My first experience of Phoenix. This is a brilliant place, on the long Bangor High Street, but slightly hidden, being set back from the road. It has a large interior with amazing decorations. Many different styles of seating to suit different use expectations. The coffee is excellent. The food we had was very good - Farmhouse Pizza, and chicken kebab with a very tasty Turkish style mixed salad and rice. The service very friendly and the price was very reasonable, and in my view is excellent value. I saw they do a lot of Turkish style cakes and sweets - for my next visit. This is a good place to get food on Sunday when most of Bangor is closed. It is also a good place for a private chat or gathering and you do not want lots of background noise. It has high chairs and some toys for young children. I hear they hope to get a licence to sell wines and develop a more bistro style offering, which will be very welcome in Bangor.

Cant believe we have never been before and will most defiantly become a regular when in Bangor! Food was beautiful quality, hot, good portion size and very reasonably priced. Lovely family run place to eat. Thanks for having us 😊

Lovely food close by to the train station. Far better then other options close by and was very friendly staff and quick service.

Service was friendly and quick. Not a lot of vegetarian options for breakfast. Coffee was pretty good. Plenty of seating and close to the train station.

This lovely cafe is not far from Lidl, tucked away down a short alley, the entrance set back from the High Street, near the junction with Farrar Rpad. The first thing that hits you when you enter is the decoration, creating an exotic environment, in a setting of low light. However, the front of the cafe has a set of full-length windows which on a nice day can be opened out. I've been here three times now and I've not been disappointed. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the place is a delight. The music lends another unique touch to the atmosphere. To top this, the food and drink is great. I've only been here for a breakfast, which is very good, but the menu looks like it can cater for much more than this. It also offers a spread breakfast, looking like it would be good to share. Last time I went, we followed our breakfast with some of their home made cakes and these were excellent. There can never be enough good food offered in ways such as this so I can highly recommend it.

The absolute best cakes I've ever tasted , they do a lovely little raspberry cake that to die for, the raspberry ripple ice cream is amazing, friendly staff, dogs allowed inside to which is a bonus for us, for me the coffee is just not hot enough but I do like my drinks boiling hot, and a larger coffee than the regular would be good too, the coffee itself it's one of the nicest I've tasted.

I've always had difficulty finding a good place for lunch (in Porthmadog) so Breaktimes (despite being on an industrial estate: glad I didn't let that put me off) was perfect: great food, friendly service, pricing good for nowadays and for the quality of the food. It's also licensed which is a real bonus after shopping in Porthmadog or coming here for a day out by train. We were also able to take our dog but I think we could only sit outside (?) so I'm glad it was a good day. Our waitress immediately brought her a bowl of water which was such a nice touch. Our food was excellent (Penang sweet potato curry for me, and a very good beefburger for husband). I've since told friends about/highly recommended Breaktimes and look forward to my next Porthmadog outing just for lunch 'out'!

This is such a great spot to grab a quick coffee whilst walking along the prom and soaking up the view. I managed to resist the cakes but they look awesome!
