Our first visit. Sitting with my wife on the terrace outside the Pavilion Café. Eating healthy and tasty pizza, made with buckwheat. The sun shining from a blue sky. Two Giant Sequoias lending their shade. A robin alighted on a branch above us, looking at the food, assessing his options. Nowhere else we had to be. Nothing else we had to be doing. Having the wisdom to recognise that we needed nothing else. A little piece of heaven here on Earth.

Tried their bacon roll to take out. I was early so was the first on the grill. I had a nice chat with people who came in, very friendly. The roll came in under 8 mins and was proper wrapped and bagged so I didn't know what to expect till I opened it 10mins later and it was still hot! The batton roll was large soft & fresh from the local bakers. The bacon was juicy and thick, but a bit skimpy for the size of roll, Dutchman's is more generous with bacon, but RJ's was hot off the grill and roll was better. Shop Closed for business on 31st March 2024. Hopefully someone will take it over.

First visit but not the last! Beautiful place, great food, great hosts. Rode from Guildford and it was even better than I expected. The lamb burger (meat from their own farm) was incredible and Dom made a point of thanking me for coming and invited me to their summer bash next year. When did you last get a hand shake from the owner as you left a bike stop?! Keep up the good work chaps

We were told by other hotel guest that this was the best curry they’d had. We are very experienced curry eaters and so was a little sceptical. We were wrong. I love dansak dishes and so I had the tandoori duck dansak. The dansak curry was the best dansak I had had. My wife had chicken merilan with melons, which was creative, beautifully tasty and well presented. Even the mushroom rice and onion bhajis were of top notch quality. Just wished the Taste of India was closer to our home.

We phoned through a large order at just after 6pm on a Saturday evening. An hour and a half later we telephoned to see how much longer and was told that our order hadn't even been started and would be another hour and a half. The group decided that we would cancel our order and when we told the man on the telephone that his customer service was poor, he laughed at us and then proceeded to ask us to give him a moment while he tried to sort something out for us. We politely told him where he could place our order and will definitely not be using again. The word will be passed around our local community to avoid at all costs. Only given one star in order to post review.

Me and 2 of my brothers, went there, on a Saturday afternoon, while the market was on. They had ran out of the pork loin, so me and one brother opted for the homemade beef pie, with carrots, peas,New potatoes and gravy,my other brother opted for the not so small breakfast. There was about 20 minutes wait,as it's cooked as ordered, but it was well worth it! The food came out, piping hot, the pie filling was in abundance, plenty of carrots, peas and lots of gravy. It's a good job that it was piping hot, because, by the time that I finished the meal, it was still warm. Highly recommended, plus the place is very clean, the staff are very friendly and there are toilet facilities, and also a ground floor cafe, aswel.

Had a take away from here this evening after doing some research and this place seemed the better one in the area. Im afraid we were actually very disappointed. We spent the best part of £70. The main courses lacked authentic flavour. The kurma was watery, the chicken tikka masala was in a keema sauce (which was not clear on the menu, and should be called keema masala if that's the case, i didn't enjoy the flavour and didnt eat it), the labrandada was so bland and disappointing. With mains being £10-£13 ish prices were high but i wouldn't have minded if it was tasty. Look, the naan was nice, the rice was nice, the poppadoms were nice so i will compliment that part. As a celebration meal whilst on holiday, we are disappointed and would sadly not recommend. Im gutted to have waisted my hard earned money.

Stumbled across this gem by accident when visiting various venues on H Art week. Friendly welcoming staff. Excellent varied menu with wide range of good value dishes. Mediterranean bias but not exclusively so.

I visit regularly and always enjoy my time there whether im on my own grabbing a quick breakast or taking the family there for a full lunch. Straight forward really good home made food. We love the fresh handcut chips, the soups are lovely and one of my favpurites is the homemade chicken curry served woth rice/chips. The tea, good coffees, home made cakes, Crusha milks, and omelletes, are also very very nice too! The service is always friendly and and you will struggle to find a better priced menu anywhere in town.. exceptionally reasonable! If you wa really tasty, good food, without the artsy fartsy frills, but with a very very reasonable bill this is a fantastic place to go and eat. Lovely staff and service.

This is a litte gem of a cafe in unusual surroundings. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We only had coffee (which was very good) but the cakes and other snacks looked, and smelled, delicious.
