Very disappointed! Service was very slow and wait for drinks order to be taken and waiting for drinks to be served . Waitress never returned to ask if you wanted an another drink ! Food was dry and no flavour

Excellent service, the staff were extremely helpful and prompt with all our orders. best staff in a restaurant by a long way. the food was epic and was more than we all anticipated. huge portions of food and all cooked perfectly, served well. will definitely go again as we had a wonderful time.

Took my children for lunch during Easter hols. Have been many times before. Despite not being busy, the service was very slow although the person who served us was lovely. It was just understaffed there. The meal my son ordered was something we have had previously but was nowhere near as good as it used to be. I had a starter of nachos as a main meal and it was cheap nachos with cheap sauces squirted over it. No jalapenos and no cheese. Definitely not how I remember the nachos from the last time I ordered them. It looks like they have cut the portion sizes and the quality of the meals - which is a shame as that’s why we loved this place. I imagine like other restaurants they are struggling and have to cut corners but their meals are nowhere near as good as they used to be. I’ve noticed quite a few bad reviews for them recently. I really hope their management is reading them and taking on board what people are saying as it would be a shame to lose this place

I’ve never written a bad review anywhere before and am usually easily pleased by food but this was just awful. Firstly, a few of us ordered starters which took 45 minutes to come. It was then an additional 45 minutes for our main meals and there was something wrong with every order. My friends all had the wrong chips, some had sweet potato when they had ordered normal etc. The sirloin steak was medium to well done when it was asked to be cooked medium rare. Half of the orders then came out and two were waiting approx ten minutes for theirs to arrive. The waitress put the food down and ran off, leaving us with no opportunity to ask for sauces and more drinks. We were all waiting for additional drinks as we had drank them all during the wait for food as well as wanting various sauces and vinegar. We couldn’t approach a single waiter/waitress as they were all running around due to what seemed to be poor staffing issues for a busy Easter bank holiday weekend. We then had to go to the bar to order more drinks and ask for sauces. No one table checked us and asked if anything was okay the entire time and then we waited half an hour for our drinks to come that we had left our meal to order at the bar. We then ordered the round of free shots… which again we had to ask for a second time after waiting an additional 20 minutes. My friends STILL hadn’t had the sauces for the meals which they needed as their burgers were 3 pieces of chicken in a dry bun with no butter, sauce or salad. Quite literally a choking hazard. We then had to ask a member of staff to come over and get the manager for us. No one came to take our plates until she came over and asked if everything was okay or if we wanted anything else. The manager came over and we explained we weren’t happy. Her response was that we “cleared everything off the plates”. Only 2 people did and everyone else left some of their food… however we had to eat what was in front of us because we couldn’t get a single persons attention to tell them it was wrong or not very nice? When we did speak to a waitress for drinks/sauce etc. we were waiting an additional amount of time and we were all STARVING at that point so unfortunately had to eat what was in front of us. She then had the waitress with her that took our orders and said that she had table checked us and everything was fine. Complete lie & very awkward. The manager walked away and said she was speaking to the staff. She never returned. We left the table and went to the bar to pay the bill to which they told us we had 20% off each meal. No apology. So so bad. Every table around us seemed to be waiting a very long time and getting agitated also. Will never be returning again.

This has been our family choice to visit when we come to see the in-laws. Kids love the mocktails and food as much as the grown ups! This time we were so so disappointed. My MIL had phoned especially to reserve a certain selection of tables mainly so that FIL could sit with his back tk the wall and hear (as it helps with his hearing aid). She was told problem. We turned up and got seated at a middle table right under a speaker by a surly’couldn’t care less’ waiter. He said they couldn’t reserve tables so was unsure why we were frustrated. He got his manager who said he didn’t have anything, but when we pointed to two empty tables for 6ppl, he said ‘theyre reserved’ to which we said I thought you couldn’t reserve tables!!! At which point he conceded so we were seated. Very unhappy start to the meal and felt like they couldn’t care less. We ordered and was told there was a 30 min wait for food. Fine. It arrived nearly 45mins later - no apology- kids were getting restless- and then they got the steaks and sides all mixed up, and took a further 5 mins to get sauces. Not enough servers and no attention to detail. Two medium rare sirloins were overdone. When mentioned, the server agreed. Spoke to manager and they couldn’t do anything. When asked if they could do something with the bill rather than send back and wait another period of time when the rest of the table were tucking in, they said they couldn’t. Shambolic. So we ate chewy steak just to salvage some of our family night out. Also kids chicken nuggets were overcooked and rock hard. McDonald’s was looking more appealing by the minute!! And the attitude of the staff when we eventually called them for more drinks was one of disgust. They literally huffed and took the order! Wow!! Once finished, we had to wave for the table to be cleared. Another long wait! Finally we ordered desserts. They weren’t able to do a plain ice cream scoop for one of our party, but they were happy to do a plain sundae with just ice cream??!!! And charge us for a sundae. Surely a sundae is a layered sundae and not what we got which was a dollop of ice cream with topping. Jeez! Talk about slapping it out and charging for it! All in all, a terrible experience. A shame as we were looking forward ti trying the Swansea one but will think twice now. Over £160 spent for 4adults and 2 kids and despite wanting to enjoy an Easter treat here we were much disappointed.

