mine partner went today with kids as a treat for them with margherita pizza being advertised as £5 deal, they got him kids sizes to start with.. because it was "for kids" and charged him £6 as for kids size pizza on the day when normal size was just £5.. Really pore service, he realised after he left that something was odd with the price as he also got drinks..

I was having a walk around town and looking for a quick bite to eat.. I walked past this place and it looked busy from outside. I quickly had a look on my Google reviews and noticed it is rated highly. Lucky I didn't have to wait long for a table, I was seen straight to my seat. I would recommend booking in advanced for big groups. I was on a bit of a sharp time frame and had to be somewhere not long after having food. I was served my food about 20-25 minutes after sitting down, which was great considering how busy it was. I had the special pizza "Goats cheese & caramelised onion", calamari and a homemade lemonade which was really fresh and lovely. The calamari was beautifully cooked and not burnt, so it wasn't rubbery. The breadcrumbs were so fluffy and didn't fall off everywhere. The pizza was massive and very reasonable for the size and quality. For me it was cooked great as the pizza base wasn't soggy and not too crispy. The toppings were lovely and fresh. A nice touch to get a pizza cutter as cutlery. At the side next to the sky you had oil if you wanted that. I really enjoyed the pizza and the whole experience. I was served by Amber and she was super nice and very attentive, as was all of the were great. If I'm ever back in Hereford, I'd come here again. Overall - definitely worth a visit and I was still able to get to my party on time.

Honey and peperoni pizza is amazing and exactly what i heard from friends. Calamari also v fresh and perfectly cooked. Amber was also great and took time to explain the different pizzas to me. Would definately recommend and come again.

So - we have been 3 times in the last 4 weeks!! Definitely our new favourite place!! Harry was brilliant tonight, attentive and also provided us with boxes to take away what we couldn’t manage to finish this evening. The food was as always superb. Thank you Leaven - Heaven!!

Lovely pizza, lovely staff, lovely restaurant!

We had a delicious meal at Leaven, tasty Arancini and olives to start and thin, beautiful pizzas for our mains. They were really good! We had great service, attentive but not overbearing. The pistachio gelato was a great way to finish our meal.

Visited here yesterday with two mates, Pizza was absolutely fantastic as was the meatballs, roasties with aioli were heavenly, Even better was the service, I belive the young woman that served us was Amber, though I may have misremembered, Greeted us with a warm smile and quick service helped us with any questions and made it an all round great experience, couldn't have asked for a better Host, Massive thanks to you Amber and the chefs.

Superb afternoon deal pizza. I tried the fennel sausage one and it was excellent. Lovely crispy dough. Bargain although a bit smaller than usual.

Arrived to find that half the party were on the opposite side of the restaurant, in a completely seperare area. Manager had no interest in attempting to resolve the issue at all. Very disappointing. What was supposed to be a family celebration for my sons 16th birthday, was ruined by poor organisation skills.

Very disappointing, had a fungi ( mushroom pizza) expecting something really nice but whatever the fungi were, would be hard to tell as they appeared to be well past their use by date and more closely resembled black slime.

Great food, tried the Squash pizza which sounds odd but was so amazing!! Service fab and staff were very friendly and relaxed. Looking forward to going again and trying something different.

Tried this place when it first opened during covid with its square pizzas.. and absolutely loved it. HOWEVER.. didn't enjoy it too much when we finally visited the other week. Staff and setting were lovely and it looked incredible 👌but sadly the pizza just tasted undercooked and chewy. We were looking forward to it but won't be going back. It was okay but definitely not what we wished for. Impasto in Worcester is brilliant and we'd hoped Leaven would be similar italian pizzas. Please try theirs and youll see. Thank you though everyone was lovely. I dont want any ill thought, but was given a card to review you and wanted to be honest. Absolutely hate having to cut the pizza yourself... especially when the plate is the size of the pizza. Its so awkward and I really didn't like doing it..

I visited with my family (a group of seven), and we had a fantastic experience from start to finish. We ordered starters and mains, sampling a variety of dishes, and every single one was excellent! The pizza was the star of the evening. The bases were perfectly crafted — light, crispy yet doughy. The topping combinations offer a mix of classics, like the always-delicious Margherita, and more adventurous choices. I tried the Gorgonzola and Pickled Pear, and it was simply outstanding — a must-try for anyone visiting! The service was friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Leaven Pizza to anyone nearby or visiting the area. It’s worth the trip — go and support this gem!

Absolutely delicious food which totally lived up to the hype. We have wanted to eat here for a while and it did not disappoint. We had a table of 7 made up of mixed ages and everyone loved the food, it was beautifully presented and obviously lovely quality. We had starters, mains (pizzas) and drinks and we felt it was really reasonably priced for such gorgeous food. The restaurant is lovely and was warm (it was so cold outside) and service was really good. Thank you Leaven! If you are thinking of going...don't hesitate.

