We have used this bakery twice now for funeral wakes at the Cricketters in Calcutt.
A lovely spread plenty of variety of food at reasonable prices would definitely recommend the ladies x
The first dog friendly cafe we have visited. To say it was hit with Pablo and Daphne is an under statement. Grain free doggy biscuits for this pair and cake and coffee for the humans. Great menu for both humans and dogs to pick from. Friendly service, great food and a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Defiantly worth a visit if you are in the area
Qué joyita escondida de un café salón de té. Artesanía. Estaba satisfecho con el servicio de primera clase. El té y el pastel era delicioso. Un lugar acogedor a la antigua. Volveremos.
Great customer service.
Portions were sizeable and very reasonable in price.
Plus I could take my dog!
Wood definitely go back and would recommend. Thank you!
We went to the Seafood night with friends. The 5 course menu was amazing … high quality seafood and everything perfectly cooked, plus a great atmosphere with live music and excellent, friendly service. We all had a great evening.
After lunch, we made a bee-line to hear to indulge our sweet-tooth. The queue was worth it. I opted for the biscoff and liquorice flavours - creamy and a generous portion. Well worth a visit, so make sure you visit and enjoy everey mouthful.
Pleasant lady who serves you at the counter. Food came very quick. Nice and hot good flavour to the sausage very clean place 👌 high recommended for just the quietness
We had a lovely meal here. The restaurant itself is quite quirky and in a bit of a strange location. There is nothing much around it so definitely one where you would drive to as it’s not really near to the centre of Brighouse. There were a few tables in when we arrived for our 7pm booking and the restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. Nice background music and gorgeous lighting. It is only small so I would advise to book. We chose 3 dishes per person and one side. The highlights were definitely the sagnaki cheese with pitta, the squash and sage arrancini and the venison meatballs. All really good, beautifully presented and plentiful.
A couple of things to mention. We didn’t enjoy the tomato and rosemary salt and garlic flatbread. For one it wasn’t a flatbread and more like a focaccia with a chopped tomato topping. The topping was almost ice cold so not really what we were expecting. The flat iron steak was nicely cooked but again the chimichurri that it was covered in was cold so we ate the steak quickly before it was lukewarm. The Sauvignon rose was lovely but not served in a tumbler! I thought it might just have been my drink but the couple to our left who were sharing a bottle of wine had tumblers as did the five ladies behind us. Clearly the dishwasher hadn’t been on! A service charge was added to the bill which was fine, we were happy to pay, but I did notice that the steak for example was a pound more than what was stated on the menu charged at £17 and not £16. Again not really a big issue but the menus should be changed to reflect the correct prices. The service was good and friendly and the dishes do come out as and when they are ready which is explained at the time of ordering. Our bill for two people with 6 dishes and a side and two rounds of drinks came to just over £100. It’s not cheap but baring the tomato bread we loved all the dishes and I would happily return especially as the menu seems to be changed on a regular basis
We ordered afternoon tea. It was homemade and tasted delicious. It included a bespoke scotch egg, sausage roll, meat pie, cheese & ham wheel. Then there was a selection of desserts. The fruit crumble was excellent! Would definitely order again. Great value too.
Great sandwiches and sausage rolls at a great price.
Chicken mayo sandwich packed full, could have done with a bit more chicken in though.
Sausage rolls warm and tasty.
Lovely .
This has been our regular takeaway now for many years and it's everything you want it to be. Spotlessly clean, very friendly, reasonably priced and most importantly, the food is excellent. I know people who travel miles to use this takeaway as it's so good and so dependable.
I can honestly say I've never had a bad dish and between myself, family & friends we've covered most of the menu! The benchmark by which all others are judged.
