Big Malakas in Warwick

BIG MALAKAS. Ordered on Uber eats Sunday, won’t be ordering again. We’ve had big malakas a few times now, first time at a friends wedding and it was great, second time it wasn’t amazing but still good! But this time round it was inedible, such a shame cause it’s the only place that does vegan kebabs in this area that I don’t have to make myself. The order took an hour and half to be made, was cold when it got here. Which were more than happy to hear food up, that’s fine, so we did, and when we unboxed it, the whole thing was dripping in grease, now we are aware of you order a kebab, and chips it’s going to be cooked in grease- but the now cold bread, was soggy with oil. Really off putting, we headed it up anyway, took a bite and it was horrendous. The thing was dripping, from the paper, out of the kebab….into the bowl, full of oil. I’ve never seen anything like it. One bit of tomato, like 4 chips in the kebab, no sauce, and half cooked “meat”. we ordered a side of chips on the side and there was less than a hand full of chips in the bags. For £36 you’d think you could get a properly cooked kebab? To add to that ….before I decided to do a review, I messaged them directly to sort it out and just give them feed back. They saw my message instantly after it was sent, ignored me. Hours later I sent another just to say I’m happy to wait if they were busy but i do want to get this sorted. And again, saw the message and ignored me. So unfortunately I’ve had to take this approach. I wouldn’t bother ordering from this place, disapointing. I would have been forgiving if it was just a just a slip up and they’d replied but just to ignore my messages is abit rude, luckily I took Photos and have sent Uber the photos and they’ve given me a full refund because of how bad the order was! Also wierd name….. translated back to English as “big w*nker” …… very strange.

Great food, ready bang on time. Give it a go, hopefully you’ll love it too! We had the beef gyros and the chicken gyros. Both were fantastic and the chips are nice and crunchy!

Ordered from Big Malakas for first time on Saturday - ordered for 6.45, the time arrived to collect, the chefs were finishing boxing my food spot on 6.45 - we had the feta and tomato starter and meat balls both were delicious especially the feta. We had a chicken and a haloumi kebab with chips- again both delicious and really good sized portions - also very good value - can’t wait to have again - hopefully in the fantastic black pug pub - thanks chefs

Fab food. Greeted with a warm smile and a kitchen hard at work which was great to see in these uncertain times! Amazing calamari would definitely recommend. Portion sizes give you brilliant bang for your buck! Will be back next week!

When it came down to deciding where to order from, it was the easiest decision we have made in lockdown. Having seen Big Malakas all over Instagram and Facebook, we couldn't wait for some delicious greek food! Now this is where it gets good. Looking at the menu it was like our eyes were being graced by Zeus himself! Gyros, Souvlaki, Moussaka, and so much more! We ordered almost one of everything, and we didn't regret it. It was delivered bang on time, and piping hot from the kitchen! Everything was done with all safety measures in-place, and we ate like we were at banquet in Ancient Greece. This is the best takeaway we have had in such a long time! 10/10, you need to try this!

We ordered a Big Malakas to cheer ourselves up during lockdown. And when the food came I was reminded that good things still exist in the world. While the chicken melted in my mouth, the worries of the pandemic melted away. I crunched on a chip and I smiled for the first time since hearing about the new covid strain. A mouthful of gyros and I was transported to a beach in Greece (all without having to fanny around with my passport!) Even the sleek food containers made an impression - I will be adding these to my tupperware collection! If you like Greek food and you like tupperware - you must try Big Malakas.

Instantly a hit as soon as it was delivered and the aromas of forgotten holidays filled the living room. And the husband dove straight in for the Mythos! Well done and congrats to the big malakas with your opening weekend. Gyros was perfect with some mind blowing chicken. Highly recommend to all! Top chef you’ve got there! And the lamb was top notch (everyone try the potatoes!). We’re glad you’re here, great first impression and we’re going to preorder for next weekend too!

Amazing authentic Greek food that came in time and piping hot. Will definitely be ordering from here again.
