We arrived on a Saturday evening without a booking having been let down elsewhere and we were greeted promptly and politely. We were shown to a table almost immediately and allowed time to settle before our server took our order. We eat out a lot and get served by people ranging from awful to outstanding and we were lucky today that our server was Lilly - a thoroughly engaging, competent and friendly young lady that would be an asset to any business. The food arrived promptly, well presented and tasted great. We had a variety of dishes including antipasto, breads, olives, pizza and fish cakes. All the food was lovely. Overall a great experience made all the better by a great young server. We're not from the area but if we were i think it would be a regular stop for us.

Very good Italian restaurant. We ordered Lasagne, carbonara and two penne arrabbiata . All delicious. The deserts were top quality too. Will definitely return. Service was friendly and efficient.

Food was OK, my husband enjoyed his vegetarian pizza and I liked the offer of a smaller portion with salad. My carbonara was tasty but gluey. When we visited, mid afternoon on Saturday it was probably half full but the service was SO slow. Our order was taken and we waited ages for a starter, which was only 2 pieces of Focaccia with dip.The servers were pleasant so I don’t blame them. Something is seriously wrong in the kitchen. I realise it’s a nationwide chain but local beer or cider option would have been good.

Very nice food although slow. It would have been more appetising had not the girl waiting tables not been repeatedly rubbing her lips and nostrils with stuff from a pot taken from her pocket then carrying plates with the same hand

Very expensive. Over £70 for one course each, two glasses of wine and a coffee. My Philly cheesesteak sandwich was a small slice of bread with a few strips of steak (tough) and not much else. My wife's lasagne was Ok but nothing special. Not surprised that this chain is not doing too well.

The food was nice, service was ok. What we didn’t appreciate was the service charge being added to our bill automatically. We were asked if we would like to remove the service charge, which we said yes to. To notice when we went to pay; that it hadn’t been removed and were asked again, are you sure you want to remove the service charge. Made us feel quite awkward.

I've not been here before and I wasn't disappointed. Chose from the £15, 3 course menu and was really nice. The staff were very friendly and one of the desserts was frozen and the staff replaced it without any issues. Look forward to going again and would recommend Wildwood to anyone

Me and my boyfriend came here last night for our valentines meal. This is usually my favourite place to come but last night I was very disappointed! We ordered our food our starters came in about 20 mins after ordering however after that we waited around 45 mins for our mains to come . I asked a waitress where our food was and she brought mine out, she assured me that my bowl of pasta was very hot however it wasn’t and my pasta to touch was stone cold but looked burnt. I told the waiter that came to the table he apologised and took it back 10 mins later my boyfriends burger came and then a few minutes later my pasta returned and was clearly microwaved as my pasta was rubbery. we also didn’t have any cutlery at this point so had to wait for someone to walk past to ask for some, the couples around us where getting their food before us when we ordered around 10-20mins before they did . I was absolutely gutted as this was my favourite place to go . I understand it was valentines night and was a busy time for the restaurant but I will not be returning in a hurry!

Bit disappointed with our experience here. Food itself was great and came quickly however the rest of the service was a poor. Ordered a mojito from the cocktail menu, didn't taste like there was much alcohol in it plus was made with ice cubes instead of crushed ice not sure if that was normal or if the staff couldn't be bothered to make it properly but if you're not providing crushed ice then Mojito shouldn't be on your menu. We asked for a water jug and it wasn't brought so we had to ask again. The restaurant was not busy. We arrived at around 8:30pm and there were only 3 other tables in there. We were given food but were not asked if we wanted more drinks, we then tried to get the attention of what looked to be the manager but she was more interested in chatting to other staff members and clearing up ready for closing. We were not checked back on to see if the meal was ok either. As we ended up finishing our meal without another drink we decided not to get one because we felt a bit abandoned. As soon as we had finished eating shopping she was straight over to take plates but again didn't ask about drinks. She brought over the dessert menu to which we said no thank you and we asked for the bill. When she brought it over the only thing she said was, you can take the service off if you want as it's only optional. We chose to take off the service charge because we didn't feel like we had received good service. I have worked in restaurants and understand basic service and I don't think we received that.

Had a family lunch when visiting Hereford and were somewhat disapointed with the quality of the fare on offer. Most of the dishes we had seemed to be precooked and reheated; in some instances overheated. Service was alright but not very friendly and the room was noisy. I doubt if we would visit again.

