Good food at a good price. Order online ahead of time (earlier in the day) and drop by to pick up. Or drop by and order and pick up. It was a pleasant surprise while in town. Places to park by pier, just pull up or walk up and order. Picture shows room to park if needed. Old cafe next door with outside sitting, didn’t look open, so could sit at tables possibly.
Absolutely loved my visit today. The coffee was fabulous. Would definitely recommend the local Cullen Skink soup and the avocado toast dish. The staff are vivacious and the atmosphere is great. Loved the outdoor seating too. Very authentic and rustic decor. Almost makes you look forward to winter when the stove may be lit too!
We called in for a bacon roll which was very tasty also choice of Pancakes available for Breakfast Menu. It also stays open at night for meals & alchohol
Driving through Kingussie and stopped for coffee. Found this cheese shop by chance. Asked the lady if she could do a take away platter for a picnic. She prepared a mixture of Scottish and French cheeses, olives, relish and crackers. Simply the most beautiful cheese flavours I have ever enjoyed. If you find yourself in this area this is a must do experience.
Mark and Lucy run a great restaurant AND hotel. Very gracious and great food. Breakfasts with the room and yummy. We also enjoyed meeting their two yellow labs.
We loved our visit to the Coffee Cart after a riverside walk. Run by a lovely, chatty lady from Lossie, the coffee was delicious. We didn't eat cake, but they looked delicious. Highly recommend.
Went for ice cream here with my son who has a nut allergy - the staff opened a new tub of my sons choice of flavour to avoid any risk of contamination. My son then dropped his ice cream and he gave us another one free of charge. AND THE ICE CREAM IS SO GOOD!! I had the Scottish Tablet flavour- yum!! Will be back next time we’re in town.. Thanks for making my son’s day!
Ate here on two occasions on me and my husband’s trip in Scotland! Once on our way to Fishnish and again when we arrived back in Lochaline. Had lunch (soup and savoury scone) and breakfast (ham and cheese sandwich, scone with jam & cream, latte) - both meals were absolutely delicious and the ingredients were high quality! The scone was still warm and fresh and so good with the jam & cream! We had the tomato soup for lunch and it was so cozy and comforting with our savoury scone! We are so glad we came back a second time. Our server was also very helpful the first time we came and helped us packed everything up quick when we realized our Ferry had arrived! Thank you Cafe LA! Hope to be back from Canada again soon!