Food was ok. Nothing to rave about. Pizzas were much better when they were delivered during lockdown as the pizza kits to make at home, is it still the same people? Had the duck parpadelle, lacked flavour, huge portion and looked a bit of a mess. A friend asked for spinach as a topping instead of tomatoes and was charged extra for it.

Leven Heaven. Excellent pizza, just a cut above. Super menu with smart genuinely good starters with a proper nod to Italy and dare I say my beloved Napoli. #forzaleven

My daughter, toddler granddaughter and I stopped by for lunch today. We were warmly greeted by Amber& we were helped through the door with the pushchair. The restaurant was quite busy for a Thursday but we were found a nice spacious table and provided with crayon activity for the little one. The choices were excellent on the menu. The toddler/child menu is good too. I haven’t had proper pizzeria pizza in absolutely ages so this was an utter treat for me today- especially as it was my first visit to this lovely restaurant. I chose the hot honey as my daughter had tried it many times and recommend it. Tasting this pizza reminded me of being on holiday in Sorrento almost 20 years ago, the pizza was so delicious. I tasted a tiny bit of my granddaughter’s garlic bread too and that was superb. All in all a lovely visit and excellent service by the pleasant staff on duty today, which included Amber our waitress. I highly recommend the pizza here.

Lovely restaurant with Decently priced good food

We were very lucky to get a table for 2 in this busy little restaurant. We received a warm and friendly welcome and the smell of the food as we stepped in was mouthwatering. They offer really good value smaller pizzas on weekday lunchtimes which we both had with a side dish. It took a little while for our food to arrive but it was definitely worth the wait, everything (pizzas, garlic bread, arancini) was absolutely delicious. I really hope to return on my next trip to Hereford.

Lovely restaurant, we went on a Sunday evening as a table of 30. The food was all hot and promptly served. Annoyingly last orders for drinks were 8:30pm.

Best pizza in town…or any town I suspect.

Food excellent, staff a little slow coming over and returning at end of meal to enquire about dessert. But very friendly. Menu is a bit limited, so not somewhere you could go frequently. But we did go for the award winning Pizza and that's what we got. Well worth a visit and I am probably just a bit old, so don't eat pizza often.

Excellent food, service. Metal straws were a bit annoying and the walls were a bit destroyed.

Usually the pizza is great here. today the special was porcini and prosciutto but when it arrived it also had goats cheese and pesto with no tomato sauce none of which was listed. There were far too many mushrooms which unfortunately were slimy and overpowered everything. Lesson learned…..ask exactly what is on the pizza and don’t expect it to be just what is listed.

Amazing pizza will 100% be going back, all staff were super friendly and helpful! Went on a Saturday lunchtime and didn't need to book. Alioli dip was worth having too

Great impromptu lunch and would definitely go back. A salad, a pizza and a pasta. Minor quibbles meant 4 stars but overall very happy. Pizza dough very good, would have preferred 30 more seconds in oven for very crisp base. Salad a little overseasoned. Drinks took a while and wasn't that busy. All in all great food, friendly staff and good drinks list in relaxed environment.

Price is a little steep, but what bugged me the most was the pizza - if it is meant to be authentic, the crust should not be crispy but soft. Starters are way overpriced.

Dropped in for lunch - over been here before. Victoria made me very welcome and explained the menu well. The fennel sausage pizza was so tasty, with a great kick of garlic. It was a white pizza, but still had a great Mediterranean taste, just what I wanted. Great to have fresh sourdough pizza in Hereford. Will eat here again

Quality food and a beautiful tiramisu that’s tastes just like Italy!

Clean dining area and kitchen, filling portions and good food. While the Lasagne could do with more bechamel and my brownie could have been warmer, the portions were satisfying and the food was flavourful and hearty. Staff were friendly and attentive despite our late arrival. For disabled patrons, the restaurant is situated in front of disabled parking and the doors were wide enough for wheelchair access. I look forward to going again!

An impromptu drop in for supper after viewing the “Space Light Show” at the Cathedral. Beaming smile and welcome from the lady on the door and it all went completely the right way from there on in. Really efficient service from an energetic and knowledgeable team who were engaging and friendly. A shared meal with my wife of two excellent starters and a pizza that was beautifully cooked and a large glass of very good wine. The atmosphere was great. It’s so pleasant to go to a restaurant where you’re so well looked after.

Quality pizza and generous portions. Restaurant was a bit chilly though, could do with turning the radiator up. B+ Will come again.

Found it lacking, pizza's need more topping especially if you're paying for extra toppings, lots of crust wasted. Spaghetti and meatballs, sauce needs more seasoning and substance, bit thin, meatballs were dry, although flavour was good. Childs pasta, would be good if they didn't use the big pasta tubes and thought about who they are catering for, smaller mouths. Also needs more sauce very dry! Staff very helpful and pleasant can't fault the service. Will not be rushing back.

This is a great pizza place to try! Their sourdough recipe is very flavourful, and all of their ingredients are fresh.