We visited on the 2nd January for lunch! We arrived 10 minutes before opening but were shown to a table none the less. We asked for a window table as our son likes to watch traffic. The staff member put two tables together for us no problem and swapped out 2 seats for high chairs. Our waiter was extremely friendly, we asked if 2 of our 3 children could share one meal as they are only 1 and 2 so wouldn’t eat a whole meal deal each, our other child had her own! This was no problem, the waiter even put two straws in the drink, it’s the little things like this that make a great experience. Our 2 year old accidentally knocked the drink on the floor, the waiter came over, he wasn’t funny with us about it, he was all smiles and even offered to refill the drink. We felt really comfortable and valued, it’s hard eating out with 3 children but we felt very welcome here. My husband and I had the lunch meal deal, fantastic value at £12 for 2 courses and £15 for 3 courses, you can’t get a McDonalds for that and this food was beautiful! Such a shame the wildwood in Ludlow has closed down, we would frequent it often if it was open! I didn’t catch the waiters name but I really would like to thank him for his fantastic service!

What a disappointing meal. Took ages to be served. The food was mediocre. The desserts took ages to arrive. 10% service charge automatically added? - er, no! Won’t be going there again.

Very disappointing experience. Food on the menu was unavailable. Very noisy as ice crushing machine was located in the dining area, less than 10 feet away. The only person who was courteous and efficient was the waitress wearing the red tee shirt. The management was inept and disinterested. A 10% service charge was added to the bill despite the dreadful service. Never again.

Service was fine. Food was pub standard and horrifically overpriced. The fact that they automatically add on a 10% service charge to the bill really does take the biscuit...yes you can ask them to remove it but will likely get judged for doing so. Will not be returning. Absolute rip off

Staff whom can't work a til, or listen to orders, no apologies for poor service, ruined my lunch with friends. They tried to over charge me for food I had ordered and not received. Found the manageress bit rude as we made a point of giving credit for the waitress Kayleigh and she did not even respond. So if you visit here hopefully you will get Kayleigh she is so attentive and friendly.

Not normally fussy on food but paid £50 for Sainsbury’s basic pizza and a ready meal which took forever to come out, was cold and horrid

Ordered a pizza. You'd think there was very little to go wrong with a pizza right ?.... There was more salt in the pizza, than the dead sea. Service, Atmosphere and Location were good. Food not so good.

Came here for lunch and was greeted by a friendly waitress, Claudia. Got a nice table by the window and the food came quickly. The food was lovely, very tasty! Had two courses for £11.95 which was pretty good value. The chicken burger was lovely with plenty of hot chips. Would definately return

Clean restaurant, pleasant atmosphere, good service and tasty food. The waitress was nice and paid attention to our orders. She kept in mind that I have a food allergy and brought a dish without the specific ingredient. From time to time she asked us if the food is ok and if we need something else. The service was fast, the restaurant has a cozy style and a lot of space. I recommend this place especially if you like Italian cuisine.

We have been to Wildwood on a number of occasions and as a rule love it! So imagine our disappointment when we ordered through Just Eat for delivery. The restaurant blamed Just Eat, the delivery driver blamed the restaurant. However, when the food did arrive an hour and a half after the original delivery time one half was hot the other half of the same dish was cold. My daughters meal looked like, I quote, "someone just threw up in the box". The driver said they had been to the restaurant THREE times and had been turned away each time, then called back to the restaurant to pick up at 8.20 pm when the restaurant closes at 8.30 pm, the driver was really quite upset and angry. When I called the restaurant the first time they told me they couldn't do anything as the order was showing as "driver at restaurant". I tried to contact Just Eat to no avail. I called the restaurant at 8.22 pm the second time and was told they had contacted Just Eat and the delivery driver was there packing the order as we spoke and that as a gesture of good will they would send a bottle of wine. The whole situation and experience was just incredibly disappointing.

Recently ordered a take away via just eat, and order was wrong, chicken ordered with sweet potatoe fries and received potatoe chips, cesar salad arrived minus egg and anchovies obviously very poor kitchen management. We complained but no joy from W ildwood, and just eat were just short of useless. If this happens again I will be insisting that just eat collect our order from us and bring it back correctly which I am sure we would be in our rights to do.

This was our second time here, and everything was outstanding. Friendly and welcoming staff, an attentive but relaxed service from the manager and the best pizza chef we’ve ever had. After 25 years frequenting Pizza Express, and in recent years, Zizzi’s, we’ve made the switch to this branch. We live over an hour away, but will be visiting again just to celebrate here, it’s that good. My husband is gluten free and after fearing that no one on the planet could serve a pizza that wasn’t still partly frozen, we were so happy to receive a large, very hot and delicious pizza that wasn’t embarrassingly small. Being vegetarian too, we were spoilt for choice. It’s so rare you get friendly and efficient service nowadays, and care put into a place to the extent they do here. We hope they continue to be supported and are here for a long time to come. Also…visited the toilets and they were as spotless as the restaurant. What more can diners ask for?

