I think 3 stars is fair. £8.69 for a chicken burger meal. Value for money not so sure. The fries were somehow dry in my oppinion so let it down for me.. The chicken burger was nice though. Would of got 4 stars if the price was maybe a bit cheaper. I was just expecting a chicken shop next to a garage to be a little less pricy. No issues with service nice and quick. I asked how much for some strips on the side and it was like another 4.99 .

Stopped here as was near to Ashby canal we were travelling on. The Indian restaurant is run at the back part of the pub building. As we had a dog with us, asked about options. Pub and mango tree staff were really helpful - couldn’t take the dog in the restaurant but if we sat in the pub bar they could serve us there (a great compromise). Really delicious food. Understand they also deliver takeaway to where the canal intersects the road. Great night out - many thanks

The spare pork ribs in curry sauce were absolutely delicious. Spare pork ribs in curry sauce would have been even better if you cook the ribs a little longer to make them more tender than they already were. Portion size: probably needs to be increased slightly and cutting the ribs into pieces, not serving long in size.

Shame it's closed down the people and food was good always a warm welcome and the food was always hot and freshly made 😞

This cafe has always been cheap with good food. It has been taken over by new owners and it is the same quality food cooked to perfection. The prices have always been low with the old owners. We walked in today for some lunch. We noticed the newly printed menu. My husband wanted a small breakfast which always has been £ 5.50 but it had gone up in price to £ 6.50. I wanted a cheese and ham toastie which was £ 4.50 but now gone up to £ 5.95!!!!! You have a breakfast for £ 6.50! I can't justify £ 5.95 for a toastie and sadly for the greedy new owners we walked out without ordering. We won't be coming back after 15 years. Wish Sharon (the previous owner) was still here. On a previous visit before the price increase we saw the new owner get into a spat with a customer and was quite rude.

Such a lovely place with the kindest people and fantastic service. Good was stunning and full of flavour. Zehra our waitress was so sweet and kind and also very attentive. She suggested some really nice dishes.

The actual restaurant is lovely and the young staff were really lovely, the food itself was very disappointing. The Brussel sprout were un=eatable little bullets, the carrot were luke warm at nest. A real shame, service slow and it want busy and the bill was presented 3 time wrong!

Really good menu selection and staff were helpful and efficient. We had the Mediterranean mezze which was delicately spiced and perfectly cooked and presented. One thing which is a training issue when our card was declined on payment (we have a debit card which earns points as we spend but you have to transfer the money onto it in advance) a simple ‘sorry would you mind trying another card’ is the correct way to handle it rather than a very loud ‘it says your card has been declined!’ Remember you never know who is standing in front of you and what their circumstances are. I’m a professional food reviewer luckily on this occasion it was my day off!

No longer do food, I ordered 5 tequila rose they charged me for 4 this cost 14 pound when there was a discount 5 for 10 pound. I argued with the staff and manager it wasn’t about the money but more about the principal, very unhappy staff here are very unprofessional and new hires who have not been trained properly, I asked to speak to the manager who was a short red haired lady and she did not care less almost using the poor bartender as a messenger, there’s a lot of times these days where because pubs become a hub for young people they do not need to keep there professionalism and unfortunately this has now turned into it.

Not actually been for ages, but did go to the shop next door to this the other day. So let's give it 5*s anyway, as the ice cream / jelly sundae was epic
