The Inn was a great place to stay as a base for our visit to Oldfield Forge. Garway is very remote & consists of little more than the Inn, a church, a village shop & a primary school, so check-in was quite late to coincide with village life opening hours. The Inn is a lovely combination of rustic & modern. We stayed in "Sun" which was really spacious, warm & comfortable, & felt like a mini apartment rather than just a room. The proprietors were welcoming & friendly hosts. Breakfast was good quality - being a city girl, I forgot that being a vegetarian is a dietary requirement & didn't notify ahead of time, so the full English was not so full. Evening meals were also good quality pub grub - there are veggie/vegan options on the menu, but choice is more limited than for omnivores. There isn't anywhere else to eat out in the village.

Very nice venue in an idyllic bit of Herefordshire, very close to the Wye. The pub opened specially for our group of around 20 (not normally open on winter Tuesdays) and the food was excellent. Alas our hostess Katie had a medical emergency that day and no desserts were on offer, but we will definitely return.

We arrived on a Saturday evening without a booking having been let down elsewhere and we were greeted promptly and politely. We were shown to a table almost immediately and allowed time to settle before our server took our order. We eat out a lot and get served by people ranging from awful to outstanding and we were lucky today that our server was Lilly - a thoroughly engaging, competent and friendly young lady that would be an asset to any business. The food arrived promptly, well presented and tasted great. We had a variety of dishes including antipasto, breads, olives, pizza and fish cakes. All the food was lovely. Overall a great experience made all the better by a great young server. We're not from the area but if we were i think it would be a regular stop for us.

We had been a few weeks ago after moving to the area a while back. We were looking forward to trying the Thai food but the Thai chefs were on holiday. That wasn’t a problem as we enjoyed a fantastic pub meal of Beef pie with chips. But we really wanted the Thai food so we returned last night with friends. Amazing, staff were super friendly and accommodating, wine was great. Food was exceptional. Each dish was extremely tasty and they were all different. You can ask for more chilli if you like it spicy, and there are milder dishes for the less adventurous. My Green Thai curry with chicken was amazing, and the chicken gyoza were delicious! We were all delighted with our choices. The pub was full of lovely local people and had a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem!