Impossible to book, they don’t answer the phone and unable to book online. When you actually decide to just drive there from Carmarthen you’re given the polar opposite of a warm welcome. The lady behind the bar is so miserable it’s actually quite worrying, it’s like you pissed her off just by putting in the effort to turn up. The staff working on 28th March were the most miserable people we’ve ever been greeted by in a restaurant. They offered us a table in an hours time but since they were so so unbelievably cold we decided to go elsewhere.

Been many times and have always liked coming to Llanelli cattle and co. My partners birthday we had a lovely meal and had just finished dessert when we were told that we had to vacate out table. We . spent £160 and only been there 2 hours and were told our table was reserved for other people. The restaurant was less than half full with many tables empty but OUR table had been reserved.. we felt under pressure to leave and rush our drinks. We weren’t told when we sat down that we had a 2 hour limit, when we asked staff if we could have our table a little longer it was a NO, when asked why of all empty tables in the building why we had to leave they just said “THIS table is reserved “ we said that we wouldn’t come again and this was met with “whatever” .. this conversation took place AFTER they took our tip. Won’t return

Oh what a shame, we've been a few times and enjoyed on all occasions but today was very different, we were sat promptly but waited 15 minutes for a waiter to come over to take a drinks and food order. Drinks didn't take to long to turn up (10 minutes) and food followed about 20 minutes later, everything was satisfactory, I couldn't say that the team were over attentive but nothing to worry about but I visited the toilet, oh dear this is the start of the down fall, dirty toilets, pooh on the wall of my cubicle, broken facilities and when you look closely the restaurant showed lots of dirt and neglect. we asked for the bill after ordering our last round of drinks and this followed 10 minutes later, we were asked how we were going to pay, once we had done this we were told we had 10 minutes to drink up and vacate the table as it was booked and they needed the table, this was a bit of a surprise considering it was empty, we questioned this with the waiter but there was no budging on their demands.. sadly we won't rush back, this place needs a good manager to sort this place out.

This was our first visit to Cattle & Co Llanelli , on arrival we were seated promptly with menus, our drinks order was taken about 10 minutes later, not sure of the wine we wanted we asked if we could taste the Merlot and were given a small glass to taste, excellent service. My sirloin steak was cooked to perfection, my wife had the two meat platter of pulled pork and brisket, again very good. The service was good, however while the restaurant was full it did feel a little cold with other diners eating with their coats on. Overall a good experience.

We came here with about a party of 15 to celebrate a birthday party. The food was absolutely amazing however the staff and service were a bit of a letdown. Even after arranging with staff beforehand to turn up about 10 minutes before everyone else to set up decorations, staff had claimed that no arrangements had been made and there was still a family at the table eating which left us waiting in reception for about 20 minutes. We were seated quickly and we ordered quickly however the wait time between ordering and receiving our food was about an hour. We ordered our starters and mains at the same time but for some reason the staff decided to bring out Half of the starters before and half of the starters with our meal? Upon receiving our food, we realised that a lot of our orders were wrong. We then discovered that the staff had mixed up our meals with another party and had given them our meals! The food was still very good and it did make up a lot for the poor service. After finishing our meal we ended up having to take lots off of our bill because of the amount of stuff the staff had forgotton and mixed up from our meal. The only good thing I can say about this is that the staff were happy to comply with our request to take some things off the bill. We were disappointed that we arrived at 6PM and left at nearly 9:30PM because of how slow food service was. Overall a good meal but the staff and service does let it down

