KFC in High Peak

Even with new management this place is disgusting and underpar. The staff still on another planet! The premises stinks to high heaven due to the know drainage problems the restraunt has (you can find details of its hygenew and structural rating on Derbyshire County councilshow website) they employ small members of staff on ZERO HOUR CONTRACTS Also still using two small batch fryers to fry both fries and chicken (vegetarian and meat in the same fryers) (and an illegal practice in the restaurant trade) Vegans and veggies don't dine here for your own safety... anyone in general.. jut don't go here. Derbyshire County council if you read this shut it down with immediate effect.

Food is always below standard. Tried it years ago, tried it twice in the past 6 months (I like to at least give places the benefit of the doubt!) But sadly, this place doesn't get any better. Think its time to close its doors and open a different brand of fast food restaurant that actually serves HOT (or even warm would be good!) Don't know how it survives. Also the inside is ALWAYS filthy!

Quick service standard KFC as expected from this chain. You could park for free for a short time just behind the restaurant.

Visited as a day tripper to Buxton on Sunday 14th July . there were not very many eating establishments but the KFC caught our eye and appetite. Service was slow. tables were not clean. Spilled food on floor. No hot drinks - machine had broken. Ordered 6 piece bargain bucket . Chicken was overcooked , was only lukewarm and tasteless as well as very dry. Chips were near enough cold. We ate enough to satisfy our hunger and binned the rest . Ads we were leaving , one of the staff came out to wipe the tables and to sweep the floor. I have emailed KFC with a complaint buts yet I have not received a reply.

Ordered the 15.99 boneless chucken meal deal Was so surprised.. chicken was Gorgeous... red hot fries, beans n corn,, ice cold bottle tango. Staff VERY POLITE n helpful.... if any persons have problems with a meal...PLEASE tell the staff instead of leaving negative comments.. be back here next month..

We always have a bargain bucket with gravy as sides and we did on this occasion, a ten piece bucket to be precise. Whilst waiting I noticed customers in front of me checking their meals when they had been served, which was not encouraging and prompted me to do likewise and I'm glad I did. I had ordered two gravy's but only got one. I queried this and it caused problems as there was an offer on, an offer I had not been made aware of. To cut a long story short I left with two gravy's. On arriving home and really looking forward to our meal, we opened the gravy and it was like glue - absolutely solid. The chicken was no where near as spicy as it should be and quite tasteless and warm (and we only live up the road)! We won't be going back.

kfcs ive enjoyed over the years but this one , the coating on the chicken was very dark with no flavour and the chips must have been cooked in cold oil , total waste of money and very disapointing

At my time at Buxton and leek college I come to kfc most days as I like chicken. However recently it has been getting out of hand with there opening times. I believe that it is very unprofessional and out of order. The only good thing about it is Elaine Bradley who hasn’t been there recently and she should be promoted.

I asked my husband to get me three pieces of chicken and chips while he ordered a burger and chips after he had been out with friends today. He got home and 2 pieces were wings and the other piece was the same size as the wings. Very disappointed and the gravy didn't taste right either, I used to work down the street and went to KFC quite a lot when Elaine was there and she, and didn't play favourites and had a smile for everyone. We won't be going again as it was total rubbish , someone needs to oversee what the hell as happened, god help visitors to Buxton .

Went in at 1.59pm today to buy a £1.99 fill up, this was the conversation. can I have the £1.99 fill up please Staff: No Why not Staff: the offer has finished It is advertised on the website Staff: Well its wrong its ended i was so incensed i actually said no need for the attitude. he was rude and was just turning up with no attempt at customer service, there is clearly a lack of management /direction and someone who wants to make a difference. i bought the £3.99 value Mega Box, i threw half it away the chips were soggy and the chicken was dry. Sat in for a 3 piece chicken meal. 3 tasty pieces of chicken in the KFC breadcrumb, nice chips and great chicken gravy. Good service.

