One of my many times at Friar Tucks, Newry. Seeing as I was in the mood for a takeaway I figured Friar Tucks would do nicely. There were some tables around if you wanted to sit in. Whilst walking up to the counter to make my order I couldn't help but notice that the floor was quite dirty and sticky. That generally seems to be the case in most takeaways. Anyways, I ordered my food and sat down while I waited. The food took a long time to be prepared which was a bummer as I was famished. In the end it came. Once arriving home I tucked in to one of the nicest Friar Tucks I'd had in a long time. Chips were well cooked and delicious. Burger was fantastic too. Decent place to go for a takeaway.

Ordered 2 Chinese banquets for takeaway. Most of it was OK nothing fantastic but no complaints except for the crispy duck and pancakes. The duck was completely burnt to a cinder and I mean it was literally charcoal. No could eat it and it all went in the bin.

Did not know it was reopened. Hungry and called in for a fill up before tea. It looks so bright and clean now. I took a seat and was greeted by a gaggle of young friendly smiling girls, all giddy and gossipy. Still they were easy on the eye and very friendly. I ordered a sausage roll and a latte. But I was hungry so J ordered another sausage roll and got an extra shot in the coffee as it was weakish. I recommend it fully. At £6.00 pricey. Sausage roll was £1.75 each and not big. But a treat now and agajn is fine.

Is Ebeneezer Scrooge the manager of this branch??? My wife, daughter and I visited a couple of days back for some hot beverages and sandwiches. Our daughter cannot drink tea or coffee for health reasons and uses a medicinal teabag which she brings in her handbag. My wife and I had coffee and I asked for a cup of hot water for our daughter. Would you believe, the young man who served us was not only so lacking in personality that I think he must have been weaned on lemons, but worst of all he refused the cup of water. Very Christmassy attitude I must say. I had to pay £3.50 for a herbal tea so that our daughter could have a drink. Won’t be going in there again. Very dirty place, bad attitudes and the coffee tasted like ditchwater.

Hit and miss, during the week, some of the food is lovely, Sundays is a disaster, not good this past few times, staff are lovely, do their best, run of their feet at times, but need to improve on the food, and brighten up the decor, to drab.

Got terrible food poisoning by 2am. Will never order again. We have ordered several times in the past and have always had to pay the Warrenpoint surcharge which is a nuisance, but now this has happened, they won't be getting our business again.

This place is a joke and no one answers the phone to make complaints. I put in an order yesterday and the choc shake for the child was mostly strawberry with a chocolate topping. There was 2 meals missing. This isn't the first time. It's friggan fast food not a fine dining place. A toddlar could match orders to the right people. What a joke

I bought my lunch snacks earlier on today n bought myself salted caramel frappe, ham n cheese toastie, cinnamon bun and a lady bird biscuit. The service was a bunch of joke and them staff were lazy and too busy talking to them selves and I was not happy with this service but the food was lovely. Not be back ever again!!! Them girls worked in there were very slow and they were confused to all customers ... This is disgrace ...

place could be a lot better - clean the windows as they are filthy and brush the floor. it doesnt take much to tidy the place up. the childs high chair didn't look very appealing either. reading the other comments everyone says the same thing so not sure why no action is ever taken