Really good food and portions . Reason for a 4 star - seemed to be understaffed, especially on a Friday night .... so this resulted in being slow for drinks etc. BUT the staff that were there were amazing. Also it was quite cold which for an old pump house is obvious but was uncomfortable to be there. So I advise a jacket

Utterly disappointed last night by Cattle & Co Llanelli. Let me start with that we work and stay in Llanelli quite often, always our first port of call will be Cattle & Co when going out for our food in the evenings. We have been going now I'd say close to over 2 years, so quite clearly enjoy the food and service, we have even gotten to know a few of the staff over our many visits to the restaurant. If we was in Llanelli for say 5 days we more than likely would come here at least 3 of the nights. For instance this week we was there Tuesday and then went again Wednesday, well should I say we tried to go anyway... We arrived at Cattle & Co last night at about 19:45, we hadn't booked a table because when we looked online there was available tables on every time slot that went up too 20:30! So thought we would be ok (also the £10 deposit is a bit awkward on the works credit card when it comes to the receipt), the 2 of us walked in to be greeted by the guy behind the bar. Asked if we had a booking, which we replied no and was told we ain't taking walk ins tonight I'm afraid, I said ok so il go stand outside and book the table then we will be back in 5 mins, which threw him into a panic and said oh no sorry the kitchen closes at 8. I could see on the table closest to us that a table of 4 was only just ordering. So not sure why we was being turned away for. After standing around in the rain all day and a 12 hour shift, we are now scampering round trying to find a place to eat and get there in time! Last thing we needed! Fortunately we found somewhere and turned out to be a hidden gem! Also whilst eating at this other place we looked and was still able to book a table at the restaurant till 20:30! I'm not one to leave reviews, however after last night and after the amount of money our company has spent in the restaurant over the past 2 years it really left a bitter taste in my mouth. Real disappointment but must admit must say thanks for helping us find this new place. All the best

Very disappointed last night. going down hill won’t be coming again. Poor portion size compared to what it used to be, wasn’t freshly cooked, lukewarm tried to make up for it with too much dusted chips that had no taste very bland and stale onion rings.

Booked a table for 3. We were sat at a tiny table in a dark corner, just about big enough for 3. Uncomfortable metal chairs. Kept our jackets on as it was cold in there. 2 lights on the wall not working, had to move menus around to have enough light to read. Noisy, 'school canteen' atmosphere. Order for drinks and food taken quickly. People who arrived after we had ordered got their food before us. 40 minutes for our sides and we had to ask for main meals as sides were getting cold. Food was just ok, overpriced if anything. Finished our meals, nobody had been to ask if all was ok. Sat for 20 mins waiting for table to be cleared and dessert menus to be given, eventually gave up as we were fed up as we were cold and chairs really uncomfortable. We went to the bar to ask to pay as no staff came near our table. There were 4 or 5 staff hanging around the bar chatting. We mentioned that we were leaving as it was clear there would be no further courses offered. Nobody seemed interesting in apologising or offering to take a further order but they swiftly took our payment and couldn't care less. Waste of an evening and £54.

The food was OK... I expected something more beyond pub frozen quality. The staff was nice... but we found strange the need to book when the establishment wad basically empty and they sit you next to the few clients. Music stopped for a while abd wasn't played back so seeing half empty quiet is establishment no music felt a bit off. Plates lack garnishing. The experience is okay but not wow.

Lovely setting but a cold room kept coat on chicken and frozen chips not worth the money could have been at home 😞

Alway come to Cattle & Co, amazing food and very well priced. However, this time we were a little disappointed as the service was slow that’s why I give 4 stars. We waited 45/50 minutes for starters and another 60/70 minutes then for our mains. We’ve never had a problem with the services before, and when we were getting served they were amazing! Just a shame with how long we waited. Food was amazing, especially for the prices. Great drinks menu too. Would highly recommend

£51. Two adults shared a main meal one kids meal!! I didn’t even eat as my main was bland and not worth ordering a replacement. Waste of a Saturday night. Also staff did nothing to fix my crap meal. Just gave me a menu to order something else. Very disappointed. Service and quality!! Never again.

Found this place while away for the weekend. The restaurant was amazing. It was nice to see they made use of the history behind the building and incorporated it into their style of the restaurant. The food here didn't disappoint. It was amazing, and they cooked my steak to perfection. Very friendly and welcoming place and the staff were lovely. They couldn't do enough for you. Would highly recommend trying this place

Having been loads of times before I was shocked. Food was ok, but not as good as before when I've been, a member of the table had a jacket potato with their meal and it was rotten inside. The room was absolutely freezing we all sat with our coats scarves and hats on. Waitresses not helpful and ina hurry to get rid of us. Such a shame as I really used to enjoy going here.

