Been going to Fran’s regularly for years and staff are always friendly, welcoming and a good laugh. Food and coffee always made to a high standard. Nice modern and clean dining area.

Both my husband and I visited here last weekend for the first time for breakfast - we both got the almost croissant and he got a coffee. The pastry was really good - texture and flavour was amazing. Lots of seating both indoors and out. Would definitely recommend!

We booked here for our anniversary on Friday evening & we were not disappointed. We were lucky enough to sit outside on the veranda until our booking time, The sun was shining & the views, breath taking. Both the food & service were excellent even though they were clearly short staffed. We will be returning!

For a venue bar, it's well stocked with popular options. Food is standard fare. The staff are relaxed, professional, and attentive. Even when it's busy, you don't have to wait long.

Amazing food but only take cash and wouldn't throw in a bag of prawn crackers for my little boy as I only had £1.50 cash left over and not £3......obviously not looking to keep customers.

Excellent cafe based downstairs at Bonhoga Gallery and shop. Cakes, made by young woman who runs cafe, are amazingly good and reasonably priced. Nice views of stream and countryside. Can be busy at lunch time but otherwise OK. Simple lunch menu...soup, quiche. Friendly service.

Outstanding quality of food and coffee. Proper artisan handmade products, some of the best I’ve tasted, the cookies are to die for and the owner was extremely friendly.

We came to have a dinner and instead of greetings and normal social interaction upon our arrival were met with hostility and rudeness from the waiter. When we were leaving one of the chefs flipped us off. I never experienced this kind of attitude towards customers anywhere in the world.

Un viaje de cumpleaños a Edimburgo y Eleanore y al final de la noche nos alegramos de haber elegido este pequeño lugar encantador. Es un menú fijo y estuvimos encantados de depositar nuestra confianza en las manos del chef y somelier. Una confianza que fue bien recompensada. El menú era una serie de platos pequeños que incluían: Anacardo 'faux gras', grosella roja, gelatina de jerez. Choux de bacalao ahumado, kalamansi, cebollino. Marrón de hachís, sarro de ternera, col rizada, parfait de hígado de pollo. Trucha de mar curada, rábano, furikake, dashi de jengibre, lima. Cordero, tumip, ajo negro, cime de rapa, patata. Y Naranja sanguinolenta, ruibarbo, yogur, hibisco. Siendo los últimos en pasar la noche, nos sentamos en la mesa de los chefs, y vimos cómo los platos se preparaban y enviaban desde la pequeña cocina, mientras recibíamos una gran serenata de música que descubrimos que estaba curada por uno de los empleados. Canciones que había olvidado por mucho tiempo, de las que estaba decidido a averiguar más. Así que la noche pasó volando mientras debatíamos las canciones y la comida y nos desplegamos contentos para el corto paseo de regreso a nuestro hotel. Eleanor fue golpeada palpablemente.

Venue is stunning. Super cute and cosy feel. Staff were nice, but I do feel they lacked enthusiasm and communication. We waited 20 minutes for our first 2 drinks (beer and a porn star martini) 40 minutes for our second 2 cocktails. We were given one drink free as we had waited so long. We had gone out with the intention of trying as many cocktails as we could but we felt like staff had actually forgotten about us. With only 4 tables, I find that hard to believe. When we were ordering food it all went pretty easy. The food took a respectable time to come out and it was actually pretty tasty! After our food was cleared the waitress asked if we wanted another beer over, i said yes but my friend was about to order and she walked away. We had been in the restaurant from 6-8pm had our meal and 6 drinks and generally felt a bit deflated after it. On a brighter note. When we did get the cocktails they were amazing, the place was clean and food was really nice. Just might get a takeaway instead next time.

Cant really comment on the food or staff because we only lasted 6 or 7 minutes and the whole duration of that time, a dog constantly barked for no reason with the owners acting as if nothing was happening. We could not sit through a whole breakfast listening to that.

Well from getting greeted by pleasant staff for my ride down favourite place to have my coffee and roll in slice sausage and onions this is my favourite view out to sea, a shelter would be nice in the rain but the coffee makes up for it
