Best coffee in north wales after 5 years of searching. The coffee is smooth and soft Food is top too, especially the freshly baked cakes !!

My first experience of Phoenix. This is a brilliant place, on the long Bangor High Street, but slightly hidden, being set back from the road. It has a large interior with amazing decorations. Many different styles of seating to suit different use expectations. The coffee is excellent. The food we had was very good - Farmhouse Pizza, and chicken kebab with a very tasty Turkish style mixed salad and rice. The service very friendly and the price was very reasonable, and in my view is excellent value. I saw they do a lot of Turkish style cakes and sweets - for my next visit. This is a good place to get food on Sunday when most of Bangor is closed. It is also a good place for a private chat or gathering and you do not want lots of background noise. It has high chairs and some toys for young children. I hear they hope to get a licence to sell wines and develop a more bistro style offering, which will be very welcome in Bangor.

I was just passing and really fancied churros so popped in. The churros and toffee sauce is amazing and you get loads! Will be visiting again soon. My husband had a chicken burger and salad , said it was delicious!

Visited this place last summer. Greek take on fast food, can only warmly recommend this place. Food was yummy and service kind and helpful.

We celebrated our friend's daughter birthday here and boy I am hooked! A very nice treat indeed! An asian (japanese/chinese) restaurant that is savory with a big portions. Not ur typical oily and greasy chinese food. Its very flavorful from starters to main course and 1 dish serves 2-3 persons (depends on how foodie u are😉). We we're shocked by how big 1 dish is, it's our first time and we ended up cancelling some dish. We shared and enjoyed the food like a family. Starters are amazing and we're already full by the time the mains arrived. Our server is only one person but we are impressed coz she is a multitasker, she is very buay but still never forgets to smile and communicates with the guests. Waiting time for the food is okay coz we ordered a lot. We were advised to have an advanced order coz we are a big group. Never had a chance to take a photo of the mains as we are excited to try it. I strongly recommend to try this while you are here. We are from leeds and every weekend we travel here and I cannot wait to order again, I'm craving for the chicken starter..

Acabábamos de llegar a Bangor ese día y seleccionamos este restaurante basado en las opiniones de los asesores de viaje. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos de inmediato. Había un gran grupo allí para su fiesta de Navidad que se sumó al buen ambiente. El servicio fue rápido y amable, y la comida estaba caliente y muy bien presentado. Quedamos muy impresionados con las alitas de pollo de sal y pimienta y el aromático pato crujiente. Incluso el arroz frito con huevo fue comentado como muy agradable por nuestros niños exigentes. La factura era muy razonable, y no dudaría en recomendar este restaurante - un gran comienzo de nuestra aventura Bangor!

The drinks came late. We waited 1 hour for 2 sandwiches. When the food didn't come, we left the shop. waste of time