We go there quite often because we like the place. However on 07/01/24 five of us visited the place with my disables mother in law for lunch and were offered a corner table for 4 which can't take a fifth person but were told to squeeze in despite the entire place being empty and the staff member was reluctant to give us another table even after multiple requests. We are highly disappointed with the treatment and will not visit the place again.

If you like top quality US style food then you'll love this place. The meats are amazing, as is pretty much everything else we tried. Staff are nice, great service. The restaurant can be a bit chilly depending where you sit.

Cool place, nice inside and really liked the big bald eagle on the wall! Was very busy in there, we were sat waiting for our food order to be taken, waiting quite a while and then 2 different waitresses came over just after each other to apologize, told us that it won't be long, they were just going to get the food out of a big group and then we'd be next. I don't mind waiting at all as long as we're updated which we were - good service! Food was really nice and good price for the amount of food you get :)

We had a lovely meal here to celebrate a birthday, they were accommodating when we needed to rearrange the time we had booked. It's a really beautiful venue, I love the stone walls and lights. The tree was so pretty this time of year. Seated quickly, food ordered easily with a lot to choose from. MASSIVE portions - too much for me, and I can eat! We actually took food home which we've never done before. Well priced for the amount you get, my only thing is staff didn't check on us from time the food came to the table (to check if all OK/if we wanted any more drinks etc). It wasn't too busy there. I think we were served initially by Jordan, who was great! I'd recommend coming here, lots of parking, easy to find and lovely staff. I loved the peach and raspberry lemonade 😋😋😋

Booked a table for 5, put on a table for 4, asked to move told all tables were booked. We were there just under 2 hours and only us and another group of 6 were there. The place was absolutely empty otherwise!!! Service was OK...

Went here for a meal with my son on a Sunday evening. 20% off the smokehouse menu. What a stroke of luck! Massive portions cooked beautifully, with probably the best turkey I've ever eaten

Really loved our experience here. Free parking. This is a very spacious and nicely decorated restaurant. Service was great - Soraya took great care of us and was very attentive. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot and yummy. Portions were also huge, so whilst some good options may seem quite expensive, they really make it worth it. Sauces were brought without being asked. Service charge not automatically included, which is a huge plus in my eyes. Means we can add our own tip! We came on a Friday and received a free shot for ordering a main between 5-7pm. There’s a few offers on different days like 2-4-1 cocktails.

So glad we live close! Called in for food on the off chance. Amazing venue, warm and friendly service, delicious food, huge portions and great music! I’ve a feeling that this will become a regular visit for us. I’d definitely recommend.

I want to say a huge thank you to the lovely girl who was stood at the host (Bethan) as we came in and tended to all our needs and requirements to ensure that our son was accommodated for. We explained that he has difficulties with loud noises etc and that he'll only eat his dinner plain and she ensured that the music was turned down and the chef made plain food especially. The food was great, they made our sons experience better than what it could have been and they also brought free drinks to the table for all adults. It was very busy and we were a large group, everyone was great. Thank you kindly.

Came here for a birthday lunch, to try out this local restaurant. Wow! Werbae we surprised. For the type of restaurant we were amazed by the quality of the meat, the terrific barbecue flavours, great, HOT chips and huge American sized portions. Impossible to finish...

Don’t bother making a complaint the owner Rebeeca can’t be bothered to call you back isn’t interested in listening and after numerous calls to Speak to her with the outcome of my complaint which was a cracked tooth and poor service she hasn’t called back after she promised to call within 24 hours. This restaurant is over priced rubbish food poor service and no Wonder the customer service was poor if the owner leads by example. Well done Cattle And Co you really understand the business strategy of customer retention.

Travelled 50 mins to venue....Brought out our main meals , forgot our starters, took back main meals and brought out sides, by this time i realised i made a huge mistake in coming here...You ask people to come there and spend good, hard earned money in unprecedented times but yet fail to deliver the service to match. The place, in the old pumphouse, is magnificent. The service was good but the dish didn't convince us. The mac and cheese with chicken was okay but the fries too much. The garlic bread was not very garlicky.

