Vault 94 Atomic Diner in West Dunbartonshire

Very rude owner, concept of returning something that's wrong doesn't register here, they just charge you twice, food below average, service rubbish, avoid if possible

Stopped by for lunch as i quite frequently do here, ordered at the window as normal. It was cold outside and the 2 people waiting behind me had decided to go inside instead of waiting outside leaving me and one other man waiting outside on our orders. Nearly 15 minutes had passed and i asked the man behind the counter (I believe he is the owner) where my lunch was as i had noticed the people originally behind us had got theres already and had left. He said “I don’t no”, i asked him to check and he gave me a strange look and walked into the kitchen. A few minutes later after him not coming back to update me i noticed him serving someone else, i got his attention and asked him just to cancel my order as i had to get back to work, i simply couldn’t wait any longer. His response was nothing short of down right rude. He looked through me and walked away. I called him back to highlight why i was cancelling and without getting the chance he in a raised voice said “your cancelling your order and i am busy, what do you want me to do??” He turned and continued what he was doing so i left. Thank fully I had not paid yet so did not have to ask for a refund. This is a shame as this place generally is very good and has tasty food. You have tainted my opinion now though. I was only chasing up my order…..

Often come with my son as he loves a roll n tattie scone from here. Staff are always lovely and remember how I like my tea which is always a bonus! Food is lovely and can't fault the shop in any way. Highly reccoment it, I bypass the other roll shop thats nearby to specifically come here!

In Durmbarton with work, and after a early start, decided to grab a coffee and roll before making the journey home. On the drive into Dumbarton I had noticed Vault 94 Atomic Diner, thanks to the big mural on the side wall of the building, so when making my way back a couple of hours later, thought I would stop there. Great little cafe with a excellent selection of hot and cold rolls to pick from, fresh coffee and great baked goodies. All to good to narrow down, so took a latte, a breakfast roll and some Millionaire Shortbread, and came to a bargain £5! If in the area again will have no issue with coming back here again. Also doing a fantastic job adapting to COVID regulations, with plenty of social distancing and a small street hatch for making orders without needing to go in.

Visited this morning with my wife and son, very clean place in comfortable surroundings, the menus were delivered to our tables promptly, the breakfast choice was vast, basically anything you could want in any combination. The Lorne sausage was tasty and not rock hard like in some cafes, wife said the poached eggs were perfect, and son was very complimentary about the hash browns, but everything was good quality and cooked to perfection, pleasant service and good prices make this a great place to visit if you are in the Dumbarton area.

Great place, great service. Food was top notch and loved the retro theme, including the arcade machine. Being able to get a glass bottle of IRN BRU for the table also a bonus.

Driving through on a long weekend away and the staff are so friendly, the food is brilliant and a great atmosphere! Really like the French toast and hot chocolate as I have a sweet tooth. We only had the breakfast but the option for burgers and sandwiches where also tempting. Would recommend!

We always stop here for breakfast when passing through Dumbarton. Food always good and freshly cooked. Would recommend

Great wee cafe.. I often come for breakfast with friends sometimes with kids.. we pop in after school for snack and treats.. very friendly family run business..nothing’s ever too much trouble for them. It’s dog friendly too! It’s small but comfortable.. excellent menu! Fab cake selection! Great milkshakes Good prices..

Use the vault a lot. Take away salad rolls super fresh and delicious. Eat in too and the service is always good and food yummy. Home baking is the best.

My husband and I were looking for a quick, small bite after climbing the stairs at Dumbarton castle and this definitely delivered. A steady stream of locals is always a good sign!! We even had table service! And he was super friendly. Had the bacon, Brie and cranberry toasted panini and it had fabulous flavour. 5 stars for the price point and the taste. Leaving happy!

Came for lunch with two friends and our food was absolutely delicious and prompt. Staff are absolutely lovely and very attentive and all of our needs were met. Lots to choose from in the menu and very very reasonable prices over all. Will definitely be returning soon. A wee hidden gem in Dumbarton East!

This little cafe serves a very good selection of light snacks and meals at reasonable prices. The coffee is excellent but unfortunately there are very few allergy free options

Lovely friendly diner with a great selection of food. French Toast and Coffee was just what I needed to start the day off and free wifi meant I could get some emails sent off at the same time. Also had the Mac and Cheese and Veggie Burger before and both were delicious. Dumbarton East is definitely the place to be!

Amazing! Working my way through their great range of burgers. NYC burger my fav so far! My wife and I are in every week for lunch. Great price too!

Food is delicious and plentiful. A great range of choices to suit all. Very welcoming and particularly accommodating to our babys. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Great prices.

Usually drive through this part of town so didn’t realise diner was there. Since been a couple of times. Tea and cakes excellent. Full breakfast for a fiver. Brill quality. Butchers square sausage etc. Local business that’s well worth supporting.

Just had a makeover recently with new, bright murals and a revamped menu. Food is terrific. They even have a retro video games machine...

This place is heavensent. Chris and Susan the owners are the salt of the earth. The food is to die for and you feel so well looked after and cared for. I have never had a bad experience. Caters for every taste and very fairly priced. 10/10

Lovely retro cafe with great food and comfortable atmosphere. I recommend the pizza burger and a milkshake. Such a wide menu and friendly staff.

Popped in for a bite to eat and drink before catching the train. Fantastic menu choices and very nice friendly people. Relaxing atmosphere and close to my flat. 😂

Friendly and fast service at The Little Coffee Shop, lovely fresh breakfast roll too :) my new local go to breakfast and takeaway place.

Lovely little place with a nice view of Dumbarton rock, staff were very lovely and welcoming - felt like I’d known them for years ! homemade cake was absolutely fantastic. Would definetly reccomend

First visit to this fantastic roll shop that is tucked away but worth the search. Very small but well equipped for a sit in breakfast or lunch and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. More than happy to stray from the original menu. Perfect crispy rolls and everything cooked to perfection. I will definitely be going here from now on.

Visited this special little place with one of my good friends for a bite to eat. The staff were lovely and the food was something else! Will be back :)

Had a lovely lunch in this tiny retro coffee shop. My favorite was a delicious panini with brie, bacon and cranberry sauce. Would definitely eat here again when in the area.

La proprietaria della lavanderia automatica all'angolo dalla parte opposta della strada ci ha consigliato questo posto ed è stata una piacevole sosta.Il locale è piccolissimo ma ha una varietà di offerta degna di un ristorante. Caffè espresso lavazza, Ottimo tea scozzese e molte torte e dolci. Da provare!

Been many times for breakfast and lunch and not once have we been disappointed. Great fresh food and great service. It's the only we go to now x

I visited earlier today with my daughter as we're visiting for a family wedding. We both went for the veggie breakfast which came with two of our favourite Linda McCartney sausages, eggs, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, totty scones and toast. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The owners are really friendly and nothing's too much trouble. If you're in or near Dumbarton you should pay them a visit.

found this great place when first moved to dumbarton and have been several times since, does great breakfast sandwiches at a great price, always friendly service with a smile. if your after a quick breakfast sandwich on the go, would recommend here.

We dropped in for coffee and breakfast..... How lucky were we to be able to sample the home made scones still warm from the oven..... Butter melting into the light and fruity center, topped off with locally made jam! Great value, great coffee and lovely friendly owners. It's a little gem and well worth dropping by.

Gorgeous coffee, nice selection of teas too. Liked the soft drinks selection, different to what's usually offered. Good varied menu, portion sizes were generous and nicely presented. The decor has a 70's vibe and I really liked all the little decorative touches. Would definitely recommend.