We came in as a family before a show at the theatre. Service was extremely slow, they got our order wrong, took 45 minutes to bring it out and then it took 20 minutes for them to give us our bill. When we asked for the bill for the third time, they finally gave it to us, and told us the delay was because they gave our bill to another table by mistake (who paid it!). Its a shame staff in the Hereford branch need more training, as usually the food at this chain is great.

Came in with my family and was utterly shocked with the service!! Lady who was wearing her own clothes, not sure if she’s management or a bar lady was so rude. Service was slow, nobody had any idea what they were doing. Top it off the food was dry and bland! Won’t be dining here again! Rather go next door for better food and service!

We stopped for an impromptu lunch, having been before we knew we could expect a good choice of italian food and a nice atmosphere. The tables were socially distanced and masks were worn in public areas so it all felt nice and safe. We both went for pizza. Both were delicious lovely thin and tasty base with great quality toppings. Very filling for a lunch too as we couldn't manage any pudding!

Stopped today at the Wildwood. Picked a table outside in the sun, to make the most of the sun. Ordered a couple of glasses of wine, a bulmers and the lovely raspberry lemonade. We ordered the baked ciabatta with lovely red pepper tapenade and balsamic, halloumi fries, sweet potato fries, normal fries and garlic bread - just to have a leisurely nibble. Food was gorgeous as ever, great service too. A lovely little stop off on our road trip.

Despite not being busy we had to wait a while for our meals, and when they came the pasta meal was just that, pasta with a little sauce over it, nothing else and it was cold! My friend's chips were also cold, as if the plates had been put down and delivered later as an afterthought. We questioned the bill as they had advertised 50% off. We were informed we would receive the 50% off our next visit......there won't be another visit!

Eating out is not just about the food. The food was great. Full stop. Our waiter, Tristan, was exceptional. We had a discussion about drink, Leffe was agreed on..... and his general demeanour and attitude was spot on.

So last day of the eat out to help out scheme.Starter had to go back - prawns as it was cold.Main - I went for the steak - still not very hot but I ate it. - salad was poor no garnish and they do not have any horse radish when serving steak. Other meals were ok.

Went to Wildwood recently with family whilst the eat out to help out scheme was taking place. I had a spag Bol which I thought I couldn’t go wrong with as it is a fairly simple dish but no.... it was like dish water and over cooked pasta! Will not be returning sadly.

My friend and I were meeting for the first time since lock down, we were delighted to get a table at wild wood... neve regain, or atleast until they have a chef who can cook behind the line, my friends Steak was blue, had asked for it to be medium, 16 chips on the plate and the portobello mushroom was two normal mushrooms, my chicken burger was burnt, bacon hard, when we queried the chip portion size, we were given a beaker of fresh chips, said chips were covered in black residue, indicating oil needed changing, Not to mention they had not been drained, you honestly could not make this up!!! Poor show tonight. Our waitress was very apologetic, not her fault the chef couldn't cook.

My friend and I ate here today due to the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme. We both had pizzas which tasted great. The restaurant was very busy, but we were kept updated on when our drinks and food would arrive. The staff were amazing and extremely friendly- also a bonus getting 50% off our food. Would definitely return once again due to another great experience.

Called in for lunch. My wife had a pizza and I had the beef lasagna. The food was excellent; well presented and very tasty. The staff were cheerful and friendly.The prices were average: what you would expect to pay. But we did have a 50 % off all food voucher.

Food and service good. However I wanted the Turkey Pizza which I was told was not available, although on the Menu. I was told that the menus were not up to date. Not impressed that Menu being offered was not correct. My orginal choice was the Turkey Pizza and could not have it. The alternative was good but if you are given a menu you expect to be able to have what is on it.

Unfortunately they have changed their menu and no longer do the vegetarian arancini or mushroom burger that I really enjoyed previously. Therefore I ordered the vegan philly sandwich but they brought me the wrong dish. The waitress was apologetic and sorted me the correct meal but my husband was already eating his so his wouldn’t go cold whilst I was sat waiting . When my meal came, it was ok but not the nicest ( definitely needs taking off the menu). Afterwards we ordered a desert each , I ordered the orange brownie but again was disappointed when the waitress came back to say they had run out of the brownie and also didn’t have the sticky toffee pudding. This was just after 8pm on a Saturday evening so still quite early to be running out of things. As you can imagine a disappointing evening for us and then no offer of a discount or free drink or anything. My experience does not make me feel like returning unfortunately.
