The best restaurants in West Midlands

Only came for a beer as I’d filled up in Bonehead. A great selection of craft and local beer, super venue, light and welcoming. Great service and a lovely refuge from the city

Yet another great meal…our favourite place to eat in Stratford. The restaurant was packed but the service and food were excellent - well done Team El Greco!

Visited yesterday as a group of 9. Great place with a good atmosphere and busy especially for a Wednesday night. Laid out really well with a big selection of beers. Service was nice and quick, food arrived hot and quickly. I have tried better mixed grills but that is not to discredit the work that the guys are doing there. Would like to see fish pakora on the mixed grill rather than 2 lamb chops

I visited here for an engagement party recently and its such a beautiful venue. There was a pianist playing which added to the vibe. There was a wide variety of food served to suit all, and the drinks were also very tasty!

We came here for a conference dinner and had pre ordered the party menu. The food was ok but nothing special. The service however was dreadful. We were a large group who had prepaid for food (which was not cheap) and they would not let us order drinks individually and wanted someone to pay for the whole party, which is tricky and even more tricky when you don't know each other! This is definitely one way to not make money on drinks.... When we finally ordered drinks it took about an hour to get them, even just tap water. It should not take that long. I know it was a large group but it was planned, just have water on the table already. The staff were not friendly and I honestly felt like they were very unhappy we were there even though we were bringing them a lot of money. When you have spent £50 on a preset menu, I expect the staff to be friendly. We got shouted at a lot. For my meal I had mushrooms, lasagna and cheese cake. It was all very average but the cheese cake which I thought was meant to be homemade was still frozen. I would not recommend going here.

Not been to Balti Towers for many years The restaurant is tastefully decorated, services is very quick My balti was a little stodgy but taste was ok, my garlic nan wasn’t great and the under cooked Bit more expensive than my usual curry but you can bring my your own beer

We had a fantastic meal at Miller and Carter, Donna was an attentive and lovely waitress, making sure our meal was perfect (which it was!) and ensuring we were looked after. Couldn’t have asked for a better waitress—really made our evening! Thank you :)

Phoned late one evening for a phone order to collect. £22 for 2 curry’s with 6 small prices of meat in each one mainly made up of sauce. Feel rightly ripped off and when I called them about it they said sorry we are almost closed so can’t do anything about it. Avoid

The pub is dog friendly. The staff are lovely and the pub is based in a beautiful old building. Good beer! Couldn't be better! After me and my dog Sam were not welcome at the dog unfriendly Spotted Dog pub (ironic isn't it!) this venue has provided a superb and atmospheric replacement!

Great experience as usual, food was really good, fresh and nice to sit in and eat. Always a good spot for a quick bite! Highly recommend Update, still as good as of 11-2024
