Zizzi - Hereford in Herefordshire, County of

A table of 2 was booked online for our young couple for Valentine’s at 6.15pm. On arrival a chap greeted our young couple and stated they only had an hour for a 3 course dinner, I fail to see how this can be achieved! I, as an adult challenged this and the response I got was extremely unprofessional and unpleasant. On the time of booking this was not in the confirmation email! To which I showed the server. The chap was rude and belligerent! Complete lack of customer service that I have never come across before! It’s now very clear why this establishment is generally quiet! I cannot comment on the food as I didn’t eat on this occasion but will never book again and I didn’t even get through the door!!!

I have dined at Zizzi’s on a number of occasions (including Hereford), but my experience on 21.12.24 was not a good one. I have always ordered a gluten free pasta dish but on this visit I chose the GF pizza. The presentation looked delicious but discovered after the first bite that the base was not cooked (at all). I politely asked for it to be returned and the same pizza was returned to me burnt around the edge. I lifted the pizza and it was still not cooked. I sat at the table not eating until the staff arrived to collect the plates after the others had finished. I was asked if my pizza was okay to which I replied, “No, it’s not cooked.” I was told there would be no charge and the pizza was taken away. A senior member of the team approached me about the pizza and when I explained I was told, “That’s the problem with gluten free; the base doesn’t cook!!!” I’ve been GF for 26yrs and every pizza I have eaten at a restaurant or put in my oven has cooked to perfection. What a lame excuse. I understand this was the weekend before Christmas and the staff were exceptionally busy but all this resulting in was poor food, awful service and being treated like I was sat in a fast food place. They couldn’t get us in and out quick enough

Asked Firstly about allergies before taking our order. All staff were very helpful and served us in good time. Olivia made time to chat & take our picture even though there was christmas party's going on She did the same for another table of guests too. The food was plentiful, nice & hot, and delicious. Will definitely go again to try out other dishes. Thankyou.

Eaten pizza here a few times and it's very good.

Had our Christmas meal here and there was a mix-up on our part with a starter; a colleague accidentally ate mine. The staff did another one for me for free. It was greatly appreciated, thank you!

Service so very slow despite them knowing in advance our orders. No beef, only two types of gin and then they ran out of blood orange gin and just brought out another drink instead?? It’s quite important that people know what they are drinking. The young serving staff were polite and doing their very best but unfortunately the lady who was in charge was not leading them so they could only do their best. No beef, ran out of gin and then no passion fruit! Food was lovely and despite it all we all enjoyed ourselves. Good company can always make a good evening. And thankyou to the team that were trying their very hardest for a lovely evening. Hope you get a better team leader soon!

Visited Zizzi a couple of weeks ago and had a really fantastic time. Our meals were delicious and we were made to feel so welcome by the manager, Alex. We would definitely like to return.

Visited the other day and had a lovely welcome from Alex. He provided some wonderful recommendations. I had the rustica piccante, which was very tasty. Will definitely return.

Although the service was pretty good, the food was rather rubbish! My ravioli tasted like the smell of wet dogs, my son’s salad was poor with stringy cold pumpkin/squash and the pizzas were unremarkable and ordinary. The table hadn’t been properly cleaned when we sat down either with the previous pizza crumbs still on it. It was a great shame - the whole thing cost £87 and I feel resentful at having to pay that out for food which was really disappointing. We used to enjoy coming to Zizzis but sadly it has really gone down hill.

Love the chicken spiedini wish they did it as a main still.The cheese garlic bread was delicious and loved the hot honey dip with the chicken.

Havent been to a ZiZi in years. This one definatley did not disappoint. The waitress was friendly and attentive without being over bearing. We can highly recommend the morello cherry 🍒 mocktail it was delicious. The food was amazing and well worth the money.

Excellent food as always. Great service, the staff were very accommodating with my allergy, which is not one of the common ones (black pepper)! We always find the staff really welcoming and helpful. The restaurant itself is well-decorated and has a lovely atmosphere.

my family and i recentyl had a fantastic meal at zizzis, thanks to our wonderful waitress Olivia. from the moment we sat down, Olivia made us feel welcome and comfortable. she was attentative and always smiling. unlike other restraunts in the area, olivia made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. she even took time to chat to my daughter which brightened her day, which added a nice personal touch.

Great food, went for the pizza sofia, which i highly recommend. staff were lovely and attentitive. i definitely recommend Olivia she was very organised and greeted me with a big smile.

Came in to Zizi’s last week, I had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely brilliant, I had a Sticky Pig Pizza - made by the charming Jonty, who came over and had a lovely chat with us. I will definitely be returning soon, best pizza in Hereford.

