The best restaurants in Dumbarton West Dunbartonshire Glasgow and Surrounding

Have been here many times and is definitely my favourite spot locally, the owners are brilliant and their menu is extensive, food is always lovely and their coffees are very nice too! Great selection of cakes on offer too if you just fancy heading in for a coffee and a cake, definitely up there with Dumbarton's finest :)

Lovely open sandwhiches! we felt so welcome. The cakes looked amazing (although I didn’t have one as my sandwhich was more than enough) I will have to get one next time. Quality food

Everything about this magnificent cafe is astounding - sensational, friendly service; a diverse and delectable menu with a range of tantalising and decadently delicious dishes; expertly brewed coffee and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. My friends and I feel that this marvel deserves all the respect and recognition in the world - it is truly the best possible start to the day! Located directly beneath Dumbarton East Train Station - so perfectly situated too x

Great spot! The food is always lovely and freshly made. It's so reasonably priced. I travel here regularly, especially for Enchilada Wednesday's!

The food is amazing, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the staff are brilliant, friendly, helpful, and very thoughtful! I've eaten in the pub a few times and will always recommend it! On this occasion we ordered online for delivery, and the food was just as amazing as it is in-house. Same generous portions of tasty, filling food, piping hot, and delivered in less than an hour. I will always recommend the Glencairn Lounge to everyone.

The best steak pie I’ve ever eaten in my life. Katherine assisted me with our order and she could not be more pleasant to work with. Even the delivery driver was exactly on time and delightful funny and engaging. Strangely, the grill offers chicken enchiladas. This was as tasty as food I’ve eaten in Mexico and the heat level and Mexican spices were outstanding. We will order again from there tomorrow due to delicious food and charming staff.

The Gossip Shop closed a while back and has reopened as “Inn Defence” a coffee, burger and vinyl record shop. It has great coffee and a ton of vegan options, from homemade sausage patties for the crispy rolls, burgers, pancakes and tray bakes.

The restaurant was meant to be open till 9.30, and even has an open board but when we are in to order a take away, the staff don’t look much interested to serve and after some discussion say the kitchen is closed.

The food was delicious, great variety, fresh flavors, and the friendly service made it a perfect spot for a family meal. It helped that the restaurant had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
