The best restaurants in Rastrick Calderdale Yorkshire and The Humber

So happy I discovered this place, possibly the best BLT I have had & they do a good job with the coffee too. Super lovely staff! They have a nice selection of what look like home made cakes etc, will be trying on my next visit.

Order got refused and would appear the takeaway is closed down from ringing at time open and having no answer and order been refused. was very disappointed to wait over half hour for a order to be sent back.

Was in here 10/01/2025 and warmly welcomed by Roxanne. Upon dining Nic took very good care of me too. However; when the food arrived I couldn’t believe my eyes. It was amazing, the prawn and tomato starter was delicious and actually had prawns in it 😉 The mushroom risotto even more scrumptious. These dishes and their presentation belonged in a 5 star hotel or Michelin star restaurant. A real treat for the folk of Brighouse. #LovedIt

I have visited here countless times for as long as I can remember and it is one of the best spots to eat in brighouse. I recommend it to anyone who wants fish and chips in the Huddersfield/Halifax region.

We stopped at the newley opened cafe rio There are only open for take a way Due to corona virus It was nice to sit outside in the sunshine We was served by Jackie the owner She is very friendly and helpful Are food was yummy And I will be going back next time I'm in brighouse. I'm look forward to been able to sit inside for lunch Thank you Jackie for a lovely breakfast

Went in at 1pm and they said "were closed" says they close at 2 on the door and there were people in eating.

lovely food and very tasty. I had the curry pizza but was a little too spicy so I couldn't finish it (I'm very boring curry wise and usually have korma) so I think next time I order just a normal pizza

Terrible food and service, won't be back. Food had obviously been pre-cooked and not thoroughly re-heated. Not the treat we were expecting...

Golden Star Chinese Takeaway, Rastrick, Brighouse Don’t let the modest exterior fool you—Golden Star is a hidden gem! I recently tried their salt and pepper chicken with rice and barbecue spare ribs, and I was thoroughly impressed. The flavors were spot on, with the perfect balance of seasoning and freshness. The salt and pepper chicken was crispy yet tender, and the barbecue spare ribs were deliciously succulent. For me, this is the best Chinese takeaway in Brighouse. The quality of the food speaks for itself, making it a fantastic choice for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Chinese dishes. Highly recommend!

Poor service all round.. Ordered take away at 7:58 didn't arrive until 9:52. Chips cold once again chicken a little chewy.. Massive jump in prices £10.20 to £13 hike of £2.80. Best part of meal was the can of coke.. Not worth it..

I rang as soon as they opened (5pm) and requested a delivery for 7pm. 7.45 came and no sign of the delivery, setting off now the girl said, 8.15 still no delivery so I rang again to be told they were setting off in 5 minutes, at that point I said to cancel the order as it was too late. There was a knock at the door and there was our order. I have to say the food was absolutely delicious. They had my number and if they had rung and apologised and explained the driver was running late it wouldn’t have been so bad, it’s the fact they lied and said the driver had set off etc. I am not sure I would risk ordering again because it took way long to come.

Only words server said was my order number, no manners. Didn’t offer choice of drink, pricked two Pepsi’s on the side. Could see I was carrying but never offered drinks carrier/holder. I had to reach over counter to get one my self. Terrible service.