Dont travel any distance it seems to open and close when they feel like it.More often than not its shut with a excuse on the door no staff or no chicken or electrical fault etc etc

No fries theses chips tasted awful very greasy and soggy all the family would not eat them had to wait 25 minutes for a crap meal why did I bother??

This will never change until it has some proper organising. Management seriously need to sort this out. My order is never right . I only go for the sake of the kids. Staff never seem to have a clue. Take out is always cold and never the right order. Fed up of disappointed kids when we get food from here as always missing items or the wrong item.to be honest o don’t know how it keeps going.

A 15 minute wait in a queue to be greeted by a grumpy staff member only to have to wait a further 10 minutes for the food waste of time it was hardly busy....

Restaurant dirty tables covered with rubbish long wait for food and there was only 3 people in que .food tepid at best don't take away unless u like it cold, staff slow uninterested 1 on till rest hiding at the back food order wrong items missing binns full and the free WiFi is a joke you have to wait till you have ordered your food to get a code 40 min wait then.1 problem no tickets no WiFi suppose its one way to stop filling in online reviews 0/10 just don't go, try any other foodoutlet needs proper staff to run it who know what they are doing .just avoid

The restaurant was moderately busy upon our arrival. On entering the restaurant I made my way to the Men's toilet to wash my hands and noticed that the urinal was full of urine and did not appear to be draining properly.

As KFC its a good KFC. The food is always cooked well and the staff are always nice to talk to. The only problem is they dont always have enough staff on. the wait can be ages because they only have one person on the till. I don't know if this is a management decision or if they cant get the staff to stay but it takes way to long to get the food. especially if you only have an hour for food.

Went here for an easy tea after a busy days exploring, the slowest service ever and they didn't have most of the things we asked for. Never again!

Was waiting in the cue to order for 15 minutes then got served and they’d ran out of tango, cups and napkins. Then after we eventually got served didn’t get our food for 45 minutes when we’d only ordered a chicken burger and a lunchbox!! And they’d forgot one of the chicken peices and the chips! Absolutely horrendous do not go here

This is a KFC and we all know KFC food. Great chicken and burgers. This Buxton KFC is like any other though the workers are slow to serve and slow to clean up. They have had problems with supply lately and not many items on the menu but this has been a uk wide kfc problem and not unique to Buxton KFC.

This is not the best KFC. Often they don't have most of the things on the menu available. It is not the cleanest either. On a good day though it is OK. Serving time takes forever

Nice KFC and not much different than any other. Fillet tower burger for the win. I am unsure why the bad reviews but KFC is KFC.

I wish this was not our local KFC. The local council and shops for many years have blocked a local McDonalds setting up meaning the closest to Buxton is Macclesfield. When we were told a few years back that we would be getting a KFC we were very pleased. sadly this is the worst KFC we have ever been to and as KFC fans we still persevere and visit often. It is in a good location on Spring Gardens in the town centre. Food is often served badly with orders wrongs and crazy cuing times. One grumpy person serving at a time usually. You can have only one or two people in front of you in the cue but still be waiting a decade to be serve. Cleanliness issues also need addressing. The KFC head office need to have a look at this branch as it needs a lot of help getting up to normal KFC standards.

Didn't order in the end, changed our mind by the time it was our turn to order. People that did order seemed to be waiting for ages. The worker taking orders seemed to be covering a range of areas. (taking orders, frying, serving drinks, etc.) It seemed like two people went behind the service area (not in uniform but possibly worked there and were on break.)Not sure but they definitely were not helping. Food could possibly have been great as we love KFC but we decided to go elsewhere. Place looked very clean. Possibly a one off and bad timing on our part.

Visited on a Friday afternoon and there was food on the floor , on the tables . Staff were in another world . I don’t think there was a manager on , it was a mess .

