Have visited a few times over this year and been impressed so thought it was time to review. Coffee is very good and the various cakes we’ve tried were always fresh and delicious. We’ve also tried soup for lunch which came in good sized portions and was very tasty served with bread and butter. Service is efficient, tables are cleared and cleaned promptly and the prices are reasonable. No fancy or fussy decor which is a plus in my opinion.

Lovely coffee shop. We enjoyed absolutely delicious Cullen skink, panini and the best lemon drizzle cake I’ve ever had. The inside is bright and clean and the staff are very friendly. We would highly recommend a visit to this lovely coffee shop.

Friendly staff, clean and bright inside and a good menu to choose from. I especially liked the spicy tomato soup. My mum said the carrot cake was delicious. I'll visit again next time I'm in the area.

On our holiday in Glenelg we popped into this cafe, which is popular with both locals and visitors. We only had coffee, but the food on offer looked very tasty. The owner was very friendly and helpful. There is ample parking nearby. Overall a nice place for a snack. Highly recommend.

Smiddy HouseWe didn’t have a booking but the restaurant fitted us in which we really appreciated. We were not disappointed the food was exceptional and so was the service. The menu is small, but perfect. We all ordered a different main course and none of us were disappointed. I have a starter again, beautiful and the rest of the party a dessert again fantastic. The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. It was the first evening of our stay and it could not have been any better. A really great restaurant. Thank you.

TornapressSo glad we stopped here. Great food and drink choices. Our sandwiches were really delicious and the salad with it so fresh. The cakes looked too good to miss so we’ve brought two away with us for later! The service was lovely - all ladies were delightful and our little dog Cari made a fuss of too with some dog treats. Great to have a browse in the gallery and shop also. Lots of lovely things to buy. A must to pop in if you’re lash b it even take a detour!!

8 Greig StreetThis is a fantastic spot for great food — easily the best burgers in Inverness. Everything is delicious, fresh, and made with care. The macaroni and chilli dishes are outstanding, and the loaded fries are absolutely worth trying. The staff are warm, welcoming, and excellent at what they do.

1 Shop StreetDas Restaurant ist ein verstecktes, auf den ersten Blick ziemlich unscheinbares Juwel. Ohne einen Hinweis aus dem World Wide Web wären wir sicher nicht darauf gekommen, dass man hier einkehren sollte, wenn man sich in der Umgebung von Tain/Schottland befindet. Im Restaurant hängt an der Wand eine Urkunde: der INVER INN ist bei einem Wettbewerb um die beste Küche der Highlands immerhin bis in die Finalrunde vorgedrungen. Ich hatte einen Fish Pie, der sensationell lecker schmeckte.
