manager for the drink who then sorted us out. We go quite regularly to Miller and Carter and this was by far the worst meal we had. It was if my plate had been laid up by the chef but then left to stand for quite a few minutes. There seemed to be a lot less staff then normal and the presentation of the food was extremely poor. I will give it another chance and they did knock 20% off the final bill which was appreciated. I was so disappointed and my wife was really upset as she was treating me as it was a Big Birthday and she kept apologising to me when it should have been Miller and Carter doing the apologising. A sad end to a good day.

Every time i come to this place (Hoping the service had improved) something goes wrong with the food i order, it’s either cold burgers, under cooked fries, never any frozen fanta’s available, milkshakes taken off the menu along with the rest of the desserts. Never gets sorted out. The staff always seem rushed or stressed out even though its very quiet most of the time and finally they fail to restock a number of items on time. I swear some of these “good” reviews are fake, everyone in this town knows it needs to go!

Went here for lunch hungry, ordered on the little screens and decided to pay with cash. Sat down and realised our order wasnt on the screen but just thought we got the wrong number. Sat there for 25 mins waiting then tried to order again. Waited there for another 5-10 mins then went to ask and apparently we had to pay at the desk before they prepared it when we thought we payed when we got the food. No insturctions at all, hope they will chamge it. Food was nice but employes annoyed and non sympathetic

Booking hadn’t been written down when we arrived. Waited 2 hours for main food which meant the people who didn’t have starters sat hungry for 2 hours. When it did come it was a mediocre dry burger. Had to pay for anything else to arrive on the plate. Over cooked fries cost £6.50 to eat with the burger. The place was empty so no excuse for how long it took. Empty on a Saturday night speaks volumes. Horrified at the cost for 2 adults and a toddler who just had a £5 dish of pop corn chicken. Never again!