I have read some of these reviews and it really is time that some people became part of the real world. Who hasnt seen a non flushed toilet? (picture) Flush it. How can the food be any different to the other thousands of KFC meals - it isnt - they are all the same! The place is as clean as possible - it is off a main street and people walk on floors. The place today was very clean very crisp very neat and tidy. The food was absolutely to KFC specification - the coffee was identical to all the others and best of all the 2 staff I met were brilliant and some of the most friendly staff I have ever met. Get real. This is not a 5 star top class restaurant and you dont pay for that either - it is CHEAP.

Compared to other KFCs we have visited this one is not one of the best re food but it is one of the best re staff ie Alex. He was polite and friendly under the pressure of serving on his own with a large queue building up. The food let it down as it wasn't very hot and it was greasy. The shop was spotlessly clean and well presented. The management must take some responsibility for the lack of staff and the lack of skills re the "frier". (is that a word ) ?

Just been to the restaurant this evening. We are visiting from Southport. The place was spotless. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the food was very fresh and hot. One of the best we have been to.

Visited this restaurant a few times hoping that it would improve but hasn’t! Service was slow on each visit. Fast food... NOT! I was in there for nearly half an hour (take out) until I got my food. Last time was more like 45 minutes as they didn’t have any chicken!!!! No chicken in KFC!!! On this latest visit, whilst I was in the queue I made a list of all the things they were telling other customers they didn’t have which meant we kept changing our order. The list included bacon, tango, hot wings, carrier bags!!! And they also weren’t doing the coffee and cake deal (see pic) along with this a war seemed to be waging in the back between a filthy young girl who was being extremely rude to her manager and was constantly gobbing off. I think this place needs to close, clean up, ensure the manager can control the staff or sack those who chose to act not accordingly, place a ruddy big order and then try again. It’s early on a Friday evening, god help them trying to get through the weekend!

Arrived 1125 spotlessly clean staff from Manager down FANTASTIC sorted our order to what we wanted if there are problems with anything TELL THE STAFF don't moan on here about it!!! We travel 100 mile round trip to Buxton n KFC Love it.. do it 6 times a year WELL DONE KFC

As a tourist I'd never been in here so wasn't forewarned.

We were camping in Derbyshire last weekend, and after a fun packed day we were just too tired to cook dinner on Saturday night, so we opted for the easy option, a take~out KFC to enjoy in our tent. The pleasant young girl at the till took our order of a 8 piece boneless dipping bucket with corn and gravy as our 2 sides fine, the Mrs (as they do!) even double checked with her that we would have dips, "Yes you will" she was told. We had to wait a good 10~15 minutes for it to be cooked, normally this would disgruntle us, but on this occasion we didn't mind as that would mean the food would still be hot enough to enjoy on arrival back at our tent. Hungrily we opened the bag to find to our dismay they had given us 2 corn and no gravy, but what was worse was there were no dips in a dipping meal!!! The food was well cooked and was very tasty, but we just wish the dips and gravy had been put in there as they would have complimented our meal nicely!

This has got to be the worst KFC in the whole world! The slowest service possible, we have been here several times hoping each time it would it improve but it never does, we will not go back again. The place is understaffed constantly, if there are more than 3 people in the queue you know it will be about 15-20 minutes to be served, there is always rubbish everywhere, on the tables and floors and the bins are overflowing. There is never enough food cooked which means an even longer wait. Only gave 1 star rating as there was no option for a minus 1

Dirty and the worst customer experience ever! No enthusiasim from any of the staff, you have to wait while your order is cooked almost. On getting back to my accommodation, no sauces and no seasoning provided even though it was requested. AVIOD AT ALL COST

Arrived at 1105 just opened.. Great welcome as always... very pleasant staff from Manager downwards.... ordered the 8 piece boneless meal with all the sides... Arrived within 10 mins and WAS PIPING HOT...we travel from 80 miles for a meal here and a wander around Buxton... deffo recommend this KFC

I am local to the area and am always having problems with my local KFC.Yet again I was waiting outside with my two impatient daughters who were hungry. They again opened 30 minutes late. The manager strolled to the door and while he was doing so I tapped my watch through the window (he just shrugged his shoulders and scowled- description of manager-he had glasses and a slight scar on his face) I walked into the store and no apology. The lady that greeted me was pleasant but another 20 minutes for food (and I was first in, with 5 behind me) Literally the worst KFC I've been too and been to a lot as enjoy the food

Fast failure, I said I'd never return to this place, I let myself down. But not as much as these guys let the KFC brand down, each and every time I have been they've forgotten something, the chips are terrible and nobody cares.

