Instagram photos don’t always tell the truth. While service and wine were very good, the food was a big disappointment. Look very pretty on the plate (for instagram) but none of the dishes were memorable or flavourful.

This is a must dining experience in Edinburgh/Stockbridge! We had a 5+ course tasting menu prepared right before our eyes with an exquisite collection of wines expertly paired to each taste. They have a lot of non-alcoholic beverage options too including a homemade Kumbucha. Be prepared to spend your whole evening in this aesthetically pleasing dining room since we were there for almost four hours!

Fue un muy buen desayuno en Hata! Tomamos los rollos de canela, un chaï latte y un pistacho latte. Un ambiente muy relajante y agradable.

We came across this chap in grass market walking during our Edinburgh vegan food trip. We had the blueberry cheesecake recommended by the other reviewer, totally agree with the sentiment, outstanding in flavour and texture. We also tried the brownie, tiffin and some cookie marshmallow sandwich creation (yeah we like vegan cakes!). Everything was handmade, the chap took pride in his work and was super friendly. 10 out of 10, if this business was nearer where I live, I would need to buy another wardrobe! Go visit!

Unpretentious, friendly, homemade, affordable. Not easy to find cafe's like this so close to the city centre.

Like some other reviews have mentioned, we were persuaded by the strong reviews to eat here and were seriously disappointed in the quality of the food. Dishes looked nice and presentable but the taste was awful and a very expensive (30£ a dish!). The ravioli pasta was seriously over cooked and resembled meaty mush that wouldn’t even attach to a fork and the melanzana was salty and tasted like baking soda and was inedible. A real disappointment as the staff were nice and the place seemed very cozy and we paid nearly £200 for our a la carte meal.
