The best restaurants in Leith Walk Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

A great spot for Singaporean and HK inspired treats! We arrived ten minutes before the place opened on a Sunday, and, I’m glad we did, as the place filled up very quickly. The interior is small, but has a really nice vibe! As someone constantly missing the Hong Kong teatime culture, I was very excited to see some of my favourite cafe classics on the menu, including HK toast, kaya toast, and teas and coffees with condensed milk. We ordered the roti canai, kaya toast and HK toast to share, and a cup of teh tarik, a Singapore signature hand pulled tea, each. Everything was delicious and satisfied my craving for nostalgia (and good food!). I was a bit confused that the crusts were cut off the HK toast, as this is unusual at least in Hong Kong, but my sister pointed out that bread in the UK is much tougher, so this was probably a very good shout! Didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but we didn’t really need to as they were very efficient and we had no complaints about the food. I’d love to come back during a future visit to Edinburgh to try their coffee and larger main dishes.

We had a really enjoyable breakfast here. The staff were really friendly and very accommodating of our baby and buggy. The food was delicious- glad we found this little spot.

What a great vibe.. perfect pairings with great taste. The ambience is lovely and sitting at the kitchen bar is so much fun.. they change their tacos every week so be there to taste.. great service so friendly and they make it very enjoyable. The flavor of the food is super good and the sauces are to die for.. you can just buy them also.. lovely music to get you in that vibe. Go as a group of friends or on a date or with family.. its lovely.. well worth it

Imagine the horror of staring out of the window of a soulless Seattle coffee template of a location while underpaid staff stress behind you only to see a charismatic indie across the road. So, if you fancy a coffee and are on Leith Walk then cross over and go to Tepuy instead. You'll find a welcoming and popular choice nook. The Columbian coffee is simply fantastic. It makes you regret those other coffee choices made previously. Well, some of them, let's not be too dramatic. Let's be practical instead and point out you can eat in or get the coffee to go. I did on my first trip and had finished the whole recyclable cup after only one block. I also picked up a lovely slice of Victoria sponge. That was fresh and decadent in all the good ways Food is something the website doesn't make here. You can come here to buy coffee to grind. You can also come for a sit down, coffee to drink and a cake. [July 2023 - I visit as often as I can, generally around once a week. I've not seen food on sale in months. The good news is the coffee is great and this ethical independent now lets you pick from a range of Columbian beans thanks to their single shot grinder.] [October 2023 - They've a loyalty card that gives you a free coffee fairly quickly. Worth asking for one!] [March 2024 - really good for people who care about their coffee] [November 2024 - have been stocking biscuits recently, Ideal for a snack with a coffee]

Friendly staff, excellent pastries, above-average coffee. Not advisable for groups of more than 4, but perfect for couples or single people.

Sobresaliente. Un pequeño lugar genial. La comida era increíble. Como vegetariano, quizás una o dos opciones más de verduras, pero las que tenía eran excelentes, particularmente las albóndigas que caldo wow. Excelente hospitalidad y los desiertos fueron compendiados ya que era mi cumpleaños de maridos. El pastel de queso - increíble. ¡Gracias! Volveremos sin duda! 🙂

Una pequeña cafetería encantadora con una decoración linda y personal amable. La comida y el café es absolutamente precioso y a un precio razonable también. Perfecto para un frío domingo por la mañana 😊

Bij Mo geweest voor het beste ontbijt in Edinburgh. Het menu was erg uitgebreid en alles zag er lekker uit. De muffins en wafels waren geweldig. Ook de prijs kwaliteit verhouding was perfect. Voor iedereen een aanrader die een koffiebar zoekt.

You are in for a real treat! This is a menu that packs a flavour punch & yet at £34 is the best value for money. (On par with Fhior for flavour, yet is more than half the price) Each mouthful delights, hard to pick a favourite dish so let the pictures do the talking. What I will say is I loved it so much I immediately booked to come back again and bring the hubby. Second time I opted for the vegetarian menu which was a light balanced and still flavourful. Watching the team work was a privilege, to the standards of The Manoir, each looking after the other to ensure customers have the best experience.

Amazing food. Fantastic human staff. Dog friendly. And to die for cinnamon roll bun thingies. 😍 I went in close to closing time and was still welcomed in. Had a delicious salad and pasta. So delicious I ordered one to take out. I was gifted two buns that were heavenly! My very small dog loved the pasta too! ❤️

Mi pareja y yo paramos espontáneamente después de asomarnos en la ventana y tuvimos la más deliciosa patata y queso pastelería y espinaca feta borek pastel, calentado y servido en un plato con salsa de yogur y hummus ajos. absolutamente 11 / 10. uno de mis lugares favoritos que he comido aquí. y servicio encantador y amable.

Qué increíble hallazgo. Servicio realmente encantador - servido por un amable chico francés. Buen café y yo comimos bollo vegano casero. Mi amigo había escalfado huevos y tostadas y huevos se veían perfectos. ¡La focaccia casera se veía perfecta y lo intentará la próxima vez!