Always something missing from our order, however the manager is very nice and helpful , we have had some good meals and some bad ones here.

This is by far and away the slowest fast food restaurant in the United Kingdom, they really have it down to a fine art. If you can find one slower then let me know because I don't think its possible.Today we had a 17 minute wait in the queue (about par for the course) with the obligatory one member of staff on serving detail (understandable really because it was only 12.45pm, not a busy time for a fast food restaurant). When finally the miracle of finally being served did occur we were told there was no chicken (understandable really because it's not really something the store specialises in) effecting a further 25 minute wait.On enquiry we were told that the reason for this was that the delivery had just arrived, which is strange because the last time we went in the delivery had just arrived and the time before that (a cynical person might feel that they were being lied to)So a 42 minute wait for fast food. But these guys are more than capable of smashing the hour barrier. This was one of their quicker turn around times.Is this acceptable customer service on a regular basis, I will leave you, the avid reader, to answer that one yourselves

I went to KFC at 12:30 in the afternoon on Wednesday the 28th of December, the lady behind the counter, who always serves me a twisted meal is superb, she works tirelessly and always has a Smile and a chirpy disposition , the same cannot be said for the manager or whomever is sitting in the office... on the day of my visit at peak dinner time and a long queue, the lady was working tirelessly as always and I happened to spy that the manager was sat it in the office twirling with a pen talking on the phone and joking heartadly to the caller on the other end..now after being in the hotel industry for almost 17 years, I can tell you any manager who decides that the appropriate time to conduct affairs of this nature at peak trading time is a waste of time. These should be conducted before or after the lunch time rush. The poor Lady was alone and obviously stressed, in circumstances such as these employees walk out and with good reason, The only time the manager did appear was to pick up a tray and twirl it on his finger, I feel sorry for the lady who is a credit to your company, in my opinion she should be promoted to take the place of the idiot who is currently working with her....and why you'd only have one employee serving customers when christmas sales are on is a mystery!!!!!!!

Waited twenty mins for soggy luke warm chips and wishy washy gravy. The chips were even too bendy to dip. I am going to bar myself from here as it not worth my time.

We visited our local with the children It was 5.30 The place was empty It was dirty, food all over the floor and on tables We placed an order and were told would be 15 mins 20 mins later we were told chicken was just being done and would be another 15 The guy was v apologetic but the place was freezing so we asked for a refund The manager was there and never said a word It's clearly understaffed, prob a health hazard and just plain disgusting I won't be putting money into this place ever againRun badly I pity the staff and we weren't the only people to walk out Very dissapointed children If busy I would understand It was empty

Went here today...only 2 people in front...service was good. Food was what i ordered and fresh and hot. No complaints.

We queued behind about four people from 18.30 til 18.55 just to place food order for standard bucket feast, when waiting two people came back complaining their order was missing half its order, another couple inside then checked theirs ,this was also wrong,both take about 10mins to sort out, we placed order with sides of beans ,the assistant shouted to back only two small beans in the oven, not large,we took our food back home only to find gravy had been substituted for the missing beans, There appeared too be three back staff with black shirts and two with red shirts,counter staff, with another red shirt going outside on a break so no shortage of staff,only general disinterest on customer satisfaction,We did consider walking out but remained to see how badly our decision to visit KFC Buxton turn out!!!!!!!!!

I thought I'd pop in for a quick lunch. Arriving at 1pm it was busy and I joined the queue thinking it would move quite quickly. I was wrong. It was 1.25 before I ordered and then 10 minutes later before it was thrown towards me on a tray. I then had to go back to collect the rest of my meal which they had forgotten to put on the tray. I was expecting after waiting so long it would be hot and fresh I was disappointed. The tables were all covered with old food and nobody cleared the tables or emptied the bins which were overflowing leaving customers including myself to clear themselves a space to sit down.

