The best restaurants in Bryn-crug/Llanfihangel, Llangelynin Gwynedd North Wales

The cafe staff happily accommodated our family group of 8 adults for a lunch. They kindly reserved a table for us so that we were guaranteed a space after our morning walk. The menu included all day breakfast which several of us ordered. The food was delicious and beautifully prepared, hot and fresh. There was a specials board and those meals were very good too. The cafe environment was clean, comfortable and airy. The cafe was attached to and part of the village community centre. We felt we were made very welcome and were happy to know that we were supporting the community centre. All in all a lovely experience.

We visited Ty'n y Cornel for an evening meal to celebrate my husbands birthday. Right from the moment of walking through the door it felt welcoming and staff very helpful and friendly. We were taken straight to our table and given menus which had a good variety of options. Although there was a party of 15 or more and a lot of laughter this added to the friendly atmosphere and didn't take away from how attentive the staff were. Our orders were delivered promptly even though we expected a short delay due to the party, and we were not disappointed, the starters of prawn cocktails and chicken pate were absolutely delicious. For main meal we ordered the minted lamb pie and belly pork, again cooked to absolute perfection; presentation was also really lovely. We finished off with deserts which made the whole meal one we will definately remember. We were served our meal by Lucy who was really lovely, very helpful, always smiling and absolutely nothing too much trouble. Even though the restaurant was busy Lucy looked after us like we were the only ones there. We will definately be returning and can't recommend highly enough. The staff deserve recognition for their fantastic hospitality.

Cozy welcoming pub, Great atmosphere. Great menu and tastes amazing, chicken wings, pork belly, chicken burger and gammon steaks were all very tasty, great quality of food and great portion size. Log fire is a lovely touch, owner, staff was very welcoming friendly. Would definitely recommend and will return. Thank you.

Had a vegan lasagne and salad. It was a good price, served hot. Beautiful pub, bar staff were very polite and welcoming. I'd definerlt visit again. My dog had a lovely warm greeting also

Little cafe with friendly staff. Lovely selection of cakes and pastries. No vegan options except baked beans, chips or salad. Food freshly cooked and was lovely

At the end of the Penrhyn Bar & Crill (which has plenty of outdoor seating), then Penrhyn Ice Cream Parlour has a good selection of ice creams - they even have ice cream for dogs. Covid regulations are observed; hand sanitiser is available and masks must be worn. Outside seating, at socially distanced tables, is available and, if you get tired of queuing for your ice cream, there are games machines available.

We spent a few days here as part of a special birthday celebration. Our hosts, Angela and Brian, were so friendly and considerate. They couldn't do enough for us to make our stay most memorable. The hotel was warm and cosy with a roaring g log fire. The food was delicious and of a very high standard which all added to the enjoyment of our special event. The situation of the hotel is stunning. If you want a restful and peaceful stay with excellent food and hospitality then we would certainly recommend that you visit this lovely hotel. Staff are friendly , not the best I’ve had I thought chips was ok partner said no , he liked the fish I didn’t , as I could taste cooking oil was greasy , curry sauce was ok , partner got gravy , I’m used to Scottish sauce maybe ?
