We called into the Black Lion in Aberaeron about 2:30 for some lunch. The two of us, plus our granddaughter and the dog. I asked if we were ok to bring the dog in and was told he was more that welcome. He got served before us as once we were seated they brought him a bowl of water! We ordered drinks and food. The food was exceptional. (We asked for and was given a takeaway container to take what we didn't eat home, it was that nice. We would 100% recommend going there, and will be visiting again ourselves. Very friendly and helpful staff (all three of the ones who we spoke to) 6 stars all the way as I can't give a 5 plus.

We saw them in Aberystwyth, and were very glad we stopped by. The food was really tasty and generous portions. We had lunch and then barely ate until bedtime! Very happy, will return.

Great breakfast. Lovely friendly staff. Comfortable upgraded rooms with ultra clean and comfortable bedding, towels etc. Well worth a visit. Based at Arosfa is Manuka a pop up Asian themed street food kitchen. The food is excellent with a variety of dishes using local produce, but with a difference. Adjoining photographs show loaded triple cooked fries, belly pork and chicken Korean and Malayan style dishes.

Quiet in a wet Sunday. Perfect for us for lunch. The burger was excellent. Full of flavour and cooked nicely. Chips could have been a bigger portion but good. Wife loved her veggie lasagne. Son had a good ham egg & chips. Great pint of Largo as well (sunk a couple of those the weekend before with uni friends). Great food. And some cheeky games of pool after.

We had lunch. It was nice but the staff were terribly badly dressed. Man at bar was in loudly coloured rugby shirt and person who brought the food was in too short shorts, thick, hairy legs and trainers. Please smarten yourselves up. It looked very unprofessional. Long trousers and a proper, smarter shirt or polo shirt, please. I noticed this is supposed to be 5 star. You need to maintain certain standards in all aspects.

Ate in this restaurant every evening - friendly staff and superb views over the bay added to the atmosphere. The food was good, plenty of choice from a varied menu. Excellent wine list obviously compiled by an oenophile.

Fantastic food, but the service let the whole experience down. We felt that having wait between 15 - 20 minutes for a member of the team to bother to come to our table to get menus and take our orders. We decided on deserts, however waiting a further 20 minutes for our order to be taken, we gave up and I asked for the bill, which got presented very quickly, but we waited a further 10 minutes for someone to take my payment. I decided to go to the desk and pay there, but got ignored as the receptionist and waiter were sorting out something on the computer. In the meantime another customer appeared at the reception and the waiter took their payment. I left a very good cash time, not because of the service but the very skilled kitchen team. We were in the Cwtch, so tucked away, but that is no excuse as the restaurant was not busy. Not impressed with the service. Hopefully when we return the service will have improved.
