Frankie & Benny's in Carmarthenshire

We had a delicious meal from the lunch menu which is great value. One of the best salads I've had in a long time and made extra delicious with the garlic bread from the starter menu. My daughter loved her food from the child's menu which was great value. Glad we booked as it was busy but all the staff were working hard and so accommodating. We will definitely return! Highly recommended.

The welcome when we arrived was warm, and the drinks service was prompt. Thereafter things took a turn for the worse. We watched as others started complaining to staff, who in turn lost their confidence, and ended up being surly. Our party included three children, and our food wasn't served until 75 minutes after ordering. It was freshly cooked and tasty, but way, way too late.

Wasn't very happy with the food, drinks taste very off like there was a problem with the pumps, one of thr staff members was very rude, the others was very kind and helpful, they was all busy I think they needed more staff, food wasn't the best, don't think I'll be rushing back

Had a delivery off stacks last night for mine and my partners movie night. Food was amazing! I had to call up to confirm something over the phone and Zoe went above and beyond to let me know everything was exactly how I’d asked! Cannot thank the team enough. My food was amazing the brisket loaded fries are banging and my partner demolished his burger within seconds. I will be back for my carbonara 🤣

Right from the Get Go me and my 3 Girls were met with a warm and friendly welcome. We were then directed to our table we booked, luckily we did book, not surprising they were busy. My Girls were given some activity sheets and color pencils to play with whilst I could study the menu and discuss what meals we fancied. After a short while the waitress returned and asked whether we were ready to order meals and or drinks. Which thankfully we were, aided I'd say by the fact the menu was well laid out helping us to easily decide. In spite of how busy they were we didn't have a timely wait for our food and was always greeted with a smile and light conversation. After we had recieved all of our food and demolished the Deserts. Which might I add all food we had was Very Very Nice indeed, I was asked whether I would like to do a in-house review on a little device they had. I gladly accepted due to the fact of how lovely everything was. My only gripe was that the review only asked about the food we had and not to review of our overall experience Inc service, hence why I feel compelled to write this review. All staff we engaged with gave great service, which they really did but I must particularly give a mention to a lady named Katie who went the extra mile for us, always ensuring our satisfaction with everything, providing friendly conversation with Me and My Girls, Topping up the Deserts after offering to replace one that my eldest managed to tip it on herself and engaging with a warm, respectful attitude. We will definitely definitely return. Thank you so much

Delightful friendly Katie served us two works-of-art cocktails - a Kiwi Collins, and Espresso Martini (and for me, the driver, a decent coffee ).

We visited this restaurant again very hungry after a family swim in the leisure centre. Again we were not disappointed and left with full bellies and happy faces. Our daughter loves the fish goujons on the small bites menu; they are tasty and seem good quality. The pizza is now back to its best too and the side salad - so crisp and fresh. We will be back!

Great Food, excellent service and really good value for money, there was a nice atmosphere as well so all in all a 5 star experience

Me and a few friends gathered for an evening meal here last Saturday. We recieved a warm welcome from an outgoing and positive waitress. The food was presented and cooked to perfection. Couldn’t fault it. Service was second to none. Would highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic meal here as an Easter holiday treat. My partner raved about the carbonara as the best one he'd ever tasted. My wrap was full of chicken and flavour and my daughter enjoyed her fish goujons. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The lunch deal is great value. We will definitely visit again.

Had lovely food. The lasagne was fabulous it was a shame I was unable to finish it. The waitress we had deserves a pay rise. She was doing everything on her own. Also noticed the bloke in the kitchen on his own. We take our hats off to them both. Thank you both.

Went for breakfast as family with our 2 young children the portion sizes have dramatically reduced and prices have increased we ordered 2 adult beef brisket hash was very small with a very small amount of beef but a lot of onion to try to cover this. The child's breakfast was tiny 1 very small sausage 1 small piece of bacon and small amount of beans. We all left feeling hungry and ripped off. Frankie and bennies used to be value for money but is now a rip off.

Went there for food today, pleasantly surprised at the lunch time portions. Very filling & very delicious. Also got a few starter options for sharing but at £6+ each for the tear & share bread & 4 small mac & cheese bits. We thought that was quite expensive for what it was. The service was brilliant! Would definitely come here again!

Great service on Saturday. When our waitress Jordan came to our table she mentioned there was two large tables in and there food had already gone to the kitchen so there would be a wait and asked if we where ok with that. Due to the fact she let us know we where more than happy to wait. When we did get our food it was delicious and hot. Both my children ate all there food which was surprising for me as they don’t normally and they also enjoyed there chocolate brownie deserts. Thank you Jordan and thank you Frankie’s for the lovely meal.

