The food served up at the Orkney Grill is truly excellent. All home made by Andy and Kerry, ably assisted by Ray, right down to the salad dressings and the burgers. Andy cooks everything to order, incredibly quickly, and that makes things superbly tasty. Salads are also freshly prepared and are to die for, with the tastiest homemade coleslaw and dressings. On top of that, all their burger patties at gluten free (so all beef, no rusk!), and they always have GF rolls and wraps, an accommodate other dietary needs like oat milk for the coffees for folk that are lactose intolerant. The weekly special burger and wrap are highly recommended, nay, essential, as they always seem to dream up amazing combinations to turn a burger or a wrap into an experience, rather than just lunch. If you think this is just another burger van, think again. Its more a quality restaurant on wheels!

Excellent thin-crust sourdough pizza with a good selection of toppings. I had the Zola (nothing to do with French literature - it has Gorgonzola cheese in the topping) and my wife had Quattro formaggi (also with Gorgonzola). Quick, friendly service, a simple and clean space and BYOB. What more can you ask for?

This cafe is up towards Graham Place from the main street. We enjoyed soup, toasties, coffees and two slices of a deliciously moist chocolate cake before setting off for the St Margaret's Hope ferry. It was very relaxed with a friendly atmosphere, with local artwork on the walls, some for sale. Service was excellent and we would recommend this as somewhere to eat after visiting the town's excellent museum.
