My partner and I have been to simply Greek multiple times and the service and food have been absolutely wonderful every time. The staff is fast and friendly and everything in the menu is so delicious!

I had the aubergine salad......to die for, fresh, so flavoursome that had my taste buds jumping for joy. The pork gyros portion transported me back to Amorgos. Surely the best Gyros in Edinburgh. Lots of nicely sliced pork with a good browned crisp outer and soft inner. Fresh cold tzatziki, salad on the side, with delicious pitta bread. What more could anyone want. For dessert I had the filo pastru slice, topped with custard then cream, topped with chopped pistachio nuts. A great finisher, not too sweet, just right. I'm local & have meant to try Simply Greek long before now. I now wish I'd made that effort sooner. Be aware it's a busy wee place, though I managed to get a seat. If you can't get a seat immediately & weather permitting it's well worth just waiting outside as the table turnover is steady. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Went to Edinburgh for a long weekend with the family to see the Proclaimers live. Stayed in the suburb of Leith and there’s lots of choices to eat. We tried this small eatery with a traditional Greek menu. Absolutely superb food. Chicken gyros to die for. Top quality food in a subtle surroundings. Highly recommend a visit.

A small restaurant big on flavor. The Chicken Skewer Portion Main Dish with a side of grilled veggies was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The revolving door of pick up orders let us know it is a local favorite and we tasted why. The main dish would have filled me up, but the grilled veggies were worth the extra cost and calories.

Absolutely delicious grill options, gyros, and more. Small place but they also do takeaway. Very fast service. A go-to on "I can't be bothered to cook" nights. Never overdone meats. Really well seasoned and cooked food.

I recommend everybody to go to this restaurant who enjoys authentic Greek food. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered the small mixed grill, the gyros meal and two drinks for approx £32. The food was delicious and the portions were large. We’re super happy that we went there!

I've visited Simply Greek on my own on my last few days in Edinburgh. As a Greek, I was very pleasantly surprised to see that the menu items, presentation and portion sizes were as I would expect them to be in most good grillhouses in Athens! Authentic souvlaki (pita wraps with skewers or gyro) and a wide selection of salads and condiments for a proper price. Not more expensive than it should be, but also not too cheap. And this quality is reflected in the food! I've tried the pork gyros souvlaki wrap and plain chips for takeaway. The latter were excellent value for money in terms of the quantity, as can be seen in the picture. The gyros was seasoned appropriately, and the homemade tzatziki (included in the souvlaki wrap) was bomb!!! I also loved the wee detail on the paper that they use to wrap the souvlaki. It's got the same thickness and texture as what you'd expect to get in Greece, along with a nice inscription in greek. They clearly pay attention to detail, and I would highly recommend this place to people that want to taste authentic Greek delicacies while in Edinburgh!

Came in for a takeaway with a couple of friends. Food was prepared quickly and very good, and also great value for money will come back for a sit in meal next time.

This was our favorite meal in Edinburgh! The Homemade Tirokafteri Starter was delicious! Our main courses were, also. The dining room is very small, but comfortable. The server was attentive, and the food was superb. Highly recommend if you like traditional Greek food that is well prepared and priced. We ate at several of the fine dining establishments in Edinburgh, but Simply Greek was more satisfying.

Have been here numerous times, eating or ordering a takeaway. Every time excellent and friendly! Best chicken gyros in Scotland hands down!!

Hungry after work I wanted something different. I came across Simply Greek and ordered the Mpougiournti (Feta & peppers with pitta) and a chicken skewer wrap. They were both delicious, very flavorsome. I'll be back!

A wee cafe half way down Leith Walk isn't where you'd expect to find top quality Greek food but there it is. Clean surroundings, friendly staff and delicious food. The main courses aren't as cheap as you'd expect in the location but it's worth it.
