Blue Sky Cafe in Gwynedd

Very cool cafe and the best vegan breakfast I think I’ve ever had. The beans tasted homemade and were delicious. I would recommend this cafe highly. Good customer service as well.

We visited on recommendation, & we were not disappointed!! We wouldn’t have known this gem of a cafe/restaurant was here otherwise. Would definitely visit again if near to this area. Everything is homemade, even the brioche buns. Great find, amazing food, quirky inside, very reasonable & lovely staff. Thank you

We love Blue Sky and always try to visit when we are in the area. We had lunch here last week and it was as good as ever... Stunning food, lovely staff (special mention to our charming waitress Christina - all the staff were lovely though and the owner always takes the time to chat even though busy) and great beer and coffee. If you are thinking about going, just do it and always upgrade to the salt and pepper chips!

Slightly hard to find - due to being on a side street. There is a sign on the pedestrianised road we walked down - but we missed it and had to ask for directions. I'm so glad we did! Very warm and friendly welcome. Excellent food and choice of beers. We both had a burger and shared a large portion of salt and pepper chips. Best meal of our holiday.

Had a breakfast and coffee in the taproom here today. The Poshrooms on sourdough was fabulous as was the coffee. I did order two sausages at £1.50 /e with it but they didn't arrive so I ended up with them as a second course. It would have been nice to have had a small gesture to acknowledge this, but got an explanation at least that the sausage button wasn't pressed. It was £16 which overall for the quality was about right. Decor, dog friendly, contactless all positives. The chap running the show was great aside from his lack of ordering sausages.. but was spinning too many plates welcoming people, booking tables, taking payment, waiting on and making drinks.

I LOVE fry ups but this is the best one i’ve ever had. I will continue to go back. You don’t feel bloated after it either which is amazing. The beans are something else! And you. An tell everything is seasoned or cooked in a special way

Went in without a reservation. Chap behind the bar said that there would be a slight wait as they were busy. Found us a table, ordered our food and drinks. A bottle of water was also provided. Food came after a very small wait, I ordered the steakhouse burger and my daughter had the pork burger. Both come with chips, I upgraded to the salt and spiced chips. It was done to perfection, probably one of the best burgers that I had in many years. Prices were good, and they had an extensive range of ales and ciders, but I was driving.

My favourite thing about Blue Sky is the atmosphere of the place, really light and lovely to spend lots of time in. Great coffee, food, and drinks and events there. The staff are great, although some are young and potentially still a bit shy. I really love it here and tell everyone about it. It's the best hidden gem of Bangor and you wouldn't believe it's on the high stree.

Really disappointing visit, heavily pregnant, and got put to sit on bar stool. Finally moved, and when drinks arrived, both coffees were cold, chips arrived cold. Ordered a rice bowl and asked for salad dressing to be on the side, which they said could be done but arrived all over the food. Also asked for a jug of water three times to two members of staff who said they would get it, but it never arrived. It wasn't busy so there was no excuse for this really found the staff were too busy talking between themselves! Such a shame as I usually love it here, but will not be returning any time soon! 😭7

Really friendly staff served up a stunning full Welsh breakfast. Thick bacon, tasty sausages, homemade beans. Just yummy!! My wife had the avocado with chorizo and this was equally as good. Great little independent cafe.

This place is magical, when we walked down the alley way we could tell this was going to be great. On walking into the cafe you can’t fail to be hit by an amazing energy. Ollie who greeted us, who we thought was the owner was an amazing host, he must of owned his own cafe in the past. Nobody has this much enthusiasm unless they know how difficult it is to be a success in the hospitality industry. We ordered two Cortado coffee’s which were incredible and 2 burgers. The breakfast burger was possibly the great burger I’ve ever eaten. See you soon

We visit the Blue Sky cafe every time we come back from a holiday on Anglesey because it's so good it keeps the post holiday blues away. Without a doubt, this is one of my favourite ever food spots. Everything (and there's vegan versions of almost everything) is wonderful, particularly the burgers. Had the steakhouse with Welsh blue cheese and creamy mushrooms - best yet 😋 staff are lovely and you really need to book or be prepared to wait for a table - it's worth it 👌

What a find. Dog friendly and varied menu including loads of different drinks and gluten free. Friendly staff full of enthusiasm for what they do. Wish we lived nearer!