We visited zizzi in hereford and ordered rustic pizzas, the chef Jonty made us the best pizzas we have ever had and we go back on a regular basis when Jonty is working. Top man Jonty. 5* pizza man.

Had a mixed meat pasta (new dish) enough for a small child and couldn't taste any meat . We don't do Italian very often and this certainly isn't a good advert

Alex and Izzy were exceptional. They knew about the dishes on the menu and made good recommendations. We were looked after very well and can't speak highly enough about these two ladies. Thank you both for a lovely lunch.

Takeaway burnt dry , must have scalped the topping off. Box looked more appetising than the pizza. Will go to marks and Spencer’s two for twelve pound and sides next time

Never tried Zizi before so gave it a go, the food and service were good but the decor could do with a revamp, otherwise OK.

Order wasn't right on the pizza for my son, disappointed on the attention to detail, requested gluten free with meat extras on his pizza, got a gluten free and vegan pizza. Not many deserts available so was disappointed there too. Tried to charge for missing items, but bill was adjusted to the correct amount

Great weekend evening meal here. Food up to it's usual Zizzi standard with the staff very hard working polite and attentive.

Had two separate meals here and I have been impressed with both. The service is excellent and the price is great. I did use a taste card and they do accept it here. I will definitely be coming back.

Last minute decision, was quite busy but still very warm and welcoming service. Food and drink served very promptly. Everything delicious as always. Not our first visit and definitely not the kast

very disappointed, i ordered of uber eat at half ten pm however everything went though okay they accepted the order, but when the uber driver had to ring me and say that zizzi’s were shut. the uber driver was so friendly and helpful and also messaged saying he’s unfortunate for our poor experience, my partner and i are not very unsatisfied!

Couldn't fault Zizzi's today. Great starter (pork meatballs), excellent pizza, (Sticky Pig), and a honeycomb cheesecake to finish. Great service from the girls as well. Even the red wine was good and served at the correct temperature. 5 stars all round.

Wonderful service and lovely food. We visited here on 18/06/24 and we were delighted. Didn’t realise how busy it was until we got into the restaurant. Staff were attentive and friendly, could see they were slightly understaffed. The food was fabulous especially the sharing board. All in all brilliant experience and the staff were great.

Fantastic food and exceptional service from the lovely Olivia. The major disappointment was that they don't take cash.

We walked in as usual looking for a table for 2, asked if we had booked, we replied no, we were told there was a 2 hour wait even though it was emptyish 4 tables occupied. Walked outside and booked a table for 12 minutes later 18:45🤔 that's strange for a 2 hour wait. If you don't want customers at your Hereford branch lick the door and bugger off. Don't go lying to people just be honest that you don't want our trade. No we didn't return in 12 minutes time. We took our business elsewhere.

Delicious food; It all arrives hot and very tasty. The service was also very quick & polite, but my mum said, and I quote: "that was the worst cappuccino I've ever had". (not sarcasm) But other than that it was a great meal out.

Nice restaurant bar the fact you can’t get into the toilet as there is Pidgeon’s (yes multiple) flying around. You can’t even walk in to use it. Very disappointed that I couldn’t even walk in there. Embarrassing

We were in the restaurant for 1.5 hours when we just fancied a quick dinner. Slow unfriendly service, lack of staff, dirty tables. Not even a hello when you walk in despite being right there. Food was cold, had obviously been sat for ages.

Actually came in October 2022 but didn’t post a review straight away due to working for the company at the time. June 2023 is the furthest back that I can put for this. I worked at a separate branch but came in with my mum and some other family members for a quick lunch while I was visiting home. My mum has a NUT ALLERGY, and we clarified this at the door. As I worked for the company, I knew the allergen training/process and this was not followed, and resulted in an allergic reaction. Each allergy table has a glass bottle with ‘allergy’ written on it to show servers not to approach, only managers or supervisors were allowed to serve the table and run the food, allergy dishes had to be marked with a red sticker to show that it was for someone with an allergy and NONE of this was done. I tried to use the allergy qr code but the signal in the building was bad and we couldn’t access it. I had to advise my mum on what to order after the manager didn’t come over to talk to us. The waitress took our order instead, and kept referring us to the qr code when my mum asked questions. The wait times for ordering and our drinks wasn’t great to start with, but when my mum’s food arrived without an ‘allergy’ sticker I started to get a bit annoyed. About halfway through her meal she started having a reaction. Luckily, it was a minor reaction and only her lips and mouth were tingling and going numb. I immediately alerted the manager, who at no point came over to the table. He checked the ingredients for one item in the dish (pesto is typically made with pine nuts but their recipe did not use them) and that was it. I went back to my mum, who was wiping her lips with water and basically rinsing her mouth just to see if it helped the tingling, and fortunately, it did. She had no other reaction, but if it had been more severe then it would’ve been too late by the time the staff would’ve responded. My mum was quite shaken up about the entire thing and didn’t eat out at a restaurant for several months afterwards. During her reaction, the manager on shift and the waitress that took our order were both stood leaning by one of the tills watching. They didn’t come over, check on her or even address the kitchen (from what I could see). They were aware of my mum having a reaction, and they did nothing until the manager came to clear the table, and then he turned to my mum and said “are you feeling alright now, love?” I was livid to say the least. At this point I’d clarified to them I’d be using my staff discount so I didn’t feel like I could kick off or make a scene, so we paid our bill and left. I reported it to the manager at my branch, but I do not believe it was ever followed up on. Quite simply, the allergen process wasn’t followed, my mum had a reaction, the staff were aware, did not come over to help and it was never written up or investigated. We had made a booking so they probably would’ve contacted us had this incident been reported. Haven’t been back since, and frankly still very angry about this.