Called in prior to watching a show at the opera house,I only went in because the town centre was like a ghost town and it was only 6.30pm on a Wednesday evening and nowhere else was open,but I found KFC clean and tidy,the staff polite smart and helpful and the food was served quick and tasted good, this was a cheap eat.

Went here the other day and was pleasantly surprised. There was hardly any que, Plenty of chicken. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Order was taken correctly and delivered quickly. Chips were fresh and crispy and chicken very tasty. Well done to them.

Well we visited expecting a quick lunch for one hungry daddy and 3 small kids had to que for 30 mins que was to the door poor chap was on his own the hygiene wasn't good either spilt milk shake all over floor whilst in que and bins over flowing poor experience

Seems daft but it can be very busy and the quality of the cooking varies. Usually fine but it has been a bit ify at times!

We decided on some 'fast food' on a day out.Took ages to cue and to be cooked. I know this type of food is generally greasy but this was literally dripping. The meat was rubbery. The fries were bearable. The toilet was disgusting and had run out of toilet paper. There were no baby changing facilities and there was no way I was changing my baby on that filthy floor so we went to the public toilets instead.If we return to Buxton, we will not be eating at KFC!

Must be the worst KFC ever, but to be fair we didn't dare eat the food. We waited for 15 minutes while staff chatted and ignored customers and then left. Place was filthy , staff like extras from a low budget zombie movie. Watched staff member pick up trainers from the kitchen floor then make food without washing hands. KFC close this place down, burn with fire and erase my memory for the love of chicken!!!

This kfc is the worst one in the whole country! It's never improved from the day it opened, always big queues, you know if there's 2 or 3 in front of you it's going to be at least 20-25 minutes to wait, the whole place is filthy always food all over the floor, I never use the toilets as have done before, never again! A mystery shopper from head office would have their eyes opened, they should send one in especially on Friday tea time, we will NEVER EVER use this place again.

You expect a brand like KFC to be a consistent standard and this is...poooooor ! Every time I've been (and I don't anymore...) they get something wrong. I've had food missing from my order, undercooked chicken and the best was a pot of gravy that was cold and solid... Not good, avoid.

Your usual KFC food, would of been great if not for the obvious understaffing. Huge que and one on the till two that I could see doing kitchen stuff and another ran off her feet trying to tidy tables. And the no under 18s without adults after 7pm if I remember is crazy, not all teenagers are hooligans. KFC needs to review it's staffing and entry policies

Tried here again recently. After a ten min wait with only one person in front of me I was told it would be 9 mins before any chicken pieces would be ready. Also to add insult to injury there was no lettuce !!!!!!

Once again a trip to KFC in Buxton means getting home and discovering you haven't got what you've ordered. Service is so poor here it's a joke.

Not bad,not great.You know what you're going to get.Quite slow service and a bland soulless restaurant make it unremarkable.

One girl serving, four men doing very little. Only two in the queue initially, 35 minute wait for a bucket and extra wings. Asked to sit and wait. The floor was literally piled high with mainly chips, but other delights were available for any not-to-decerning rodents. Groups of teenagers came and sat, shouted at each other, swore a lot - but didn't eat (I guess they knew about the wait). Pleasant moan to other unfortunates, including a couple who had waited longer than me - I genuinely felt very sorry for them as they were 'dining' in. In short, the place is filthy, male staff are idle, the wait is horrendous, they are invaided by non eating unruly teens that swear a lot, but the young lady worked hard and was apologetic even though I doubt it was her fault and the food is fine. The last two points don't really warrant the one star - I would give zero if I could. A thoroughly miserable trip, just fortunate I didn't have my young son with me. I wonder if a franchise can be terminated? ??

