The best restaurants in Carmarthen Town North Carmarthenshire West Wales

I have had the same meal every lunch time and evening for four months. I am vegetarian, allergic to quorn, and cannot tolerate spice. Going to the canteen though are many more options available, the food is nicer and hot. Why is this not available as an inpatient. I’ve lost 4kg in weight so far down to the restricted inpatient menu.

The restaurant was cold, we sat the entire time in our coats. We had to wait over an hour for our mains. The vegetables were almost raw not al dente. The gravy my husband had was a tiny amount. However, the staff were all lovely and attentive despite being very busy. They explained that the veg is already cooked and just needed reheating at the restaurant. That's why I chose not to have more veg when offered.

Have to confess this is the first time I've had a pizza express pizza, we usually have chicken wings, calamari etc. However, the sloppy giuseppe and the bbq burnt end pizzas we had tonight were stunning. Knocks spots off dominoes, usa pizza etc

The atmosphere is lovely, feels like a nice and comfortable place to have your coffee/snacks. There is an upstairs also, which many don’t seem aware of as it’s always empty up there. I like the feel, love the selection of snacks eg pastries/chocolate treats. So it’s worth a visit. However, the staff are not great. They are quite rude and short tempered. The person I met for coffee there came back from the counter saying he would never come back as they had experienced the rudest service. I had already had a mistake in my order happen, and when I went back up to explain this I was met with a half hearted attitude, when I seemed surprised at this there was a clear passive aggressive quick change in attitude. But I didn’t do anything further, I just accepted the mistake because i didn’t want the fuss. I must add the crockery isn’t as clean as it could be either. All this aside, if you take the staff out of the equation, it’s a great place feel, nice location, great deco, great tasting drinks and snacks

Stopped off here for lunch with my elderly mum and was pleasantly surprised. Whilst the seating was adequate the staff were very friendly and cleared vacated tables promptly. The drinks and food menu’s had plenty of choice and I decided to have the jacket potato with chicken curry which came with a salad garnish. The portion was great and the chicken curry was delicious…mum had a toasted sandwich which came with a small salad, coleslaw and some crisps. Both very reasonably priced and would not hesitate to recommend if you are looking for a lunch time bite. We will return.

We visited as a group of friends today and everything was just spot on. Food was lovely and hot, salad bar was amazing and staff were friendly and helpful. Big shout out to our server Harry who looked after us very well indeed.

We had a delicious meal from the lunch menu which is great value. One of the best salads I've had in a long time and made extra delicious with the garlic bread from the starter menu. My daughter loved her food from the child's menu which was great value. Glad we booked as it was busy but all the staff were working hard and so accommodating. We will definitely return! Highly recommended.

The most dreadful cappuccino I have ever had. Bitter tasting. Completely vile. I'd never touch another Costa again, only I know there are better branches about.
