The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving American food

Firstly can I say that I was really excited about this venue opening and I really want it to succeed. We went to one of the “soft” opening nights which had a number of glitches including a wait of over 2 hours for food but we put it down to teething problems and assumed there would be improvement. We wanted to return but none of the performers appealed until we saw that James Morton was appearing on Saturday evening. We arrived at 7.30 it was then a 20 minute wait until a waitress appeared, we ordered drinks which arrived and then we ordered food and water, the starter came reasonably promptly but the water never appeared. When the starter plate was collected we ordered more drinks, a gin and a GLASS of wine, a few minutes later a BOTTLE of wine was brought to the table and no gin, we decided to keep the bottle of wine but had to remind a different server about the gin. Meanwhile the excellent James Morton had completed his first set of the evening. Then the original server asked us if we had our starters which had arrived and been eaten, at this point alarm bells were seriously ringing. 2 tables who arrived much later than us received their mains at that point we felt we had to ask if ours would be much longer, (along with a few other nearby tables) we were told that they would check but no one got back to us but they arrived at 9.40, 2 hours and 10 minutes after arrival. So, basically nothing had improved since the “soft” opening a few months ago, the attention to detail from the waiting staff is very poor, the food is ok, but expensive, wife’s chicken was overcooked. So after a quite eventful evening the icing on the cake was about to unfold. James Morton had just started his second set when an altercation between him and the security guy led to James refusing to play on, a situation that could and should have been handled better and could have been easily avoided. Apologies for the lengthy review but hopefully you’ll agree that a lot happened on our visit. Message to the owners, improvements need implementing rapidly.

The place was nice enough and the food was ok. It didn't really feel like the staff member wanted to be there and it was dark. The fries were a little lacklustre. It was ok, but we probably wouldn't come back

Sadly, this place has gone rapidly downhill since new ownership. Orders placed on Friday and Saturday….2.5 hours later and constant phone calls….no delivery. When I eventually got through, was told the driver had a problem with his steering wheel! Been a loyal customer for over 5 years. Contact me again guys when competent individuals have taken over the ownership and day to day management. Its not worth placing an order till then.

Not your usual Statbucks! Staff greet you in such a warm and cheerful way, it does make your day. Special mention to Honey whose smile is contagious. Coffees are also spot on, made as you wished. Most Starbucks in London should learn from them!

Absolutely disgusting handling of food and the staff make fun of their customers in the back as you can hear them... the boss refused to pay his staff when they left due to having crazy people work for him with no back ground checks and pays extremely low wages to any one that's foolish enough to work for him. Reporting business for many reasons due to the nature of how the business is run and respect towards customers. Also write their own reviews so...

La comida era muy buena y puedo decir que está muy bien cocinado y cuidado. Había cargado papas fritas y 4 alitas de Texas. Mis amigos tienen costillas cortas (muy recomendable) , bollo brisket . El lugar no era muy agradable y tuvimos que comer en las mesas al aire libre en temporada de invierno. Probablemente es mejor si vas a recoger con tu coche o pedir comida para llevar. El personal era amable y acogedor.

Nipped in here for one, very impressed with overall cleanliness and décor, good beer selection, snap looked good but did not eat myself, very smart and well - maintained toilets which are a pretty good indicator of what the place is like I think, strongly recommended.

I've been here a few times and ALWAYS feel welcomed. This is clearly a very inclusive little place with a mixture of young and old customers. Their shakes are amazing. My son always chooses the children's strawberry shake but I suspect he's after the teeny marshmallows that top it more than the milk. My very adventurous boyfriend has a different shake each visit. One thing I will mention is I very nervously took my baby daughter here and wanted to BF her. I felt so comfortable with nods of encouragment from the lady manager. I have and will continue to recommend this wonderful place.

I booked the backstreet diner very last minute due to a cancellation. They were amazing contacting me to make sure they are prepared for the party. They arrived before the guests came and set up and it looked amazing. The food was incredible and everybody loved them. Ben and the team was so friendly I couldn’t ask for better service. Would definitely book again.

I’ve been coming here since late 2022 and it never fails to satisfy me. 10 points across the board! This is an amazing place to grab something to eat.

Hannah and her team were excellent both during planning meetings and on the day. Lovely room. Allowed us to use own room decorator. Food simple but good and well presented. House wine choice is fine. The evening dj was excellent and his range of music suited everyone. Bar prices are a little steep for a private club but if you join as a social member you get 20% discount. Overall a memorable day

Soy un ventilador enorme de todos los comerciantes y foodPark comida de la calle alrededor de Cambridge. Después de visitar eventos foodpark muchas veces nunca estoy decepcionado con la cola y la calidad de la comida increíble y bebidas. El mercado nocturno está en una ubicación estupenda, fácil de llegar y crea un fantástico ambiente relajado - llueva o truene. Siempre hay muchas variedades de comida creativa y camionetas, con algo para todo el mundo, y aún tengo que encontrar uno que no me gusta! No tengo ningún problema en absoluto con colas y esperando cuando todo está recién preparado (en una furgoneta no menos! Como delicioso como) y lo es! Mi otra mitad y yo tuvimos un tiempo estupendo aquí encontrarse con amigos y disfrutar de una noche llena de comida, bebida y diversión. Mantener los mercados de noche y increíble trabajo equipo foodPark! :)

just popped in today for 1st time. the women are lovely and friendly and the breakfasts are amazing definatly pop in again.

I MISS ROCKERFELLAS! Sadly this diner has now closed which me and my partner are devastated about. It was really amazing here with a 50s 60s 70s theme throughout. It played songs from them days too. I have never really been a fan of them particular eras but I always enjoyed visiting here. The people were friendly, the food was delicious (especially the onion rings) and sitting in there was uplifting. We never really got a reason for its closure so if anyone could let me know I'd be a lot more satisfied until then I will be forever sad at knowing it doesn't exist anymore. :(
