Made reservation in the states, required 10 pounds down payment (not a big deal). My reservation was for Friday night. Got there and seated. Beautiful place, wooden structural was well put together. The 10 course meal was delicious. Each plate was explained. There were a few "wow" factors on my meal. It was well worth the price. Presentation was very high. Each course was served with new clean knife, fork and spoon.
Inspired by the “EatDrinkHebrides” trail map, popped in to collect a picnic lunch during a Hebridean road trip. We had the most amazing toasties and hot chocolate. Handy for the ferry. Worth a detour!!
Zaika is the best Indian takeaway in Elgin without a doubt.
It’s a small family owned takeaway and everything is cooked fresh.
I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience here.
My favourite is the Chicken Tikka Masaladar, it’s very spicy with a kick but also has a sweet tang to it. Highly recommend this.
I have tried most of the speciality dishes and they are just equally as good.
Have visited a few times over this year and been impressed so thought it was time to review. Coffee is very good and the various cakes we’ve tried were always fresh and delicious. We’ve also tried soup for lunch which came in good sized portions and was very tasty served with bread and butter. Service is efficient, tables are cleared and cleaned promptly and the prices are reasonable. No fancy or fussy decor which is a plus in my opinion.
On our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wonderful venue to meet up with all your friends. I love listening to the Gaelic language and the beautiful music being played. English is spoken too.
I just felt so happy, safe and relaxed.
Would recommend to anyone to drop in when you are in town.
Food is lovely , coffee is amazing, staff are second to none.
Thank you for my wonderful experience .
Regretably, this wonderful restaurant has now closed as the owners retired.
Very best to them for a lovely retirement after many years of fabulous food and unbeatable hosting.
Bon chance!
I was in Granton on spey for a weeks holiday and was on a shopping trip to Elgin where we came across the muckle square Cafe. Wow. What a breakfast they do.huge and very reasonable price.we travelled there everyday for the week just to have there breakfast.can't recommend it highly enough.
We had sushi from House of Sushi last weekend (not for the first time). Sushi was really nice, really good choice for all tastes. Good value for money too. Will definitely be ordering again.
