The best restaurants serving American food in High Peak East Midlands

Superb food and exemplary service at our family and friends gathering for our sons Good Luck and very early 21st Birthday. The buffet was exemplary and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Cannot praise or recommend high enough.

Had a table booked for me year Arrived about 5 minutes early but the table was ready, yes it was busy but not too noisy and the staff were very attentive but not overpowering. Our simms order was taken and arrived quickly. We were given time to look at the menu and when we were ready our order was given. Big driller for the hubby and a ribeye steak for myself. Uploaded the fries as well. When the food arrived it was well presented and pipping hot which goes well with me as I don't like food tepid in a restaurant. The steak was cooked to perfection for me but boy there was a lot of food. The wine was also good and reasonable price. Just to be totally piggy a pudding was also had, again far to much for one as next time we will share Thank you lone star for a good meal See you soon

Came in for lunch on a Saturday. Great selection of beers on tap and excellent value burgers and pizzas. Our favourite spot in Buxton.

Had a lovely experience at into the woods for our wedding anniversary. Lovely food and atmosphere and the staff were attentive without being over baring. We enjoyed it so much we've booked again in a few weeks for a birthday treat.

Ordered for our family on January 1st. Took just over two hours for our delivery to arrive. They phoned us after an hour saying it'll be another 45min "do we still want the food". Took another hour for it to turn up. Onion rings and chips totally cold and rubbery. They stopped picking up the phone so we couldn't find out if/when it was actually going to arrive. Totally understand it's sometimes incredibly busy but could have been better dealt with just by communicating better. No refund or compensation offered.

This place is now called Bar Wan I would give ***** for food and *** for service On this occasion, when we arrived it was quiet, the staff were lovely, food ordered and arrived quickly, steaming hot and fresh. Food is amazing! Then. It got very busy with some large groups and the staff became way out of their depth! Couldn’t cope! Called for more staff to help. Eventually asked if we would like to order desserts (when we stood to pay) and thanked us when we said no. We got some gu puddings from Sainsbury’s (at £2.50 for 2) and ate them back at our hotel. I would visit again.

I've had a take away twice from here and the food is delicious very tasty good portions. Highly recommended .

Great service, really nice staff and most importantly, the food was good. Only had burgers, and cheesy chips but was on time and lovely.

Even with new management this place is disgusting and underpar. The staff still on another planet! The premises stinks to high heaven due to the know drainage problems the restraunt has (you can find details of its hygenew and structural rating on Derbyshire County councilshow website) they employ small members of staff on ZERO HOUR CONTRACTS Also still using two small batch fryers to fry both fries and chicken (vegetarian and meat in the same fryers) (and an illegal practice in the restaurant trade) Vegans and veggies don't dine here for your own safety... anyone in general.. jut don't go here. Derbyshire County council if you read this shut it down with immediate effect.