This was the first time for us. We had a family night out . From the time you walked in the atmosphere was great you felt welcomed the staff were great the young man who waited on us was so polite and helpful and I am sorry we didn't get his name but he had dark curly hair but he was great. Amazing! Always has the best food and staff were lovely. Also they forget a member of our party’s mushrooms on their pizza and so they got them a free drink. The best pizza in hereford it’s so good if your in the area 100% try the pasta and pizza is to die for! Also the cocktails

Arrived for a light lunch on Saturday. Restaurant was busy but I was quickly seated. Decided I’d order the sea bass. This was really nicely presented and felt nice and healthy with lots of veggies included. Staff were friendly and attentive, restaurant was clean and tidy. Very good!

The waiting is terrible. Waited to b seated. Waited ages to get a drink. Waited ages to pay bill. Food just isn't worth the money 18 quid for 3 meatballs n it was dry. Pudding was good and staff polite.

We booked here for ourselves and family 2 weeks previous to the visit, they had traveled a good distance for Easter, we had our starers but we were very disappointed to wait over an hour for pizzas, when I asked about the food as we were the last ones sitting in the restaurant, the waitress said it was just coming.. funny that.. pizza arrived Luke warm. So the food was ready just not served, very disappointing, would not recommend... will try wild woods next time.

A very disappointing meal. I ordered Ragu which arrived lukewarm. The waiter was very good and brought a replacement which was hot but lacking in flavour. My girlfriend had Lasagna which was adequate. When I attempted to pay the bill their card readers failed so I had to pay cash. My card subsequently worked everywhere else I emphasize that the waiter was friendly and efficient.

I ordered one of the larger rustica pizzas, but was delivered one of the smaller, cheaper classic pizzas. The restaurant didn’t answer or return my calls. Not happy. A shame as my other food was otherwise very tasty.

Ordered pasta with chicken! No sauce at all dry pasta 3 different kind in it mushroom accidentally in too.. feel sick already. Called them noone bothers answering the phone I’m sure they know why! If I get food poisoning I sue them.

I ordered food and it cost £16.49, you were late and my food was way too little. It wasn't even worth £3, they are the worst restaurant in Hereford.

Came here with friends a month or so ago. Restaurant had a nice vibe with music. Food was really tasty and came really quickly ! However, the service was poor sadly! It took around 10/15 minutes to be asked which drinks we would like despite a quiet restaurant and a while for our drinks to come. We were worried we had been forgotten about. Glasses of water were lovely and chilled however. Our meal was delicious and we all have a lovely time it was just the service wasn’t great

Got shown to our table 30 minutes later we was offered a drink and took our order the starters came out pretty quick.but then it went down hill fast I had the sticky pig pizza £16:50 5 pieces of crackling on one side and the other side had a dribble of sauce and a few chunks of meat absolutely terrible.when you read the menu it sounds amazing but don’t be fooled it was awful we waited an hr for our main we told the server twice that we was ready for our pizzas she just walked off by this time we had enough then the pizzas arrived 🤦‍♂️ when we tried to get the bill at the end the server wouldn’t acknowledge us so we had to go up and ask for our bill then the server got our bill up on computer and I said we had Tesco vouchers she had to go find someone in the mean time I added my voucher codes onto the till myself it’s not that hard 😂 on the way out the chefs was showing people to tables this is a very very shambolic restaurant which needs sorting out fast

They don't have a classic Hawaiian pizza or the classic Italian anchovies pizza. Disappointed by the lack of classical pizza combinations.

Food was yummy and came out really quick and very hot! They forgot the pancetta on one of our pasta dishes but as soon as our waitress noticed she immediately went back to the kitchen and got us a fresh bowl with all the correct components. Our waitress was Tavy and she was so lovely and so attentive, could not fault her service at all - she's a credit to this restaurant!