Atmosphere is 5 star because the building is unique on the outside with a nice walking garden type area next to it and inside it's quite spacious, with some nice art but a unified sense of decoration. They could fit more tables in but don't and it makes you feel more important. Service is 5 star as the wait was standard, they bring condiments and such and are polite, checking in without being disturbing. They didn't have to do much for my table but on another table a glass was dropped but the staff handled clean up quietly and didn't make it a scene so I think they have a good attitude and keep things chill. Food is 5 star because it's focus on smoked meat and use of a smoker makes it more unique and the meat was really tasty, with good range of sides and condiments to customise an otherwise simple meal. At first I would have said it was too expensive but the portion size is quite big. No one on my table could actually finish theirs so if we went again we would for example order the smoked meat, but instead of picking two we'd pick three, and have one order plus an empty plate to share the meal which would also make it much more affordable. If having too much is the worst thing you can say that's definitely 5 stars, would go again.

We are sitting at the venue now if any of the staff want to talk to us. My daughter has photographic evidence of her age (22yrs old) by way of her passport and she is still being refused an alcoholic drink. Pathetic attitude.

I asked for some extra maple syrup and explained to the waitress that it was because my food was bland and tasteless, and she said I would have to pay £2.50 extra for it. Another waiter came to our table to do a check back after about 20-30 minutes of us having the food. He asked if everything was okay to which I responded, “not really, we visit regularly and this food is bland and tasteless and the chips are undercooked, and I asked for extra maple syrup to try and make the food taste of something and was told it was £2.50 extra” The response I received was “okay, sorry” and he walked off. He then returned with the bill, interrupted our conversation by presenting me with a card machine (before I’d even read the bill) and said “cash or card?”. When the food was collected from our table the waitress picked up 2 basically full dishes and didn’t ask if everything was okay with the food. Will not be returning as the staff here clearly do not care.

I was sat next what I can only call pigs eating at a trough I went to the receptionist to ask to be moved, she point blank refused, saying she had no tables, I had noticed 3 × 2 seater tables when I asked, I sat back down by which time our food had arrived, it was incredibly noisy in there and was difficult to hear my partner forcing us to eat without speaking. I must say the steak was cooked perfectly for me but that where the experience ends, my chips were dry as was my partners sweet potato fries, her chicken was overcooked and dry and no sauce in the bun with it, the onion rings were ok but the frickles were soggy and sickly, on leaving I noticed the tables that were empty when I asked to be moved were still empty so I could have been moved!!! I have to say honestly I will never go there to eat ever again, I would have had a more satisfying experience at mcdonalds.

Really nice food , place itself lacks atmosphere, a few pictures on the walls would help it not got the American vibe. It's a former restaurant in possibly a listed building. However, I will definitely go back.

We visited South Wales as a holiday and I checked out local eateries and Cattle and Co was top of my list and definitely didn't disappoint. Great location and building, fantastic staff and excellent food. We visited twice in the week we was on holiday and loved it.

Lunch for two needed a wheelchair accessible venue, and this was an excellent choice

We went to Cattle and Co for my birthday and had a marvellous time. The food was delicious, price super (owing to the 2-4-1 burgers), and service great. I gave 4 stars for service rather than 5, simply because our waitress spoke so softly, it was hard to understand her. However, she was most attentive, as were the rest if the staff who served us. I would thoroughly recommend.

Amazing building with good food and portion sizes

The wait staff were OK, but the kitchen was beyond slow. It took over two hours for our meal. The wait staff could do better with informing patrons of the delays etc. Also, sons food order was wrong.

Always been a lovely place and enjoyed going. Great veggie menu!! Unfortunately, bad experiences the last few times. 1. Was given a table at the waiting area on high bar stools/tables. Very cold and was not allowed to close the door. Asked for the heated blower to be turned on and was told it had no gas. 2. Tried ringing loads of times last Sunday and no one answered. Arrived at 8pm to be told they were shut and the kitchen had closed. 11pm? Where is it stated as otherwise? 3. Tried booking for a table of 8 today to be told that the booking system was down so no clue about bookings yet keeping tables for a potential party of 28?

Really, really good food and you won't leave hungry. Georgia's service was beyond excellent. I am gluten free and nothing was too much for her and no question too silly. Spoke to my tween and teen as politely as to us adults. Highly recommend.

First Time visitors. Really hoping for ribs as a main, due to type of restaurant. My fault, should of checked. Food seemed incredibly unhealthy and all tasted the same. We will give it another go, hoping we just ordered the wrong things. Not sure how warm it will be in the winter. The atmosphere was very echoey due to the building style.