Great little spot, hidden up alley way I found it by accident to be honest, really nice ambience inside food was great and the staff were lovely well done!

This used to be a lovely cafe but has recently changed hands and the new owners just don’t seem to be able to run the cafe very well. On this visit, we we’re taking our young toddler for lunch as a treat. We had to wait downstairs for a long time for the waitress to find us a seat upstairs, but her computer said ‘no’ so she told us to go and ask at the counter upstairs. We did that, and after much deliberation and lots of fussing they eventually said we could sit on the table that wasn’t being used. After selecting our order I went to order at the counter, but the waitress said she would be with is shortly and after a very long wait the chef screamed in my face that it was now table service only. By the time I had returned to the table my toddler was in tears because he couldn’t understand why he wasn’t getting his lunch. Eventually after a long wait at a table, I had to flag down a waitress who told us that we could order, but it was now a cash only establishment. We only had our cards with us as we don’t like cash. This was the final straw for my little boy and we had to leave. If they had said at the beginning that they don’t take card’s anymore it would have saved a lot of trouble. They have absolutely no empathy for customers with young children, and no idea whatsoever of how to run a cafe.

What a pity we didn’t discover blue sky until end of our holiday! We booked to have breakfast, with our dog, as we travelled home after a fantastic week in the north wales sunshine, and it definitely exceeded expectations! My heuvos rancheros was absolutely delicious and my husband managed to eat most of his full cooked breakfast. Generous portions, excellent home cooked feel and great, friendly service.

Very friendly service with a cute interior. They have art done by local artists there for purchase at a reasonable price. Good for breakfast though I think lunch would be even better.

Hadn't planned to come but couldn't find where we were looking for and very pleased we did. A place with its own distinctive character, an excellent staff team, good menu and great coffee and tea options. We opted for chillie loaded fries which were not only delicious but gluten free to boot. Gluten free cake options a little more limited with the ubiquitous brownies. Had also had a cookie option which had unfortunately sold out.

Perfect venue for a works meeting or lunch with friends or family. The chicken was lovely and tender. I've been here many times over the years and I must say I'm never disappointed See you again soon

Best brunch I’ve ever had… couldn’t finish the breakfast burger, it left me defeated! Absolutely amazing flavours and menu choices, the ambiance of the place was very homely also. Such a great way to start the day.

My son recommended this cafe to us so we decided to go for lunch. We hadn't booked but luckily got a table downstairs. I'm so glad we did-the food is FABULOUS. I had Lebanese burger and my partner had belly pork pig in a barm. The salt and pepper chips are amazing. My burger came with baba ganoush which was heavenly. A great lunch washed down with beer from the taproom. Thank you so much. Friendly welcoming staff who even though busy took time to chat.

So lucky to get a table here yesterday as 'walk ins', service was quite slow but everything was well worth the wait, fabulous, tasty soup, good bread and a decent bowl of chips on the side. Loads of vegetarian and vegan choices, I know the choice is even better outside of our current circumstances too.Coffee and peppermint tea were both good and the service throughout was excellent, looking forward to another visit soon, will reserve next time.

Vegan / veggie friendly !! This place is just great. They’ve obviously done the research to find what customers want. They’ve managed to get that just right. A fab selection of beers, and also a great selection of teas/ coffees. It’s just perfect. Go for the salt & pepper chips.. you won’t be disappointed!

Me and my friends went in for some lunch (we've been a couple of times before) and it is ALWAYS amazing. The atmosphere, service and food never disappoints. A place to consider visiting if you're in Bangor!

They were very busy - ok. Had to sit in overspill area ok. Waiter did not tell us they were out of most things. Queued 25 mins upstairs to order, told our choices not available! No baby changing facilities. Also waiter asked my daughter to move, while she was nursing!! Will noy go again

Recently visited blue sky and I’ll be sure to return. The food was amazing and i enjoyed the whole experience . I recommend the chicken in a basket , it was lovely and you could tell it was fresh to order. The staff members are super friendly and happy to help. Overall was a great experience and I’ll be returning for definite!

We have been coming to Blue Sky Cafe for years. It Nevers fails to consistently deliver delicious food.My wife and I went there yesterday. I had the cauliflower pakora sandwich and my wife had the soup of the day(tomato and basil). I also had a slice of lemon and pistachio cake. Everything was delicious. You could tell it was homemade using good quality ingredients. The service, as ever was cheerful and prompt.
