Thanks so much for the perfect birthday lunch! Friendly staff, incredibly fresh food catering for veggies, vegans and meat eaters alike. Have been meaning to visit for ages and wasn’t disappointed. Thank you!
We visited the Seafood Bar after seeing it when we bought fresh fish from the adjoining shop. First impressions are that this is just like an Italian simple quayside cafe with an English Brighton Lanes/Borough Market feel. Food a total surprise and wonderful. Those Posh Chips are deceptively filling and soooo delicious, fish roll, scallop roll etc superb. The mussels fresh from the landing boat smell of the sea! Staff very friendly (but not familiar) and always cheerful. I know all the positive reviews of this young cafe will make finding a table difficult but we have so few truly good places to eat that I have to take that chance. This is Nirvana for non meat eaters . Oh, I forgot the music in the area with bench tables and huge oil drum brazier in front of the cooking hut. Very Brighton feel with 70s/80s hits! We are off today for Sunday ‘lunch’ and shall be inside because of the rain. Husband loves the Champagne Beer. He almost fell over with shock at the low price too. I have Americano Coffee (no fancy barista stuff here) and it is seriously good. Wine list impressive, blankets to go over the knee should shivers set in as we are beside the quay. So if you find funds deny your overseas break this year, come along to Seafood Bar and enjoy the continental harbour taverna ambience.
I popped in to this coffee shop for my first ever visit. I had recently bought a coffee machine at home and wanted to buy some freshly roasted coffee beans. Carlos could not have been more friendly. He gave me lots of valuable advice as well as a mini lesson on how to make the perfect cup of coffee. He even gave me a free sample of ground coffee to take home!! Such a lovely man. He certainly went above and beyond. I bought a bag of their own freshly roasted coffee beans to take home and it makes amazing coffee. I will certainly be returning!
This place is epic. The food is AMAZING!!! all made in house including the cakes and sweet treats. Nadia the owner is the warmest host- its like you are a family friend visiting their home. I am currently eating my way through the menu and haven't found a dish i don't love. Please go in and try you wont be disappointed!!!!
Had a wonderful afternoon with friends at aFic this week. Colin has beautiful wines and lovely snacks (we had tempura prawns, breaded mushrooms, cheese & crackers). Just the best! Booking advised.
A lovely selection of local produce, prepared by the owners. Very competitively priced and good value. Located on Triangle Square a short walk from the seafront.
We popped into today having heard good things. It was amazing!!
Such creativity in flavours!
We had miso, banana and butterscotch... pear, coconut and cardamom.... salted pumpkin seed... blueberry and lavender jam flavour. They were all deeeeelicious!!
It's not the cheapest place, but it's worth it for a creative flavour adventure that's really head to beat!
On a particularly crowded and noisy day today in Newquay, we just needed somewhere quiet to rest our feet and get a bite to eat. My teenage daughter and her friend loved their toasted sandwiches, while my wife and I both opted for Cheddar Baps. We were both astonished with just how delicious and awesomely good the chef here could make of something as potentially mundane as a cheese bap. Each of our baps were made from a light homemade bread rolls and filled with a perfect combination of chutney, rocket, lambs lettuce, pickle and melted cheese. Plus a side of perfectly made creamy coleslaw too. Absolutely ten out of ten for such a perfect lunchtime meal plus most friendly and helpful service too. Especial thanks to the proprietor who readily understood our teenage daughter’s sensory processing disorder and turned down the volume of music while we were there. This was a special and memorable stop for us today.
Wow, what a fabulous place this is. I visited on a Saturday lunchtime and the place was buzzing. They offer a large selection of breakfast, brunch, lunch dishes as well as afternoon tea, takeaway service and delicious looking cakes. The service was spot on, Ellie our server was so polite and helpful and the food was all so good. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, it’s close by to Denby Pottery too.
I had trouble booking by phone/online so I emailed instead and I was very happy with the response
3 people attended for Sunday lunch with a weaning baby and it was wonderful. That staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We all had roasts which were lovely with all the trimmings (pork, turkey and lamb), great selection of veg (roast and mash potato, parsnip, red cabbage, broccoli, broccoli/cauli cheese and carrots) and huge portions. They put the baby's in a special bowl and were extremely accomodating. And the prices were really reasonable.
The breakfast was recommended by a friend, but the lunch did not disappoint.
If I was going to make any criticisms - the riot veg was a little el dente and as a bigger family we were a little cramped, but we would definitely return.
We visited here yesterday and the food and the service was absolutely amazing definitely deserves a trip and looking forward to visiting again soon thabk so you so much.
