Stunning Tearoom attached to St Asaph Cathedral. Staff are lovely and friendly, cafe is fresh, clean and well maintained. The scones are absolutely beautiful, much nicer than M&S and other cafes in the area.
Nice choice of sandwiches, toasties, home made soup and a lovely selection of teas and coffee.
Definitely the best cafe in St Asaph by far.
Regularly get takeaways from here- authentic Thai food, great vegetarian options, generous portions and they don't skimp on Tofu as some others, prices haven't increased despite rising costs- I pay around £13.50 for a Pad Thai and Green Curry which is a bargain! There is limited seating to dine in and convenient on street parking free for 60 mins. At my last visit I noticed they had applied for an alcohol licence so it won't be long before they'll be offering you a pint of Singha with your Pad Thai.
Went for dinner Saturday 19th August. Had a very warm welcome from Morgan and the two waitresses. Restaurant and bar looks great with a pleasant atmosphere. Looking at the menu there was a tasty range of dishes to choose from. I understand this changes regularly with the Chef, James, showcasing his formidable talents. I was blown away by what came out, each dish serving up a symphony of tastes and textures, my photos do not do them justice (I forgot to take picture of main- beef ragu, in my haste to get started on it). I could not fault Selar and will certainly return, hopefully not driving next time so I can sample their extensive wine list and cocktails. Exceptional value, quality and experience. I real gem for the area.
Decided to give this little place at the bottom of Denbigh a try on our usual Saturday cake and coffee venture.
Nice little place, quite unique, lots of little private rooms / areas in the cafe. Lots of interesting things on the walls.
The cakes were REALLY nice. We tried the lemon cake (packed with flavour) and a sponge cake. Recommend these.
I had a cappuccino. It was ok. Strong, nice.
Other half had a tea. Little tip for the shop. Invest in some teapots. I don’t think we’ve ever been to a cafe for a tea and been given a hot cup of water with a teabag on the side.
Served quickly, no waiting.
We visited Charlie’s Restaurant for the very first time yesterday and it certainly didn’t disappoint. As soon as I walked in I felt instantly ‘at home’ .. the beautifully designed decor was not only a feast for the eyes but felt incredibly cosy too. With it being December it was dressed for the season, with two beautiful Christmas trees adding to the festive vibe. We had Sunday lunch .. my husband and grandson had the beef and I opted for the chicken. The ‘Molly Parkin’ parsnips were absolutely gorgeous and made the perfect accompaniment to our meals .. which were all absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend this delightful little restaurant!

*BEWARE *Terrible service - two weeks in a row they canceled order 25minuets
after accepting . Poor show, and service when you’re ordering 30-60£ worth of food. Lost a good customer, will not order from here again..
Thought I'd pop in forward coffee while waiting for someone to arrive off the train, couldn't belive you charge £4.20 for a latte 😳 I'm all for supporting local businesses, but sorry that's the only £4.20 you'll get from me 👎