We visited as a family with a young and busy child after booking online. The table was all ready for us on arrival .The staff couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. The three of us loved the food. It came quickly and the free crayons helped keep our little one amused during this time. We agreed that it is the tastiest and best meal we have had for some time. We went to this restaurant on a Saturday lunchtime. The staff were fantastic and very helpful. Our server Richard was friendly, efficient and absolutely amazing. Thought we would support our local frankie & benny’s on its first day back in business wish we hadn’t bothered now we were a table of six when our food arrived one pizza was late two of the party ordered chicken burgers and One ordered double bacon cheese burger ate 1/3 quarters and notice blue mould on there buns Bought it to the attention of the waitress then the manageress which seemed to take forever to get back to us offer her apologies and would we like more food which I replayed no thank you and left and won’t be returning because you would think that on the first day of opening everything would be tip top

A restaurant full of families. Lots of lovely children ....... apart from one table! Three adults, I use the term loosely, and four children. They spoilt our evening, running and shouting round and round. Sadly the manager did nothing to stop this and actively encouraged them as they seemed to be friends. Our waitress, Isabelle, was lovely as were the other members of the team.

Went to frankie and bennys a few time’s before, thought it was overpriced for What it was and food was average, but I came here after a few years and it’s really gone up in my estimates. Food was great, had the 2 courses for 10.99. Had spaghetti carbonara and cheesy garlic bread, tasted amazing and plenty of it, couldn’t eat it all and you’re even allowed boxes to take it away! The waitress was fab, very polite and smiley! Great place to go and will definitely visit again!

We took the family - from 9-year olds to 70-year olds - on Sunday for a special occasion. The service and atmosphere were fine and it undoubtedly caters for families. But the food - when, after 40 minutes wait, it arrived - was disappointing in the extreme. We had two pizzas, one of each size, but there was barely enough topping on the two of them to cover one. It was like eating a piece of (cold) bread. One of us had the chicken which was supposed to have a cheese topping - you literally could not see the cheese without a magnifying glass! I could go on. Perhaps it was just a bad day, but we would take a lot of persuading to venture into one of their restaurants again. Family occasion well and truly ruined.

Visited tonight with my family had the biggest welcome off christene. She was very cheerful and extremely patient with my undesisive children. The food was really nice and could see the kitchen members all happy and joking.

Unable to find anywhere else to feed four people at short notice, we ventured into Frankie's in Carmarthen town centre.We were greeted by an extremely friendly young lady, who showed us to our table and settled us in. When we placed our drinks order we told her it was the birthday of one of our group, she wished him happy birthday and spent a few minutes chatting with us, making us feel very welcome.Our food order taken, and the food delivered, we settled in to enjoy our meals, ( steak wraps with fries all round ).The meals were hot, well presented and big enough to satisfy a lunchtime appetite.With drinks, the total bill was less than £60.00, and included a complimentary birthday cake with candle.A really pleasant experience. We booked a table for 2pm. When we arrived we waited 15 minutes for someone to take our drinks order. We asked to place our food order at the same time as we knew what we wanted. We were told that the food we wanted (viva la vegan burger) was out of stock so we asked for 2 minutes to have a look at the menu to pick something else. Another 15 minutes went by and no one had returned so we just left. Awful service!

We had an excellent visit to Frankie and Bennys tonight. There were 8 of us in total including two 3 year olds. Our waitress, Stacey, was fabulous with the kids and made us all laugh lots she even saved the day when we initially thought there were no chocolate Brownies for dessert! Food was great and portions were big. We used a Tastecard which made it even better value for money. We'd definitely forgo back again.

I'm writing this review while I wait for my bill, so far I've been waiting 20 minutes so far. The food was poor, no flavour or taste, staff have kept us waiting, taking 15 minutes for us to order, 20+ minutes for the bill and not once has anyone checked on how the food is. We will not be coming here again! If you want poor service and disappointing food, this is the place for you. Shameful, waste of money

I came here this evening, and I can’t express how much we enjoyed. I visited with my wife and 2 children and the food and service was excellent. Food was spot on especially the cheese garlic bread and the service was exceptional. The young girl who served us was very polite and attentive even though she seemed extremely busy with all her tables, she couldn’t do enough for us! and the restaurant was packed! The other 2 staff were lovely to. Will definitely visit again!

My husband and I ate here yesterday. We had the chicken pasta dish, and a filled pasta dish. Both were decent portions, hot and very tasty. We were served by both Chloe and Christine and they couldn't have been nicer. Very friendly and polite. Overall we had a fantastic lunch date and will be back again soon. Thanks

Impromptu visit with my daughter & partner. Greeted & seated straight away. Food was ordered quite quickly & served not very long afterwards. We ordered off the lunchtime menu & had starters & a main,which we found quite cheap at 9.99 for 2 courses. Food was hot & tasty. We were served by a wonderful waitress called Christine. We have been served by her many times in the past & she always makes us feel welcome & is very attentive towards us & our needs. My 6 year old loves it when Christine is there as she always makes her giggle & smile & always gives her a cuddle before we leave. All in all a lovely family meal together made all the better by the service we received.

Over the years I’ve been in several frankie & benny’s and in this one 4-5 times over the last few years, but never again after tonight.

We have often had meals in Frankie & Benny's but in their Cardiff branch. This one is closer to home, yet we had not been in before.

