This was our first visit to Millside in Gracehill. We were very impressed. It was Monday night and we availed of the Early Bird Menu. One course plus tea/coffee was £14.95. Two and three course options were available. Early Bird finishes at 6PM. The restaurant was very comfortable. Bathrooms extremely clean. Staff friendly and efficient. Food well presented and really tasty. We will certainly return! Well done Millside!

We were part of a large christening party for a Sunday carvery today, we we were seated immediately and had our drinks order taken on being seated. The starters were great choices of soups and rolls, a large salad selection chicken wings, and ribs etc. The main was good typical of a carvery with selections being replenished can be hit and miss ham was great for me turkey was bit dry. Dessert was great, there was a large selection for all tastes. The staff are extremely hard working and bent over backwards to accommodate us, hats off and 5 stars for them. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are kept immaculate. I would highly recommend.

Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. Seafood gratin was bland but seabass was ok. Real issue was we prepaid for a 3 course set menu and after 3.5 hours from being seated (7.30-11pm) service had been so slow we still hadn't even received menus for desserts so we never got dessert, tea or coffee which we had paid for. They refused to refund anything at all or even take any money off the wine we drank. Their reason being 'we can't swap alcohol for food'. They offered us a round of shots which noone wanted (it was a 70th birthday meal) and also went against their excuse of not swapping food for alcohol. Final straw was when we refused the shots they said they could comp our teas and coffees which not only we never received but also were included in the price we originally paid. The restaurant was not full and the staff were not moving as if they were in any way rushed. I would have given 1 star but the second star recognises the fact that we had provided our own cake which they brought out so that did slow down service for about 15 minutes. However waiting with empty plates in front of us with no menu for the dessert being brought out for an hour is unacceptable. Charging for 3 courses and dragging out the first 2 for 3.5 hours until 11pm is unprofessional.

During a recent stay at Galgorm with my partner, we did feel a little disappointed by our experience at Fratelli’s. The quality of food didn’t quite meet our expectations, and it felt somewhat underwhelming compared to the high standards set by the rest of the resort. Sadly, we’re unlikely to return to this restaurant as it didn’t live up to the excellence we anticipated.

We had a gift voucher to use so we decided to come for lunch. The decor is very nice with all the bottles etc. It was not too busy when we arrived but filled up well, which is a good sign. The staff were very helpful, attentive and pleasant. The food was excellent too with ample portions, and the voucher took the sting out of the slightly high prices, but that's what makes gifts nice. The only criticism was the coffee, which was bizarrely badly made and I'm not a coffee snob by any means. Otherwise we were very pleased with the experience.

Often visit but on regular occasions phone to place an order and the staff in the shop are so helpful and very friendly. The bread is so lovely and as for the cream buns they are scrumptious. We travel 13 miles to get their bread as nowhere in Newtownabbey could match their bread.
