The best restaurants in Bridgend South Wales

I booked to play on my own while on holiday in the area. The service in the Pro Shop was great but in the clubhouse it was sadly lacking, not even a “Hello”. The food was good and the views superb. For an elite club, the fact visitors have to buy course guides, etc was a bit of a surprise. I was at Royal Aberdeen two weeks ago and was given a nice valuables bag with a course guide, tees, pencil and a pitch mark repairer. It isn’t the end of the world to not have this but it would have been nice to have a memento.

I had ordered this takeaway because this town has nothing really to offer. No shops, No life. I can't even find my local waitrose i have in my hometown in England. Lovely views but the food was lovely and had lots of flavour. One problem is that i had this child come up to me and take my shoes and wallet. Never coming back. But the food was very nice XD

Super clean kitchen. Have tried several of their main courses, the food is good quality, great tasting and good size portions, they are generous with the meat in each dish

This is a first class award winning fish and chip shop. Fish / chicken nuggets cooked to order. Great selection of pies, fish, sausages, rissoles, curry etc. My great grandchildren love chips and chicken nuggets or pie or sausage form there together with a Slush Puppy. Give them a try!

Very average and overpriced ice cream. There was plenty of choice but unfortunately it was a small portion and very expensive. I'm sure there are better options!

Very good food and great value for money, get takeaways from here at least fortnightly, never been disappointed.

Real ice cream, gorgeous cakes and friendly service at a reasonable price. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to your cafe today. It was clean and presentable. Staff were helpful in giving us suggestions on what to have. I had a mint ice cream and Mum had a cake, both were really nice. The tables had enough space and were easily accessible. The cafe was not too far away from the beach, shops and sunshine. Would definitely recommend. I’ve heard there is one more local to us in Caerphilly so we’ll give that one a visit soon. I’m honestly struggling to think of anything negative to say. Five stars doesn’t seem like quite enough.

I came here last night for dinner and a tallish girl with mousy brown hair was quite rude when serving me. Not the best customer service experience.

Definitely the nicest pub I visited in Porthcawl. Traditional, not ruined, and they are clearly trying very hard to make it work. Bit of a strange ‘welcome’, maybe wary of strangers, but the overall experience made up for it. Recommended.