Called in for lunch and this place is awful. Over priced trash. Staff were miserable, food quality is terrible cold. The air con was o cold I had to put my coat on. Staff were pointing and commenting on us because we had to wait so long for our food. All the staff walked past us when our starters were finished and all failed to remove them. I’m surprised this place is still trading . A decent response will be appreciated.

We were told it was a 50 minute wait and we given a bleeper to take round town that went off when the table was ready! Great idea. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Very clean and we loved the music. It was a bit pricey, but everything was so good we didnt mind.

Family get together, 21 people booked in advance to give the restaurant plenty of notice. Absolutely astonished at having to wait an hour for the food. At one point, the waiters seemed to be staying away from the tables out of sheer embarrassment. There was also a 20 minute gap between the arrival of the first and last meals. This was a rare gathering of 4 generations of the family, some people having driven an hour to get there. Appalling service with no attempt at an apology or explanation.

Came in for food on the evening of the 29th, was told we were gonna have a 25 minute wait, which we didn’t mind. We were actually sat at a table after about 10 minutes. I ordered a mixed grill and my partner had the meatballs. All the food was lovely, and was extremely impressed with the mixed grill! Chicken and steak cooked to perfection and was all amazing and was super full afterwards. Sent great compliments to the chef, was told it was most likely the one in the black jacket, so hats off to her! Service was also excellent, we were served by a young girl, wasn’t able to get her name, but didn’t have to wait and she was super friendly and attentive! We don’t live in Carmarthen and actually returned home later that night but we definitely recommend and will definitely return if we’re back in Carmarthen again. Thank you Frankie and bennys!

We initially wanted to go to Harvester due to our past bad experiences at Frankie and Bennys. Luckily for us Harvester was closing at 9pm which was a surprise to us so no choice but to go to Frankie and Bennys. Thank you Harvester for closing early. Aftet numerous bad experiences at F&B; at a number of branches we had no choice but to try again. The whole experience from walking in to walking out was awesome. The service and food was 1st class. All the staff were welcoming and a big thank you to Zoe for helping us with my partner's dietary requirements. Coming from a similar background, I would recommend future staff training of all F&B; should be provided by Zoe. Thank you for everything and as a result we will frequent F&B; again. We also learned some Welsh!

Food is always good and the music from yesteryear is relaxing. Big discounts to be had too with certain apps or showing my NHS payslip. Staff are great and on the ball no unnecessary hanging about. Only downfall drinks are very expensive.....

I waited 20 minutes for my drink then waited a further hour for my food. The food was lovely but took forever.

Called in for breakfast today with my husband and son breakfast was delicious our server Christine was amazing nothing is too much trouble for her and was brilliant with my son she deserves recognition and you have got a real diamond 💍 there.

Had a love my lunch on Monday. Sat on the round table looking over the square. The mushrooms were out of the world and the pizza delicious. Service and food were fantastic. The blonde waitress was brilliant considering she was on her own. Throughout our visit think we seem another member of staff twice. It got busier throughout our visit and not once did this waitress not smile, kept on top of everything.

We as a family have visited on several occasions over the last 2 years. Birthday meals special occasions and celebrations. Each visit we have been impressed with the service of the staff. One particular waitress Christine. She goes above and beyond to give a good service. Always working hard. Polite and friendly. Food is always great. One of the best places we enjoy to eat.

Having recently been diagnosed as coeliac I am always really apprehensive about eating out as some places are horrific.. but you guys were the complete opposite.. amazing! Wide range of gf options available and it made eating out feel normal for me. The food tasted amazing and couldn’t tell one bit that my pizza was gf (& the sticky toffee pudding!). All staff knew one of us was gluten free, ensured our food order was taken carefully and brought out carefully too. When i’m back in Carmarthen i’ll 100% go here from now on. Thank you :)

I visited Frankie and Bennys in Carmarthen with a gentleman that I support. We arrived shortly after 11 hoping for fish and chips but unfortunately we were informed that lunch wasn't served until 12. Our server (Stacey) made the effort to request to the chef (unfortunately I didn't catch the chef's name) of they would cook lunch slightly earlier. We ordered our food at 11:20 and it arrived within 15 minutes (dispite being told it may take longer due to prep). Our server couldn't have been more helpful and we both really appreciate the effort! On top of the amazing service we received, the food was excellent! I had a goats cheese and avocado wrap and enjoyed every bite! Thank you Stacey, you're a credit to the job!

Food is not great, stale bun on burger, veggie meal was meh. Expensive for what you get. Poor service. 4 staff members went on break at the same time so we couldn't get any service for almost an hour. Definitely would never go back. Give your money to a local business instead, you'll be promoting the local economy and getting much better food.

Had a trip to visit my stepdaughter and her boyfriend today, decided on Frankie and Benny's as there were veggie and vegan options. Absolutely lovely food and great service, bit pricey but we had the two for one offer which made it reasonably priced. Couldn't fault it and will most definitely return.

I have given this place the benefit of the doubt, but now it’s time for a very wide birth. Your very lucky to get a happy staff, there is one, wish I took her name. The service is so slow and what you get is not worth your hard earned cash. When it first opened it was a lovely experience. Music that went with the decor, staff were helpful and polite. Now your luck if you get a smile.