Lives up to the usual high KFC standard. Always clean and tidy. Service is slow at times, they don`t seem to have enough staff sometimes.

Went here this lunchtime as just needed a speedy snack. Had to wait along time even though no queue. Was told they had no mini fillets and no lettuce. I said I just have some chips. I was given chips that looked like they'd been hanging around all day. I asked for fresh and was told would take another extra three mins. I took the available chips but they were cold, soggy, tasteless and disgusting. I have completed the on line survey but it still do-sent get any better. Easier just to avoid.

After looking forward to a KFC treat, ended the experience shocked at the slovenly cleanliness standard and very long wait for lukewarm food that didn't even come packaged up - they gave us the food loose on a tray and brought the packaging to our table after!!The floor, in fact, everything was absolutely filthy - from the tables to the toilets - the urinal had puke in it and there was litter everywhere you looked. Never again. Don't go unless you are testing your immunisations.

I visit this KFC alot, with my family mostly and sometimes alone. The food is always great, probably the best KFC i've been to food wise and I've been to a lot of them!! The hot wings are dynamite. Sometimes you have to wait for a bit, 10 mins max for me at peak periods and sometimes you may have to wait for certain styles of chicken but it's not the end of the world! Staff are always polite and knowledgeable about the menu and how to make your meal cheaper and Marcus knows his stuff. Top fella. Love the place.

I don't do reviews, but feel that this branch is so terrible, it must be expressed in writing. Always thought what a bonus a KFC would be in Buxton as we don't have much else, however, after approximately 20 visits to this store I do not believe there is anywhere worse. I can only imagine that the so called 'manager' with the black, greasy hair and cap deserves to be fired. There is either a ten minute wait for chicken (although, what else do they serve?) or something appears to be missing once you return home with your purchases. The general environment is filthy, both in front and behind the counter, and the staff all seem to be utterly useless. Occasionally, a sufficient member of staff appears, but only seems to last two weeks, possibly as they do not fit in with the other workers. I shall reiterate, sack the manager and reinstall the good name of KFC - what the hell has gone wrong?

I was in this store earlier today, I was the only customer at the counter with approximately 5 staff, after 5 mins waiting to be served I left the store and went to Southern fried chicken down the road!!!!!! Not a happy bunny but sfc was lovely!!!!

The food is never up to a good quality and the floor is dirty and tables hardly ever being cleared of rubbish. The staff are often miserable and it is not enjoyable to eat here.

Went here today and even though the place was empty I had to wait five minutes for my chicken. Also there was a sign on the door saying they were understaffed and be considerate. A separate sign said they were only opening 12 til 9. How can this happen with such a famous chain. My food was hot and tasty when I got it. I think this franchise definitely needs looking into and sorting out before everyone just stops going. Not quick at all.

Very slow service, not fast food at all. It's okay for a takeaway (if you want to wait) but the place itself is very untidy, always dirty tables and rubbish on the tables

Why oh why would they not cook more chicken at main meal times?????? I Was told they only cook a set amount of portions per hour!!!! So if 3 people come In wanting family sized buckets the 2nd customer has to wait 20mins.... 'Fast food' hello!!!! The place is dirty and under staffed leaving Queing times horrendous!!! Absolutely disgusting, looked like it hadn't been cleaned at all that day. Rubbish pilled high from other customers on the tables. Floor filthy, greasy and lumps of food everywhere. Highchairs an absolute disgrace had to clean one myself before putting my toddler in. No ice cream or shakes available. This kfc looks like it has slipped through the net, needs a bit of a Tlc.

Sorry I feel compelled to review again. My last four visits have been disappointing, On two occasions no chicken gravy, third occasion they had no lettuce and then today my wrap had been made with a cut in half wrap, thus it couldn't be folded and all the filling was falling out of the bottom. Also I had to ask for my drink to be topped up as it was only 3/4 full. It is such as shame as the staff are very friendly and helpful. I filled out the on-line questionnaire with my comments and will keep you posted !!!

Went to the Buxton branch with my wife and daughter and Ellis our grandson , place dirty, cold and full of teenagers running around shouting and not eating or drinking as far as I could see. Staff no control over anyone , and had to wait 30 mins to get served , but best of all was when I walked to the counter after waiting 30 minutes she looked over my shoulder and shouted "next" as if I wasn't there . Will never go back there , it's just a shame there's no McDonalds in Buxton Steve

The worst KFC ever long waiting time they run out of everything from gravy to coke and even chicken the staff are so slow its painful i dont know anyone who has a good word !! this KFC is the biggest joke !!!!

If you enjoy standing in long ques and being served by disinterested staff this is the place for you. If you value your sanity don't go

Staff are very friendly and always happy to help. It does seem a shame that they are understaffed. I agree that there is always a long wait and often dirty tables. Also items not available normally due to technical or mechanical issues. Maybe a whole new refurb would be an idea.

Put me off KFC for life. Staff here are rude or dont know what they are doing. i could cook and eat something faster at home. they never have chicken available or ice creams. i watched a member off staff wipe the bin, then a tray THEN A TABLE with the same cloth. i gagged and left. NEVER EVER AGAIN

Frankly, this KFC DISGUSTS ME. The service was god awful and extremely unprofessional. The woman serving me made me feel repulsed with her fake tan and fake personality and the kitchen behind was disgusting. Flys infested the walls and all over the bins ONLY METRES FROM THE CHICKEN. Also the atmosphere inside this place was steamed and reminded me of auschwitz deathCamp. For the love of bacon, close this bloody place down before somebody dies!!!!!!

Often run out of chicken, never have ice creams available, and rude staff that clearly dislike their jobs!! Buxton is in dire needs for a McDonalds!!!!

It took a very long time to get served and whilst waiting my wife took our grandaughter to the toilets to change her. The baby change table had been snapped off leaving nowhere to change the nappies , the staff did come and mop the floor for us, but stated there are no immediate plans to replace the changing table. Best avoid this restaurant if you have any child who might need changing.

Food is typical KFC but frankly it would be quicker to rear, kill, pluck, cut up, season and fry your own chicken than have it here. Staff are disorganised, slow and sullen which simply adds to joy of waiting. I won't hurry here in future; there are plenty of others selling fried chicken in Buxton.

I have been to this KFC a number of times and no matter what time of day it is it always takes a long time to get served. I have walked out twice after waiting over 20 mins and also not even gone in at least 5 times because if I see a queue of over 2 to 3 people I don't bother.The franchise owners of this KFC obviously don't care as the numerous negative comments on trip adviser and also the face to face complaints to the duty manager by me and lots of other people have resulted in no improvements whatsoever .I bet KFC in USA and the original people who set up this great food concept would be horrified if they could see this franchise in operation on Buxton !

Overall the only fault I could find is the waiting time as there is usually only one person left on the till during busy hours but aside from this, I find the employees both helpful and very kind. The food was just as good or better than other branches I've been to and while the menu is quite small, it's understandable for a big name branch in a small town. Overall I have enjoyed it and will return in the future. I do believe it has been judged a little too harshly and the negative opinions are overexaggerated.

From time to time I see if this KFC has improved and always set myself up for disappointment. They do have a wide variety of staff that seem to be different each time I go. It's a shame the range of food is not so wide - barbecue burgers are usually not available as well as several other items off the menu. They will cook fresh occasionally - but usually it's none available.There generally seems to be 3 or 4 staff working behind the scenes to keep the one member of staff that is actually serving / making up the meals / cleaning the restaurant / apologising for the wait in food going. Maybe the balance is not quite right.The food is generally as good as any other KFC if and when you get it, but I'm amazed it has stayed open as long as it has. A Burger King would quickly see its demise.

I came here a few months ago on a Sunday about 1pm to be told there is no popcorn chicken left, therefore we had to change our order which cost more, then came here again today about the same time to be told the new chicken dippers were already sold out which is crazy as it hadn't been open for long. Also the service was very slow.
